It was show-killing for me, but I think I'm the only one who actually dropped the show over frustration with all that business. So YMMV I guess?
Currently I say it isn't. But certainly its possible it will reappear and ruin part two.
it wasn't great before that stuff happened, but amnesia ghost shoveled the dirt into that grave.

I was just about to sit down and watch EP1 of Golden Time. I guess I won't bother.

Amnesia and ghosts. It's like a tag-team of horrible anime cliches.
I don't really care all that much about it beyond its role in the narrative itself which is... kind of substantial I guess? I can't say for sure, we still have the second half of the show to go.

Well, I never saw a synopsis with ghosts mentioned. Certainly the amnesia, but I'm fine with amnesia. Plus we have the Toradora cred.
Not that I think its horrible. Hell its in my top 10. It and Log Horizon were really the only things this season where the week between episodes was painful.

Doesn't bother me at all. I prefer Koko, but Linda is great too. Looking forward to where it goes.
even though that stuff winds up becoming core to the plot it doesn't show up for a few episodes.

Alright. It sounded like people ITT don't like the show because of some ghost plot, but the synopsis mentioned right away there would be ghosts. Hence my confusion.
Surprised to see the love come out of the woodwork for it. I loved it, but it was definitely a hit or miss anime for a lot of people.

My problem wasn't really the ghost itself (although I didn't read the synopsis before starting and it is pretty dumb), but it's sort of symptomatic of my larger problem with the show. I found it legitimately frustrating to watch, because I felt like they'd consistently draw me in with a good episode or two and then throw out a really stupid plot twist or drama and just sour me on the whole thing. Then next episode and the cycle repeats.
Plenty of other people are still enjoying it though, so you should still give it a go if you're interested!

haha I made the thread just because I loved it so much. Doesn't hurt to try an episode out to see if you like it or not. That's what I do whenever something interests me.

Just keep in mind that it's a love it or hate it series.
I personally, like it, which I reconfirmed to myself when I rewatched it a couple months ago.
I don't have any problems with Polar Bear Cafe, but before I hit the 10 ep mark I kinda felt "Well, this is cute, but not really all that funny to me, and I don't think it's what I am looking for at the moment."
