Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
I read almost every posts in the anime threads. Even though I don't post much, I try to read everything unless it's about a show I dislike. Sometimes it takes so long to catch up that there will be two or three more pages by the time I'm done.

Ah, youth. One day you'll realize only 10% of posts are worth reading and the rest is noise you can harmlessly filter out.

Much like anime.

Kotoura-san 03

This show is very enjoyable.
Kotoura is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Cute its kind of ridiculous. She rivals Tsumiki, and thats no small feat.
Also, Manabe has balls of steel. Dude is not a coward and thats super refreshing to see.

Mad Bull 34 is eighties awesome.
Code Geass is awesome.
Yami is boring bad, not good bad.
School Days is a genuinely good anime that every fan of literature should watch.

Maturity, bitches.
Isn't the Ghost Stories dub meant to be so bad it's good. That's why I have it on my to watch list.

Thankfully no, and I intend to keep it that way unless I ever make it my job, which it isn't.

I'm just a lowly casual watcher who likes fun things being fun.

Luckily, I don't think it pays. You can't go making a career out of it.

I know it's not very practical or necessary, but I end up doing it anyway. I spend way more time reading this thread than I do actually watching anime.

Tetsuwan Birdy: Decode S2 3 - 5

Still better than S1. The main plot is developing nicely, and we have more cyberpunk and sci-fi themes, along with more Birdy herself.

Shenanigans have been kept to a minimum for the most part, but the entire latter half of episode 5 focused on Senkawa actually occupying Birdy's body as her consciousness lay dormant, forcing him to play an idol, sign autographs, attend a photo shoot, be on some kind of TV show, and entertain his friends. He also played with Birdy's underpants and visited a spaceship.

Well okay... I'm sure we'll get back on track as there is much to discuss. However the plot (while an improvement) still seems paper thin. The audience already knows who did what, while the bad-guys ponder idly. It doesn't feel as though there is a lot of tension from the audience's point of view, but the show continues to be handled far better than it ever was.

How about Chuunibyou? Granted, it's not really bad compared to the lowest of the low, but its execution was oddly MUCH worse than what I (and many people) have come to expect of Kyoani. Not just in the colour and BG department, the show's animation was not as nuanced as Hyouka's yet not as sketchily fun as K-On!'s (or Tamako Market's), it came off as unpolished and suffered some drops towards the end.
I dropped it half way through the first episode, not because I though it looked rougher than some of their other shows (although it undoubtedly did) but because I had no interest in the characters or premise. Therefore I can't really speak to the show as a whole and I never paid close enough attention to the series to notice anyone complain about it from a production standpoint. However I will certainly take your word for it.

I'd put Blood C in the same category as Code Geass where the creators just went "fuck it" at the halfway point.

Shouldn't it be that because it originally wasn't meant to be a comedy put it in the bad-good category?

The creators of Blood-C knew exactly what they were doing from the moment it started.

Starting from about three episodes before the end of season 1, the writers of Code Geass decided that if Sunrise was gonna make them write another season, they may as well go balls out all the time.
