Futari Wa Precure Max Heart 05

Hikari becomes Shiny Luminous!
She is rather cute as a precure.
Now Porun has a match.
As the episode ends, the three Precures face the main villain. I guess this is a way to keep people watching. Futari Wa Precure never left off with cliffhangers in the middle of a battle. It always got resolved fairly quickly in one episode.

I know people like to fall in love with side characters because we see less of them, but in this case Azusa was masterfully crafted with care for all of us to enjoy. So just accept that she's the best in K-ON! under Sawako on the totem pole.

I dunno, for a show about tank battles and funny moments between the girls you can spoil visual gags and cool moments in the battle sequences with a JPEG. Besides, aren't the final two episodes all about the final battle? If I watched the show I wouldn't want anything about the outcome spoilt for me.

There's Psycho Pass and Ghost in the Shell, but neither extend beyond Earth to my knowledge.

Hikari has to go shopping for Akane's takiyaki store.
Seeing as she is largely useless on her own, Nagisa and Honoka accompany her. There is a new villain that just showed up at the evil mansion out of nowhere too.
This weeks monster if a giant octobeast!
The new villain corners hikari and notices that she is different from Nagisa and Honoka.
One thing I do like with a third Precure is now there is quite a bit more variety of attacks and possible combinations. That part is a bit more fun to watch. Still derpy though.
With that little minor distraction out the way, the group returns to Akanes store with the groceries. Yay!

Wah.. these are actually good episode, I can see the trainwreck's coming though. I always like the little thing in this show with building robot and slice-of-life VN feel, the PLOT PLOT PLOT stuff can go to hell because they're not in my interest. The showoff at expo make me smile, great stuff.. I can see that happening to me if witnessing good stuff like that at expo.

At least this confirm I'll like the game much more.

Ui is the better sister, and Jun steals the spot light in every scene she's in. I don't hate Azusa, but she's outclassed by all the other characters.

This is getting really good. I got a terrible sense of dread by the end of the episode, and I can only imagine things will only get worse in-universe.

I spent my weekend in a Prince of Tennis vortex. I know some people didn't like the unrealistic aspect of Kuroko no Basket but Prince of Tennis is on another level when it comes to that.

The problem with Kuroko is that the "unrealistic" aspect is boring. The players' techniques are not exciting at all.
In Prince Of Tennis and Eyeshield 21, everything is over-the-top and that's awesome (I don't like PoT that much but still).
Kuroko doesn't know if it wants to be realistic or silly, thus it's just uninteresting.

Having shitty and non-likeable characters doesn't help either. And focusing on a main duo in every team is terrible.

Nagisa's mother has to go to a Class reunion.
She leaves her alone with her little brother to take care of the house. This also means helping him with his homework. Naturally Nagisa is too dumb to do elementary school homework. she also has to cook something for dinner, so she sneaks out to go meet Honoka and address these issues. Because Honoka is, after all, superior in every way.
Honoka suggests she try to cook it herself and another heartiel appears. I will call this one SHOUNEN HAATO. Anyway as they walk home, a Zakenna forms from the baseball field nearby because the dark kingdom is full of assholes. Hikari shows up as the Precures are trapped, and unleashes yet another new attack. This show has more attacks in 7 episodes than all of futari Wa Precure combined.
So then when that it over Nagisa learns to cook. somewhat. Its still awful and Honoka is still superior. the end!

There are some things you need to go into completely blind, and Steins;Gate is absolutely one of them.

I await the look on your face in the next few episodes.

Cute is cute.
Also, there are several shows that have transsexual characters that I can think of. Shangri-La seems to treat it the most seriously of the ones I am aware of (although the character is still playful about their sexuality).

I feel the same way about good OP but I've come to dislike how in anime they're mostly used to sell people hit singles. I understand that money from those singles help keep anime alive but it doesn't mean I have to like how pervasive it is. That said I love how it lets studios flex their animation muscles. Funny enough though my favorite intro doesn't even do that, the flashes of text and the escalating noises in Bakemonogatari got me more excited for the show than the actual OP ever did. I guess I shouldn't complain since any OP is better than the death of them but I just want some variety from a parade of character shots set to catchy music.

Wait, why would the hype make you do that instead of wanting to watch more of the show as soon as possible or even marathoning it? I've only spoiled myself on a show or movie's wiki plot summary when I didn't care enough to actually watch the thing so the opposite seems kind of backwards to me.

It's rather a shame that those two series didn't click for you, as they count among my favourites of the last year, but in the unlikely event you haven't seen it, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann sounds rather up your alley.

I can't think of anything in Shangri-La that takes its transsexual characters seriously - obviously we'll have to disagree but I thought Momoko was a ridiculous stereotype. But you've seen the whole series whereas I only watched a few episodes so it's possible the overall treatment of the transsexual characters was less "played for laughs" than the stuff I thought was irritating campery in the early episodes.

In some ways this can backfire. I will cheerfully admit to really liking the band Galileo Galilei, who did the AnoHana OP. I heard their single "Asu E", which was the first OP for Gundam AGE, completely independently of the show and loved it. But with the OP animation it's awful, it doesn't suit the show at all. Given how few people watched Gundam AGE I guess it wasn't a very good sales tactic anyway!

I guess I shouldn't complain since any OP is better than the death of them but I just want some variety from a parade of character shots set to catchy music.

For neither of those things, try Sci-Fi Harry's OP. Or for something more amusing, maybe Moyashimon? The microbes aren't really the characters in the show :p
