Food and tears go hand-in-hand.

Didn't find the interest to watch this series again for a while, but on again now.
This episode was essentially "The little Mayu that couldn't". It was alright and kind of cute.

Hataraki Man 6

Oh look. The episode starts with a misogynist that's even more of a cartoon and simplified than even Fumiya. Eh. It's an ineffective showing on all marks.

Now what's actually worth discussing in this episode is the angle is a female who doesn't mind using her wiles to get forward in the job (the role played through Yumi). Not unlike past episodes, it's a situation I'm not unfamiliar with in anime, but works differently with the setting of a simple news office.

The ideal works different seeing it explained in an office building (especially in contrast to the protagonist, Hiroko) than it does from a female assassin, undercover cop. It's familiar, but different and I like that. In terms of morality, it's a non-issue. I don't care what this girl does with her life. However, the perspective being picked up at all was positively notable! There's also Hiroko trying to deal with such a character as their clashing views affect the fluency of her work. It's a battle of "Standing firm" or adapting to agreeable stereotypes in order to get the upper-hand on the workload and competition.

This was yet another solid episode overall.

I don't know. There's hardly any fanart for Candy Boy out there, and hardly any of the little there is is explicit.

I mean, not that I've looked or anything.

No, you're right ( i've looked ).

The amount of stuff on candy boy is very tiny.

Considering the Theme and the release format of this anime , that is a testament that there wasn't much for doujins when everything's this explicit.

GAINAX, you magnificent trolls. That was almost Ikuhara-levels of recap awesomeness (even though it wasn't really a recap).
Marie > Sanson and Hanson > Jean 1 > Nadia 2 > Jean 2 > Nadia 1

Island arc verdict: Not as bad as people make it out to be.

Its most egregious sin is cutting the tempo after the amazing run of episodes right before it, but it's not unwatchable by any means. While I can understand the frustration this run might have risen during its original broadcast, on its own it never goes beyond a very inconsistent roller-coaster of quality. Some episodes are godawful, but others are fine time-wasters. I'd even label some stuff like King vs King as total fun romp despite its complete irrelevance to the plot.

Should you skip it? Probably. I have to admit maybe watching so many magical girl series and who knows how many shounen has conditioned me for this type of abrupt interlude, but it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. That said, there was enough character development, particularly in the realm of Jean and Nadia, that I don't think the entire arc is completely useless. Call it looking at the glass half-full, if you want.

Saikou No Rikon 1-3
"It's suffering. Anyway... marriage is a long-term torture". These are words uttered by Hamasaki Mitsuo, while at the dental clinic. He is a salaryman, working with a vending machine company. His career is not going smoothly, his health is failing, everything is tough-going for him. Most of all, the thing that causes him the greatest suffering, is his wife, Yuka. Married for over two years, he is not sure if he loves his wife, but one thing is for sure, they do not seem to be compatible in anything.
One day, he bumps into his ex-girlfriend, Akari, with whom he had lived together for a short time and who has since married another man, Uehara Ryo...
This drama explores the complex issue surrounding marriage nowadays. It especially focuses on the people from the 30's age group, which is referred to as the "confused age". Sandwiched between the "senpais" who cannot seem to get married, and the "kouhais" that are not interested in getting married, the thirty-somethings are said to represent the current state of confusion over marriage in Japan. By depicting their immatured attitude on marriage, this light-hearted drama hopes to shed light on 「What is marriage?」 and 「What is family?」
Dunno what to say except it's the best drama of the season imo. It's fantastic.
Everything is just perfect. The characters interactions are great, the whole cast is great. It's light-hearted, yet dealing with genuine problems. It's hilarious, Eita is such a good actor, gosh, I fucking love his character.
He's kind of socially awkward, it feels like he doesn't belong to the same world as the other characters...
The third episode might be my favorite so far. A dude compared his life to Tetris, they talked about the band Judy and Mary, there were scenes about Facebook which were hilarious. Hamasaki doing a thumbs up while hitting the "like" button... *dead* I literally laughed out loud. It was brief but that's moments like this that make this drama so fun. And the Uehara couple is hawt.

The credits are as good as the show : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbDA-x9Urx8

Kissxsis OVA 08

surprised this is still going on, why isn't it just porno yet?

I was under the impression that they use the OVA to show things they can't on Tv ..so yeah almost borderline to make the maximum money.

At least this is better now that they are following everything full stop in "that" direction rather than the boring Tv show .

( yes the tv show was boring .. heck even the MC father is telling him to do it , so just do it ! )

Whenever I read light novel translations I feel the urge to edit the entire thing into something readable

This happened with haruhi. I think I actually have a few edits lying around on some crappy webpage somewhere

By the way, re a few pages back

I'm guessing that once again, the connection here is same LN publisher/imprint. As opposed to the Holo standee, which was probably just Brain's Base's little joke.
