8 Days til Steins;Gate OVA.
It's going to have Okabe and Kurisu shenanigans, right?
I believe so. Hype. Hype. Hype.

And animation is the least important? That is what I'm disagreeing with, here.
WHERE IS THE TEACHER ARC!?
Now he's forever alone in the friendzone. Muahahahaha.
K-ON!/!! is better than the Azumanga for the virtue of having better animation, direction, art etc.

K-on isn't a comedy.
The animation in Azumanga is fine, it's the art direction and coloring that are problematic.
Now he's forever alone in the hypezone. Muahahahaha.
They are both based on 4komas and are technically slice-of-life though!K-on isn't a comedy.
I must have low standards.

fixed
Slice of life anime is boring. I much prefer slice off lives anime.

Well Azumanga Daioh...iiiiis pretty shitty, troll or no troll. Not for being racist though...
dokuro-chan owns but punie-chan is better

Sacred cow my son, sacred cow.
dokuro-chan owns but punie-chan is better
slice off, not bludgeon!
Lyrical Tokarev, kill them all!Piru piru piru piru pipirupiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
The original Azumanga 4koma is far better than K-on's.
Supposedly, the first episode of the re-air skims through the first-cour.
Satire is often done poorly, his segment about Azumanga Daioh clearly illustrates that he has difficulties writing cleverly about such matters.
When I want to express my sincere opinion about a work I will forgo sarcasm to ensure that my point is clearly understood because I imagine that if I drop a few sarcastic remarks here and then my point will probably get misconstrued. Actually, I know that for certain because it's happened several times already.
I understand that my prose is too poor for the casual reader of this thread to deduce the intent of my point when I'm being overly sarcastic. What I'm trying to say is, I'm sorry cosmic![]()
I've been craving anime lately (I haven't watched any in years), but I'm overwhelmed with choice. Can anyone supply me with recommendations based on this brief list of what I can remember enjoying over the years? Here it is:
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Cowboy Bebop
Fullmetal Alchemist
FLCL
I've recently started watching Gurren Lagann (as I've liked Gainax's work in the past) and I'm not terribly impressed, though I'm only a few episodes in.
edit: Or to put it simply, what are the "seminal" works of the past ten years or so?
What a coincidence Nichijou picks up in the second half... then goes back to more misses than hits.
Oh, it wasn't that bad, though that content was probably handled better in the manga. Are you watching it subbed or dubbed?Planetes 3:
Just to jog your memories this is the episode wherethey find a coffin in space and Tanabe decide to reenact Ender in Speaker for the Dead.
BAAAAAAAAAAAARF.
Ugh, that was horrible.
Whoa, don't be editing yourself for me. Your prose is fine. I'm just dumb.
Documented, straight from the horse's mouth, forever!
be sure to watch the four 1-minute shorts as they take the messed up nature of the show to a whole new levelOk, I will fess up and tell you i've not seen this.
I will strive to remedy this problem as soon as humanly possible because this just looks amazing!
Speaking of Bones disappointments, it's come to my attention that Towa no Quon will show in its entirety on WOWOW in a couple of days time.
I didn't make it past the first episode, I don't know if it's even worth trying to watch the rest.
Subbed.Oh, it wasn't that bad, though that content was probably handled better in the manga. Are you watching it subbed or dubbed?
the next episode is the lowest point of the entire show. it's nothing but up after that!Planetes 5:
This show tries so hard to drive me away.
You might just want to ditch the anime and read the manga instead. The manga is only four volumes long, so the anime has a lot of filler. I personally liked most of it, but you don't seem to be enjoying it.What's even more boring is Electric Countermeasures.
And don't even get me started on Electric Counter Countermeasures.

My god you weren't kidding.the next episode is the lowest point of the entire show. it's nothing but up after that!
