What!? The tanks battles are probably my favourite part of the entire show, which is just as well, because they form the bulk of the episodes. And I thought they did a good job of keeping them interesting, and it's tanks, so I commend them for maintaining that.

By consensus and theoretically speaking; the short barreled Type 90 57mm tank gun of the Type 89 Medium Tank couldn't have possibly, even equipped with armor-piercing shells (AP), penetrate the approx. 50mm of solid steel angled at 5-degrees on the sides of the M4 Sherman. The Type 89 was a infantry combat vehicle and possibly the most inappropriate tank for this kind of 'panzerfahren' battle tournament thingy... and that is why, with their dedication even on the most difficult circumstances and with the most unfavorable equipment, the Team Duck is Team GUTS!
Or why do you think they rely so much on the PzKpfw IV Ausf. D & StuG III Ausf. F (a Tank Destroyer) as the "front-runners" of the formations?

She's kind of stupid, but given her character she's stupid in a way she's allowed to be. It only helps her character. Iori's probably one of the best things about the show.

Thanks a lot for this, I've just started comparing it to the manga the current episode am watching with some thunder god swordsman rich son arc/ep is very very different from it's manga counter part, lots of focus on the kid and minor filler characters.

This episode was fantastic. Quick question, does anyone have a gif of Kirito getting impaled by all of those swords? It was amazing. For such a pro gamer, Kirito really needs to work on his health management. Pop a health potion, bro, you can't DPS solo any other way. So it finally happened, Suguha finally confessed her cousincestual desires for Kirito.

While Suguha is correct that they aren't truly brother and sister, she doesn't seem to grasp that they are still cousins and the risk of birth defects are still quite high. Well, as long as Kirito remembers to pull out everything should be fine. I really don't give a shit about any of these people. This bullshit fan service romance plot is so contrived and heavy handed that I should feel incredibly insulted, but then I remember I'm watching Sword Art Online.

Decided to look into Hyouka and Tsuritama after seeing the large amount of praise that those two shows were receiving in the AOTY thread. I've only started Hyouka so far.

When people said this show had great production values, they weren't kidding. This is my first KyoAni show so I guess you could say it came as a surprise to see how great the animation actually is for what kind of show this seems to be on the surface.

The framing and art direction both stood out to me, especially in the first episode. I definitely haven't seen many shows, but I was certainly "wowed" by some of the visual tricks they did, like with the various stories told within these two episodes.
The dialogue and characters seem to be a step above the usual stuff even after just two episodes. I'm not entirely sure where it's going, but reading about how it's not truly about the mysteries as well as the show being quite the slow burn certainly have me interested. Or maybe I should say I'm very curious instead!

Enjoy. You will be surprised at how consistent the production values are.
Bingo. Biggest problem with this show is that its hard to give a damn about anyone in it so I didnt care what happened anyway. (except Silica and Lisbeth. I totally gave a damn about them, and I kind of liked Klein's character too :/)
As for the others, if they disappeared they would just be replaced by another cardboard cutout. nobody would care.

i really don't understand why you guys are so focused on lizbeth and silica . they're not bad characters but i don't get why you're all focused on those charactes. what did they do to deserve this praise ?

So Kirito really just leaves Suguha hanging? He still hasn't come back to the real world so he can't decide whether or not he wants an incestual relationship yet? What a non-committal bastard. He's just stalling for time! Lots of really shitty CG battling going on this episode, worse than any I've seen prior in the series. I couldn't even tell what was going on for a lot of it.
Silica is total fan service/tentacle bait and Lisbeth was just an excuse for an early love triangle that lasted less than an episode. Klein is the only one I ever want to see again. EVER! But I don't really want to see him that much either.

Luckily cat loli and big boob lady arrived just in time to help deus ex machina their way through the unidentifiable mass and and Kirito was able to use his full dual wielding potential, which he wasn't using for some reason up until now.

Bah monday morning, 1:35pm is alright. Amnesia the last anime I need streamed.
They have a personality of some kind, even if it was a small minor one.
They at least felt more like real people.
