Honestly, I expected Sasayama to be something more... I don't know... less dickish. How Kogami described him and what I thought of him was completely different from what I got. Pretty disappointing actually.

OP sucked and they DTL-ised the ED, great start.
Then the whole episode was going into the backstory of a character that's been sidelined up until now, I'm hoping this puts Yayoi's backstory into the background from now on, but given Psycho Pass' record so far, we'll probably get an arc involving her and layering even more backstory with the upcoming criminal.
It's a shame this show can't blend giving charcters backstory while moving things along, that's the weakest aspect of the show that's bringing it down.

Hm, this was a weird episode. Didn't stand out in the funny department but at the same time wasn't completely boring. Stuff happened, there were some jokes I almost laughed but didn't. Feels really middle of the road here.

It kinda works as a DQ1 parody. Plus it's only 4 minutes long, and of these 4 minutes, 1 is the ED. It passes!
Though, hopefully there will be less screaming in the next episodes.

I was expecting some bad-ass Shinya/Sasayama buddy cops storyline, instead i got the backstory of the most useless character of the bunch. Meh. Hopefully the next episode will be better! Maybe. Maybe not.

Well I think that ultimately the previous episodes actually had the better fights, always one for human or human v humanoid (four tailed fox clone is humanoid, imo) are way more interesting that human v giants and what not. However the episode did have the awesome and epic Rasenshurikan (one of the ten best jutsus) and even more, though it fit in awkward with canon

The other developments were nice
I hope they plan to do more of these type of random specials again as this was really a blast and pretty memorable and at times really visually stunning.

the near nine tailed chakra mode part when he was all powering up shirt all open and etc was phenomenal especially his skill in it. They even had the best song on the ost playing making it feel all awesome and such. Its just hard to describe but its those key moments that make me really enjoy seeing Naruto be all cool and like the ultimate payoff for every arc

So... I didn't watch episodes 10-12 cuz I heard it was shit, it was really slow and nothing really happened so I can just wiki-read it. I didn't even bother to wiki-read that. If anything, episode 13 is a testament to how shitty episodes 10-12 are. I mean... they summarized what happened in those episodes in less than 10 minutes in an actual coherent manner. Meh. So... yeah. This episode sort of sucked.
However, not all is bad. The whole focus on Mahiro was nice and it was a very good way to do it considering what happens at the end. The music is still phenomenal and while the infodump is... well... infodumpy, it was nice to know what happened after all of that. The next episode looks to be promising and interesting but that's about it. Also, ponytail, swordless Samon >>>>>>>>> Cour 1 Samon.

Shaft is no worse than any other studio. At least they use style to hide production deficiencies. they do Cute very well. They always have interesting subject matter and bring characters to life well. Shaft is JOY.

- Premise is decent as the Wounded Man and his shipwright wench make it back to the USA and establish themselves as a football star and a super model to attract the attention of GPX, the porn company he's out to have his revenge against.
- Lots of violence
- Zero rapes
- Wounded Man gets revenge on one girl that worked for GPX by doing something to her that makes her uncontrollaby aroused when not around him so she can't have him killed.
- Badass knifefight where the
shipwright wench sacrifices herself to save the Wounded Man. She's glad because she finally be in that place in his heart where the previous two dead girls that saved him are.
- Kickass soundtrack
- Women are surprisingly hot, clothed or otherwise, due to an art upgrade.
- Awesome cliffhanger ending
- Wounded Man looks to be out for even more coldblooded revenge!

I also didn't mention this but out of all the transformations so far I really love this frame the most. Love her design! Also for the ship watch, let it be known I maintain my position of Cure Happy x Cure Sunny but now I am accepting of a love triangle scenario.
After having watched 4/5 introduction episodes I have to say I've begun to tire of this already. It feels forced and bland trying get all the introductions out of the way but not doing it in an interesting way at all. I just can't help comparing it to HeartCatch and how organic it was in the same thing. Another piece of nag is in the transformation sequences. They seem to have the cure decor to transform. It's not in the compact so where did it come from, it literally doesn't exist till it goes in the compact. Shit makes no sense. They also seem to have everything figured out from the start like their names and catchphrases. In HeartCatch they did all this much better. All nagging aside, let's talk about the actual episode. Cure March is super OP

At least they got most of the DRAMA out of the way. Or you know, we'll get even more DRAMA. I guess now that it is there, they are free to shove it into this show whenever they run out of comedy, need some mid-season suspense or some sort of ending to this show. Oh boy, can't wait for the DRAMA again.
Ok, I would at least give points to the show for the nice art style between the DRAMA and the not-DRAMA parts. The whole transition was nicely done too, at least was pretty cool to see that. They should keep that whole color-coded balance for the rest of the show so I would know when it is DRAMA time and when it is not.

I love a good mood whiplash anime. Something that does a complete 180 from what I expected. A couple of shows have managed to do that lately. Its a great thing.

A lot of different people mentioned they found this first episode boring but personally I really liked this first episode and didn't feel that way at all.(The same went for K-On! and Hyouka).

I find the general :firehawk nature of KyoAni shows to be very pleasing. Very relaxing and unwinding to watch before bed!
