Winter-Spring 2014 Anime |OT3| People incapable of guilt usually do have a good time

Because a significant chunk of it feels like it was just carry over from the first series and then the second half was ridiculous contrived nonsense. For all that it got boring towards the end in the first series, at least the ending was sensible in a
"Waifumon! I choose you!" "Uguu!"
way.

Got that off your chest. Is it all out of your system?

Your favorite anime is crap. :p

I don't hate Infinite Stratos as much as I hate the otaku who buy it in droves and slowly murder the industry with their awful taste.

Except the 'stunt' made sense!!

Maybe it made sense, but it just makes the entire third movie unnecessary and was just another way of saying:
"HAHA! You thought this was going to be the end of the story did you! NNNOOOPE! Better get ready for the sequel!"

Anyways I don't really want to start another Madoka Rebellion rant like yesterday. That's just how I feel about the whole thing.
If a sequel is made and it fixes the mess made by the third movie, I'll forgive it.

I've not seen any anime yet that I've hated. Some boring or incredibly dumb, yeah, but no hate.

Maybe I've not seen the 'correct' shows yet.

Or I'm just easily amused

You should just try to keep it that way.

I don't really "hate" shows, I just feel let down by and disappointed in them for not living up to their full potential.

I can feel that way about some shows, like Gundam 00, Rah Xephon or Astral Ocean, but I can't think of any emotion that isn't hatred or revulsion for some shows. I also think some shows I dislike because they're just not for me. Like the more I think about it, that's really all I can accuse Hyouka of: it wasn't for me.

But some shows, like Mars of Destruction, ICE, or Melody of Oblivion are just empty wastelands worthy of nothing but hatred and pity for the accursed fingers which brought them into existence.

Brought to you today by the number 12 and the letter N.

This whole trip has just been awesome and hilarious. This setup promised hilarity and it delivered. But now it feels two particular characters are locked together now. The decision has been made even if by the end of the episode it tried to pass it off as insignificant.

Pilots Love Story 13 -The end. A nice chapter wrapup and setup for the second half. Which is the problem. Is there any chance at all of getting the second half?

If you like magical girl shows, are you watching Happiness Charge Precure at the moment? I don't know whether you have a caveat on mahou shoujo - do you prefer the otaku-y shows where they're a little bit porny or hotblooded, or the more straightforward skewed-towards-young-girls type?

What sense of "slice of life" do you mean? School comedies? Harem shows? Bittersweet stories? It's a bit of a broad term these days so if you could give an example of a slice of life show you've really enjoyed that would probably help suggest one of the new shows that will be airing very soon.

About mahou shoujo (and anime in general) ecchi is not something I enjoy that much.

School comedies are fine but I mostly enjoy with only female characters I loved A channel, Yuyushiki, Love lab, etc. I hate harems, and I can take a bit of bittersweet stories but vanilla it's my fav flavor.

I'm going to watch Happiness Charge Precure, I completely forgot about it x.x

Just when I thought I escaped Kaiji this happens. Episode 9 also featured Yoshinoya with the Kaiji narrator. This came a year after the Kaiji anime too so I assume it was intentional.
So yeah this was a great anime. It took all the good things about S1, and then ironed out the kinks and increased the amount of Oyasan and Miyakichi in general. Budget also took a notable increase for this series as well.
Previous rankings still stand with the following additions:
Would feed a Miya
Would ship a Natsume.
That is all.

I only legitimately hate one show/series: Hetalia. That's what happens when your Anime club is full of Bleach-loving, wanna-be Otaku girls and your the only one with a sensible mind.

I don't even hate Sword Art Online or Chaos;Head, the least favorite series I've fully watched, as much as that pitiful excuse for a show.

What a great show, I'm super excited to watch the new season after I watch the special. The only problem I had with the show was sameface. It never really came up because there weren't many recurring characters but I think if you compared all the characters from the season it would be pretty difficult to tell them apart.

Honestly, I probably would've dropped Clannad if everyone hadn't assured me it was worth it.

:O :,(

But you came around and did like After Story. So at least I have that. The first half of S1 never does me any favors. It's always good to see how people react so differently by After Story. It makes recommending it to people worth it.

