So I've been doing quite a bit of binging lately. When I went home for the holidays, my mom gave me a Roku for Christmas so I've been making the most out of it when I'm off from work.

Whenever I hear the words "Light-Novel Adaptation" I preemptively cringe. A lot of what has been adapted in the recent years have been some of my least favorite anime, but I heard raving reviews for this specific series. I saw that it was dubbed by Funimation so I decided to give it a crack. This shit was funny as hell. Maybe it's because I'm at that sweet spot with my age where I now know the tedium of making just enough to get by but these character's lives really hit home. And I can't fault a character who's evil ambition to conquer the world revolves around climbing the corporate ladder at McDonalds.

Good to see a space anime that doesn't rely on mechas.

Don't make my mistake. Stop and watch Legend of Galactic Heroes instead, particularly because - and I don't think this is a spoiler - the anime doesn't end at all.

That said, it was kind of hilarious to watch what amounted to Firefly + medieval court drama (complete with stupid outfits) in spaaaaaace.
