Isn't Legend of the Overfiend porn?

I have no idea, it was on Sci-Fi when I was younger... Probably was.

Ctrl+F "Sword of the Stranger"

What the fuck?

Added it! Looks good!

FandomSecret: add heavy object4

I suggest Guilty Crown. Trickster. M3. Glasslip. HandShakers.

Welp... Heavy Object looks awesome, I'll check out the rest.

Do you honestly think the UK's number one anime darling would be porn? Please.

Akira - it's a film, so an easy quick watch. Also an undiputed classic.
Cowboy Bebop
The Big O

Remove Another from the list. Ain't worth it.

I'll watch Akira next then :). I watched parts of Cowboy Bebop when I was younger but can't remember much and The Big O was so hard for me to find, I will eventually watch it because I love Batman.

I think I'll go with what Szadek said, it might be worth it to me since I like black comedy, but I might be thrown off it if the first few episodes are awful.

What kind of shows (genre) do you want to watch?

Action/Horror/Mindfuck/Mystery, I can do some comedy but it has to be in the vein of OPM or MP100 - I adore mecha stuff too but I'm trying to watch "other" things.

yeah it was fucking dope. i think i'm only going to episode-to-episode slice of life stuff, dramas or anything ongoing i just can't handle without marathoning i think.

watched the first two episodes by themselves and then set off on this wonderful adventure today in a rush after a hard week of study. was great

It reeally is a fantastic show, I absolutely love how the ultimate weapon that brings down everyone is
logic and reason.
Reigen steals the show so superbly.

Isn't Legend of the Overfiend porn?

Waiting for Godzilla vs Megalon to show up on Channel 4 as a 6 year old and had to sit through this to finish. What an EXPERIENCE!

As morbidly entertaining as Scum's Wish is, I do feel it has meandered a fair bit over the last 10 - 15 chapters. That it's supposedly ending in March is probably a good thing.

I just bothered to look up Sword of the Stranger for the first time and I was surprised to learn it was an actual anime.

I thought it was just a cool regular live action movie duckroll was raving about and now I want to watch it less. :(

kiritobread, do you just live in an anime

Just saw this and had to laugh. My life has been pretty "anime" lol, but they don't make much anime starring adults, so...

Here is a little spread of some really good shows from your list with a couple more thrown in.

Full Metal Alchemist; Brotherhood (action)
Gurren Lagann (action/mecha)
Heavy Object (action/mecha/mystery)
Future Diary (horror/action/mystery)
Elfen Lied (horror/action mystery/mindful(k)
Code Geass (mecha/action/mindful(k)
Fate/Zero (action)
Shiki (horror)
Ghost in the Shell (sci-fi/action)
Re;Zero (horror/action/mystery/mindful(k)

So which one of these do I start after Mob Psycho 100?

I'm really, REALLY behind in anime, most of the stuff I've seen from this season I don't think I'd like - can any of you prove that wrong?
Lots of good stuff in here.
I would say start with Death Note (very fun show, perfect gateway anime), Ghost in the Shell (starting with the first movie) and Steins;Gate.
Action/Horror/Mindfuck/Mystery, I can do some comedy but it has to be in the vein of OPM or MP100 - I adore mecha stuff too but I'm trying to watch "other" things.

You should definently add Serial Experiment Lain.
As for horror, I would suggest Mononoke (not to be confused the gibli film) and Higurashi.
For some more fun shows you can watch Code Geass and Trigun.

Since you seem to really like Neon Genesis Evangelion you might also enjoy Revolutionary Girl Utena and Madoka Magica.
Sweet, the new girl they hired loves anine & manga.

I almost hit the floor when she said Chobits was her fav.

On a side note, she tried to get me to watch Elfen Lied. Yup, this is gonna be fun. She also tried to get me to watch sone show about a girl that turns into a cat? No idea what she was talking about..

Oh and sbe loved Full Moon wo Sagashite and Clannad..
I recommand that you marry her asap, just be careful until you know her stands on SAO.

Well, I'm already spoken for and she's like a college kid, so yeah, nope, I won't be looking her way like that, lol.

Did I watch the right Re: Zero?

I'm sure you did...

Who the fuck suggests watching Elfen Lied?

Elfen Lied is the definition of mindfu(k, so it fits in this case.....

Not that I'd go through that again, but it was on his list already...

Now the girl last night? I think she was trying to troll me, lol. denied.

Take her troll and suggest School Days.

I need a workplace waifu.

Then my life can really be anime.

I got two of them now, lol.

Neither of them is really "my type" but it's pretty cool to be able to talk about something at work. (although, I prefer to stock shelves and try to consume as much anime as possible between customers, lol)

For examples of strong anime CG, I like to point to the Go Princess Precure movie. Toei's CG department has some great people working there. I'm also fond of the work Buemon did for the Kaze no Matasaburou short film from 2016 Anime Tamago, especially since it focuses on subdued character animation, which tends to be a weak point for a lot of CG animation. They hit on a really strong art style. For integration of CG with 2D animation, in addition to the work done by KyoAni generally and Xebec/Orange on Fafner Exodus, I am also rather fond of how Tatsuya Oishi at Shaft has been handling the Kizumonogatari movies.
Hmm... Maybe I need to watch this on a large screen but initially it really turns me off. It's almost like... An uncanny valley? I can appreciate the artistry behind it but it looks strange to me. Something like the below works better for me, even if the CG isn't as technically competent. It might have something to do with the chibi proportions.

This looks really good, to me. Is it just the one scene or is the whole show like this?

:lol

One of my favorites, to be sure.

the Girls Und Panzer series came to my mind. There were some scenes in the movie that was breathtaking to look at, and it wouldn't have been possible without the usage of 3DCG.

I'll take a look at this once I get to work. Thanks for the link.

I felt Kuromukuro does a pretty good job of it, though it pretty clearly separates the 2D animation and 3D action scenes, so I'm not sure if that's exactly what you mean. There's also, I believe, a segment of Me!Me!Me! that switches to 3D for a bit and it looks pretty good.

I really liked Kuromukoro for what it was, but I thought that the mechs were really lacking. It worked in faster paced scenes, but really fell flat when there wasn't a lot of action going on...

The 2D stuff was gorgeous, though.

Please AVOID the rest of his list.

Or watch it and figure out for yourself how DTL's taste works.
He is a joke/troll account and nearly everything he recommends to watch is dumpster fire trash.
