Ha ha, he made his own anime, brilliant! ED was swell stuff too. More entertaining than I figured it would be, CG and all. Perfect length.
Honestly I feel like this kind of series would get very stale very fast if there were longer episodes. It all takes place in this one setting, right? I wouldn't want to sit through a half-hour of that.

Bleh, next two episodes are good stuff at least. Afterwards YMMV. Thick eyebrows will appear.
I was thinking something more like Muromi-san so at least they can go through 2 chapters per episode. In the later chapters they do have adventures outside of the classroom though I don't think they will ever get there.

Kind of on the fence with this one, I really like the animation and the music, the character s are a bit bland now but what is killing it for me is the comedy spots are completely undercutting the serious tones. I'll give it the four episode run before a final choice is made.

I loved Bebop when I first saw it. Maybe they were different times when the US anime market wasn't so saturated and people were less picky.

Following on from my previous escapades; after talking to the guys on facebook (yes, facebook) I got the credits to buy the HI HD (1080p) DTO Version of Space*Dandy 1 and it's a far better encode. (But not after buying the Sub accidently because their website is a SNES Era translation horror house that kills my inner web designer and having to get another set of credits)

Had to watch this since everybody else was praising it, and praise-worthy it is indeed. The two leads have fantastic chemistry, and I especially love the male lead. Such a badass clown.
As the the OP/ED, I gotta say that I still like Space Dandy's OP more, but the ED for this is amazing. Can't wait for the next episode.

I do hope with 26 episodes that they don't die every episode. "The End" gag will only work once before it gets old, and that'd be pretty restricting for the writers, which goes against the series' reason for being. I rather suspect it'll be a one-time thing, but we'll see.

I don't remember a lot of each episode specifics in CB, but this one is of the exceptions. Great episode.

Yamato 2199, anything bad I said about your CGI, all is forgiven after seeing the shitpiles this show is foisting upon my eyes. Yea, not really feeling this one at the moment, it seems to have the elements of a great show but is distilled into a surprisingly dull affair. I suppose it is not help that my knowledge of the Sengoku era is limited, but this seems like that should not matter. Still, it seems the creators knowledge of Western history is about as strong. Overall, this is giving me Samurai Seven vibes and I do not like that, but I will give it the usual amount of episodes before dropping it.

I liked it, it entertained me enough for me to want to keep watching. The comedy is definitely a good highlight for me and the action was pretty great too. I'm liking the two characters we see so far and none of them annoy me yet which is a good plus for me.

I didn't think this could be so amazing and I couldn't be more happier about it.
Great OP and ED. So much KanaHana goodness. The music goes great with this, definitely adds a new level to this series.

It was awesome. And wall to wall HanaKana made it even more awesome.
Even now I'm calling it best best short series since I started watching anime.

this was kinda hilariously bad and mostly ugly. the award for the worst character designs of year definitely is already won. I didn't like anything about this so far....

I think this looks pretty nice and overall quite a bit of details everywhere with nice moody lighting. What doesn't look good is the monsters, they look pretty generic bad.
I'm not sure what to think of Hiyori yet, she can be both likeable and annoying at the same time... some part of this episode kinda reminded me of kanata no kyoukai, she's not a clumsy moeblob though.
I guess it could be fun later, this episode was very mildly lewd too.
Whatever, what matters the most here is that EVERYONE wears scarves and they all look nice, if you like scarves you should watch this because it has scarves and I'm watching this for now because it has SCARVES.

So another episode of Kasuga dealing with all sorts of shit, and some really disturbing moments and a general sense of awkwardness, I can deal with this and then oh my god, what just happened at the halfway mark? I think I need an adult.
That whole sequence was one of the most shocking and disturbing scenes I've seen in quite some time.
The end of this episode was also further proof in general that middle school students are the worst human beings in the world.
More than a few bad memories of my own middle school experience were cropping up there.

There are so many other moments from this episode that I could also sing the praises of. It was just a genuinely excellent level all around in the direction and story departments, and that's to say nothing of the excellent art. I feel like I'm just kind of rambling on, but there's just so much to appreciate about this whole episode, and I still feel like I've only just barely scratched the surface of it.

Seriously, that whole scene was so disturbing, and it was directed so perfectly. Seeing Kasuga's clothes get torn off was just completely shocking; I almost thought he was going to get raped there. The end result was perhaps effectively just as traumatizing for him, though. There's a complete sense of powerlessness for him there, and he's being violated both emotionally and physically with the gym clothes being forced on him.
The end of this episode was also further proof in general that middle school students are the worst human beings in the world.
Seriously, fuck all of that pack bullshit and the way that anyone who sticks out gets targeted immediately and made fun of for any little thing.
One of the more effective moments of the episode for me, even if it wasn't as flashy or shocking as others, was the moment when
the story transitioned from Kasuga and Nakamura together to him getting yelled at by his mother for being out so late. It happens so quickly that it really took me by surprise, but I found it to be one of the better directing choices of the episode, because it winds up surprising the viewer and creating that experience of suddenly being yelled at for you at home.
Eh, it is not over the top enough for me to enjoy it on that scale.

This is the proper way to make me enjoy ridiculous anime. But it's one episode in. I'll see how it goes.
