Skip the first two episodes, otherwise, I thought it was a worthwhile mech anime of sorts. Chobi was a useful component of Argos team and gave some comedy moments.
Is there a certain series where she shows up? Is it standalone or do I need to follow others in the series? She dresses up as a catgirl maid at some point and generally just looks like an adorable little badass. I have to see at least some of this.
Well he liked SAO, loves Sasuske who ranks top in the character polls for Naruto, loves Keyshit, and he's our only link to the Fujioshi market (Where the abandonned Kuroko no Basket doujin section was huge).
And the flashback arc continues. Though, it is less LOVE TRIANGLE DRAMA and more action so that isn't bad. Average action, but beggers can't be choosers.
Glad I could help. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to track this down. I never would have known of its existence or had the notion to watch it if you hadn't. Good luck finding a copy.
this is a bit of a suprise. not a total troll but there leaders were bullshiting some time back about "banning" any media with females "less" than a a cup. that got shot down fast...
I like shaft's design a lot too for Sasami-san. But yeah Tamako markets looks...well not very highschool girlish. It looks like something older and worn in town or something.
Dont know what peple were expecting them to get, oh well they still have Naruto SD going. Hopefully they are putting money towards getting Arata: The Legend for the Spring seaosn.
Speaking of Kawasumi Ayako, she plays the lead in the series I'm catching up on at the moment:
Queen's Blade Season 2 - "The Evil Eye"
So I've had a bunch of blind-bought QB BDs in my backlog for years now; kind of strange I didn't get to the rest of it earlier considering how much I liked the first season, but you know how backlogs are. With the AOTY 2012 voting deadline approaching, I wanted to catch up and see if 2012's Queen's Blade Rebellion was as disappointing as many QB fans seem to find it, so I picked up where I left off back in season 2.
While the first season was an adventure story, the second season is a tournament. The overall structure and story situations remind me of Fate/Zero. The winner becomes queen of the land, effectively granting them their every desire. Many of the combatants are good people with noble goals, but have no choice but to fight each other. Some are just selfish, and others are downright evil. Nefarious schemes and plots are going on in the background behind the fights, which are often not as "fair" as they're supposedly intended to be.
The officially sanctioned fights, while dangerous, aren't to the death per se, and people don't drop like flies like in Fate/Zero, but a variation on the "
characters not in the source material
are the ones who die" rule is in effect. More so than the first season, it's possible to take the whole thing completely seriously, but generally I think of the franchise as homage to campy American sword & sorcery movies of decades past. (On the QB radio show, Kawasumi Ayako and Noto Mamiko once commented that the series is "not so much moe as it is American-style sexy.")
Of course the biggest draw for me to the TV anime is Rinshin's beautiful character designs (she's also the animation director). She only did solo designs on the first season and was joined by Noguchi Takayuki on the second, but it's Rinshin that drew me in.
There's three different ending animations, animated by Urushihara Satoshi, and they're gorgeous. I wish I knew how to make animated GIFs from these BDs, because still images just don't do it justice. (Think Highschool DxD.) I wanted to link to the endings on Crunchyroll but it seems they only have season 1 and Rebellion, no season 2. Bummer.
Anyway I still have a few eps left, but it's been great so far, so I'm expecting a strong finale as well. After that, it's time for the OVAs.
Why does Queens Blade even exist? It makes me sad I'll admit, I thought it was hilarious when bunny girl was using her ear-hands to squirt acid milk... for like about five seconds till I realized my brain didn't like what my eyes was seeing. It wasn't that it was offensive (I can deal with offensive and certainly have watched raunchy shit) but seeing women squirting milk and pee while having the shit beat out of them just seemed like one step away from snuff porn. Not interested.
