Well Eupho is one of the best looking shows ever made and K-ON is more or less it's predecessor so that's fine. Phantom World looks better but even as someone only half way through K-ON the only thing PW has over it are the visuals.

Kobayashi and the Dragons 5
This show keeps getting better, every storyline just works so well. Tohru going to see Kobayashi work was great, and it honestly made me appreciate their relationship a whole lot more. Then the little Kanna school interludes were as good as ever, and Fafnir coming back to our world to basically just play games. I was a little worried this would just be a slight step above Myriad Colors but that seemingly is not the case.

I too find that offensive. Lucky Star at least has some funny gags. Big Bang Theory is any sitcom with a layer of nerd paint on top.

When I started watching anime again, I went shows in a huge bunch, so I could see a lot of the references that Lucky Star was making. Like I still remember them making a random Marimite reference, for no real reason other than Marimite was probably popular at the time.

(Doubly funny now because the whole "Class S" all girls richie rich school trope has all but disappeared in the years since then)

Also even if short in length, Akiba's trip fight animation have this uniqueness to them that make them so awesome! Big 10/10

Wow RetributionShipping is real. I still support Kingcrabshipping and Treasonshipping, but this, this was really good because they just made Carly and Jack's relationship throughout many episodes so entertaining and emotional. I wish he was that way with Yusei, but well I guess that would defy the type of anime this.So great seeing a emotional and passionate Jack that changed from his days as Team Satisfaction.

Gotta say, behind every cutesy or funny bit that we get in this show we also get quite a few emotional ones as well. KyoAni knows when to make use of those little, very human movements with the eyes and body on the characters that just have this beauty to them. This show doesn't really use this type of animation all the time (this is more stylized, not like Hyouka or Eupho), but when it does, it just works very well.

I'm still annoyed that no one can license Hyoka because Kadokawa are greedy bastards. It will happen eventually but when you get useless stuff like Tamako Market instead... just makes me sad.

I still think it will be licensed eventually, but you have to keep in mind that not all of KyoAni's work has their international rights owned by one company. Kadokawa does have a lot of it (Lucky Star, Haruhi, Nichijou, and possibly Hyouka), but so does TBS (K-ON, Chuunibyou, Tamako Market), and Free's international rights are held by ABC Asahi. Tamako Market coming over here doesn't mean that Sentai passed up Hyouka in favor of it.
