It's my own rule and I like to abide by it. I passed up too many good animes because I didn't like the first and/or second episode. So now that's my Three Episodes Rule (TER). I figure if I am not getting into it by the third episode then I am just wasting my time. So far this rule hasn't failed me once.
The only exception to this rule was Excel Saga. I somehow made it to episode 2 but at that point it was either my sanity or keep watching. I chose to keep at least some of my sanity.
how dare you post so many images you terrible person </hypocrisymax>
(There is no such thing as too many images of Kon =D Also lol at that question being almost immediately followed by that post from Hito XD)
Heartcatch Precure! 13
Episode of revelations! Turns out
Yuri-san
is actually CURE MOONLIGHT! omg I had no idea.
I would say she's pretty badass, fighting the forces of darkness in her civilian form like that, but uh, then the Mysterious Flowerstorm Man appeared and made her attempts at badass look like child's play. Seriously who is this guy and how is he so fabulous. After the talk at the beginning of this episode I'm inclined to suspect he's
Yuri's missing father
, though I would have thought she might have recognised him if that were the case (admittedly I'm not sure she got a decent look at his face).
Also our protags continue to be completely outmatched by the Dark Precure and need to have their asses saved again, this time by
the series Big Bad
of all people. "Lucky" ain't the half of it. These girls could really do with some kind of powerup one of these days >.>
A sweet episode to end an amazing series, definately the best series I've seen so far with the two best episodes for comedy and drama.
Fami is a cat strange girl
who came from the future (a bit like Doraemon)
and knows Doremi for some reason. Throughout the episode they ease you into the backstory of Fami by showing her little quirks in her personality trying to make you guess Fami's relation to Doremi.
The best part of course was when we find it all out.
When Fami in tears hugs Doremi while saying "grandma". It became increasingly obvious but it was great to see that happen and of course handled in a great way.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is Fami voiced by Kumiko Watanabe? She sounded just like Keroro at times so I was wondering.
On to Dokkaan now to find out what that episode preview at the end of Motto was all about.
I should probably watch the movie again myself. As much as I like it, it probably isn't my favourite arc... but still, it's perfect at what it tries to do.
Orphen ends with his former girlfriend Azaly getting her body back and being pregnant with Childman. As in Childman, the dude who was her teacher and her lover. Is a fetus. In her belly. She isn't pregnant with his child. She's pregnant with him.

After all the Gravity hype by firehawk, if it doesn't blow me away (both figuratively and literally) and do my taxes I'll be disappointed. Same with Wolf Children which I'm watching this weekend.
This anime just knows everything I want. Hot bath episode before, then now beach episode, and what a fantastic beach episode it was, even some good ole brolove and friendships.
Theo sticking around too was hilarious, he and Nice need to be around more, the whole conversation about his aura and then Theo just being stuck thinking about it though kind of ignored.
For the serious plot
seems things will take off, winced a bit when Nice was like he would pick up a souvenir for Art, since Art is already dead

Final Sadaharu episode. A shock considering how little attention he really got over time. And oddly enough, reduced the Odd Jobs to their lowest point I've ever seen.
Eating dog food really?
....16 days. 16 days watching Gintama. That's quite a lot of time. And I can't say it was wasted, because I enjoyed the 16 days spent on watching Gintama.
It has a rather expansive cast list, and makes a lot of call backs to characters when it's necessary for them to come out. As for this short season, it was pretty much focused on story arcs, in a way, to say "hey, sorry if you weren't fond of multiple not-arc episodes"
and if you weren't fond, there's a problem
.
This also gave me more fondness of Sugita's work. Good lord, he played a great Gin. Loved the range of his voice and how it was utilized. Enjoyed when a lot of characters gained quirks to stand out. Although, in regards to Shinpachi-is-the-glasses quirk, I feel like I've seen it somewhere before... I can't put my finger on it though. It feels like something I was watching not too long ago.
...anyway, I would like to thank AnimeGAF, for building me up to take on this behemoth, as well as steering me in the way through recommendations and peer pressure. I thank you, Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart, for making me unlock my drive as Cure Marathon, and the constant tempering of being able to take on shows I set my sights on.
In some ways... I need a break... a refresher of sorts before the next big wave. What it'll be.... who knows... there's already candidates lined up.
You have 2 movies to watch .. the second is an instant recomendation.
This was a wild and enjoyable ride wasn't it ? Now you're welcome to join the waiting club for more gintama.

Part of me wants to do reading... then again, after the movies... and any other catch up, I feel like going on a small break.... it's rather unfortunate that there's only 3 days left in this month.
The collaboration in this week's Wooder was hilarious, even though I wasn't familiar with the source material. And the ED is still the best of the season.
Very nice; Konomi Suzuki is singing the OP for No Game No Life. Looking forward to another song from her. Ai Kayano gets the ED, singing as her character Shiro.

It has its moments, but it's not doing a great job of balancing antics and drama. For such an ostensibly wacky show, it doesn't have nearly enough time to experiment and play with its own cast because its time is split between hijinx and moving a narrative forward that is hard to become deeply invested in. I think that it would be a much more entertaining show if it had avoided the supernatural element altogether to become a story of two comically incompetent and delusional secret organizations locked in struggle with each other a la Excel Saga. The two-part Treasure Club arc was uncomfortably LN-like in content and the narrative is unfortunately reaching the point of no return as escalating tensions slowly squeeze the fun out of events, so my enthusiasm for this show is quickly declining.
Wizard Barristers 4-7
I'm never watching another Umetsu show ever again. More on episode seven in particular later, but this is bad in ways that I didn't even know were possible for a legal procedural.