All jokes aside let me just say that I don't hate shows, but Infinite Stratos is definitely on my list of shows I hate. There are clueless characters and then there's that guy.

Also just finished Haruhi movie. In short, it was excellent. I didn't watch the entirety of season 2, just read which episodes sounded interesting and watched those. I skipped/didn't watch a lot of the 'making the movie' episodes because nothing really interested me from what I read. As people who were here late at night might know as well, I also basically skipped the entire Endless Eight because fuck you KyoAni. I also watched the whole series in chronological order. These type of shows I don't like abstract storytelling for some reason. It worked in Baccano but if I had to watch this in the same jumping style I would have been pissed as these type of 'slice of life'-esque shows I enjoy by seeing how characters change over time.

For a show and film where the universe revolves around Haruhi, Kyon [Ani] makes the perfect protagonist. If Sugita wasn't my favorite VA before, this cemented it. I'll be writing thoughts on the series and movie later. Shame KyoAni never made a third season.

Yeah, this is the one thing that bothers me a little about Mushishi. Especially the little boys all look pretty much the same. Great show though. :p

Well, for me the sameface adds to mundane factor which contrasted with bizarre things they experienced from mushi. I couldn't remember their name, but it still clear in my mind of what happened each episode.

Well it is a sequel. Madoka Magika by itself was a complete story I agree, Rebellion just extends it. It didn't need to exist but it was a nice (and very welcome imo) to the series.

As for a sequel to Rebellion
I wouldn't mind it. However as it stands right now I'm content in where it stands. The status quo of pre-magical girl/normal life has been set in place, maybe by questionable means but still set in place nonetheless.

Maybe people who like Sugita should watch Kanon 2006 as well?

Ugh I tried. I really did. But. But when the fucking girl with the sword appeared I was all "lol nope". They could've kept the show relatively grounded but then they brought that shit.

Also he doesn't hook up with milf-san, what's the the point? WHAT'S THE POINT.

edit: unless I didn't watch 2006. Also if I had to hear uguuuuuuuuuu~ one more time I swear.

Date A Live's protagonist makes IS's protagonist look like a indecisive idiot.

...Well, even more of one. Point is, Date A Live's protagonist is pretty great, as far as harem leads go.

I'm not a Nagato fan at all, but I really liked the Movie, surprisingly.

Happiness Charge Precure 9

Hmm, I too wonder who Cure Honey could possibly be. Now this is just a theory and all, but I think it might be that girl who gives them honey candies and keeps talking about how amazing food is. Facetiousness aside though, that was a rather bizarre entrance for a Precure. I won't get my hopes up, but based on this, I wonder if they have creative ways of using her in the future.

I too support this defensive mentality. Nothing would satisfy me more than watching the Buccaneers defense make a resurgence and routinely beat the shit out of bitch-asses Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, and Drew Brees.

So happy to see people watching this!!!

Nyanpasuuu

Yeah. It placed pretty high in that AotY, so a lot if people liked it.

And not liking uguu?

The idiots have to take a test to prevent being expelled, and fail miserably because, as was already self-evident, they are all idiots (also they have no toys). Then Arsene/Henrietta goad them into trying to stop her minions from robbing a museum and they fail miserably because again, they are all idiots (also they have no toys). So they are expelled and their attic room is blown the hell up. Also they're still idiots.

Still not sure what to make of this show.

Onodera you are just adorable. Looks like we will find some resolution... maybe in the next episode.... I hope.

Trying to decide if I should go all out on my review of the series like Toradora and From the New World or be lazy and give a quick snip why I like/dislike some things like The Tatami Galaxy and Kill la Kill.

Date A Live and I don't always look eye to eye and I don't seem to love it as much as others here, but I'm looking forward to a new season. I like harem protagonists who know what they want either at the beginning or after some time. Like Shuffle dude. Or the guy from A Bridge to the Starry Skies who knew he wanted senpai to notice him. And she did bro. She did.

Rin from Shuffle was so forgettable. I had a hard time recalling his name a few nights ago when discussing it with someone. Plus at the end everyone was
like "I won't give up trying to get him to fall in love with me" after he chose Asa
. Ugh.
