Shakugan no Shana II 13
Part one of the episode was a mess of action. Like a literal mess. Jumping back and forth between characters and battle, things just flying everywhere, a literal mess but still the most exciting thing in this show for the past 12 episodes.
Part two was like the last 12 episodes just with an infodump tossed upon it.

I know sweating it out works for me, but I usually achieve that by running on the treadmill. I'm sure if you went at it for a while it'd be just as effective (and a lot more pleasurable too).

You know, I genuinely thought it was incredibly hard, nay, next to impossible to have the concept of "Girlfriend" constantly trolling childhood friend, without it being fully entertaining to watch.

Honestly, I hadn't realized how much I missed this show until just now.
I mean, sure, I never did bother finishing the first season once it turned its focus almost exlusively towards the Karuta and the training leaving pretty much everything else by the wayside.
I still don't care for the actual "sport" and I'm thinking my interest will wane again once it inevitably starts focusing too much on it but for now, if I can get more of the wonderful characterization and interaction that drew me in in the first place, I am more than happy to keep watching.
Of course it also helps that the show still looks and sounds absolutely gorgeous.

Why is the drama in this anime so unsatisfying ?
The daily life at sakuraso is golden .. but the drama kill my enjoyment of this anime.
And why the heck do you blank at a simple question. The question wasn't even hard .. all he had to do was to tell why he wanted to be a game designer.Not to blank like that because the guy asking the question is famous!
What a stupid plot twist !
But then again i guess the point is that you can't win from the start even if you work hard.

I randomly picked a show out of my backlog and this came up. I do remember hearing some complaints about the show back before Tsuritama aired, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway.
Solid first episode. I thought the scenes with Masakaki & Kimimaro had some great direction and were even a bit creepy thanks to the twisting of perspectives multiple times. I've already simmered down my expectations, so I hope I enjoy the rest of the show.
The ED was lovely. I enjoy sci-fi/abstract animation, and the song was pretty good.

I feel the same. They anime builds up great tension in the karuta matches, and makes them a lot of fun to watch.
Plus, just about every match in the series has had some great character moments in them.
