When I thought I was enjoying Cowboy Bebop or Fate Zero, I looked at myself in the mirror and realized I wasn't enjoying myself with those shows. I was enjoying myself at them.

I didn't mind Hanekawa until the first arc of Monogatari S2. She was insufferable as the POV character.
Thankfully she goes away until she has Kaiki around to carry things.

I was going to make a comment about how there aren't any characters for Shiki in that definition, but then I realized that it's hard to pick a worst character when they're all terrible.

So people said that this has some more normal relationships unlike a lot of other anime bullshit. First episode isn't exactly showing that what with Koko's crazyness but I guess it's too early to judge. I like how the protag questions whether the pink haired chick should be in college when he looks way too young as well, actually a good majority of those people look too young but maybe it's just the art style.
On that though, Kaga Koko. What an unfortunate name, jesus. I think Corvo might be the only one to get that but yeah.
Anyway, at least the name was redeemed with Linda later on.
Finally, protag better join that samba club. Everybody knows that's where it's at man. "Latin Music" club my ass, shit was practically the sambodromo in Rio man.

I've been catching up on One Piece and I just started episode 604. Does anyone have thoughts on the slow-motion footage at the beginning of the episode? I personally never noticed that put that much effort into each frame to make high-action scenes look so smooth when played back in real-time. Did they do it specifically for that sequence or do I just take good animation for granted?

Just finished Monogatari SS myself. Really enjoyed SS. During Nisemongatari I almost stopped after the toothbrush episode but I endured. I'm glad I did because SS was pretty good all around. Kaiki's story arc was probably the most interesting.

Yeah, the machine is a lathe and it's pretty close to the original, the only error is in the animation, because a lathe rotates the workpiece on its axis, not the other way around. The calendar should be the one spinning.

Aside from Fate/Zero, I think this is one of the Fate/series that more people like than not. I believe I've heard manga people say that 2wei really cranks it up beyond the first season, though I might be mistaken.
Fun fact: somebody at Kadokawa fucked up and, about a half hour before the reveal, accidentally posted a "there's an update coming soon" Twitter message to the official Date A Live account instead of the Illya one.
