Mushishi 17

If I didn't know better, I'd say that was almost a happy ending.

But this is Mushishi, so I'm just going to assume
the sister who returned was an empty shell possessing no will to live, and upon returning to her home village her own father shunned her as a demon. A kindly villager kept her alive for a few months by forcing her to eat, but he then died from a sudden disease and the girl was left alone to starve. Her sister didn't even hear of her return until it was too late, and rushed to her side just in time to witness her final moments. But it would have been easier on her if she hadn't, because that just allowed her to stare into her sister's blank eyes and realise that she didn't even recognise her.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Houston, we have lift off. I repeat, we have lift off!

The hot springs episode? Check. This episode had better jokes then the last two episodes.

"Centripetal force". Lol.

Edit: Sorry. Changed the picture. Might have been NSFW.

Oh God son what are you doing? Wait for the Ufotable adaption, DEEN managed to make an interesting character like Shirou into the worst, most pathetic protagonist ever. Never go DEEN.

Well as I've said before I liked FSN.

That said my understanding was that Shirou's old fashioned views on women was a core piece of his characters, not something just made up for the anime.

Seeing Pancakes' name I'm reminded that thanks to all the pancakes talk when corvo was watching Yami I had a big plate of pancakes yesterday. Subliminal messages.

I am Pancakes

You are Pancakes

We are all Pancakes.

If you include After Story yes but I thought Crovo was only watching the first series?

Why would I make him only watch S1? That would be dumb of me.

He's watching Clannad + After Story which is about 49 episodes.
I am watching Mobile Fighter G Gundam which is about 49 episodes.

Oh yeah, now that all my 1-cour Winter shows are over I guess I can do some ranking.

Great:
Mikakunin
Noragami
Silver Spoon S2

Good:
Sakura Trick
Space Dandy
Super Sonico

Average:
Pilot's Love Song

Had its moments, but ultimately not that good:
Chuunibyou Ren

Sub has Miyukichi, there might as well not even be a dub.

Dub is decent, but sub has the quality of most good subs. So up to you.

I loved JYB in it as well as Kida's va, only watched the dub.

Sub it is.

I'll give dub a try later just to hear my man Johnny.

Why in the world would you only watch Clannad. The only reason to suffer through that is to get to the actually good bits in After Story!

No thanks

Sweet episode. Still melancholy, but not as sad as the last couple, which is nice.
I legitimately expected Antares to meet a tragic death, but I'm glad he didn't.

I liked the lines at the end of this episode:
"They say that anyone who travels through space alone is traveling to seek death. The stars, sparkling in this infinite universe, are the frozen tears of the lonely heroes who've passed away. If that's true... what a tremendous amount of tears there are."
Sort of encapsulates the slightly dreamy melancholic feel of this series.

I like this show! I'm disappointed in you guys for not recommending it when I said I was looking for a show about episodically traveling between planets and encountering the people there. Which is exactly what this show is.

Welp all of the animes I was watching ended, is there anything currently airing that I should be watching?

I love Slice of life and Magical Girls animes~

If you like magical girl shows, are you watching Happiness Charge Precure at the moment? I don't know whether you have a caveat on mahou shoujo - do you prefer the otaku-y shows where they're a little bit porny or hotblooded, or the more straightforward skewed-towards-young-girls type?

What sense of "slice of life" do you mean? School comedies? Harem shows? Bittersweet stories? It's a bit of a broad term these days so if you could give an example of a slice of life show you've really enjoyed that would probably help suggest one of the new shows that will be airing very soon.

You know most anime that I watch I usually don't hate but if I had to pick one it would be School Days, fuck that anime. It made me hate the main character so much, but you could say it wasn't all his fault for being a condescending prick due to a special little someone, who caused some of the problems. It made me so disgusted and especially that ending, but if theirs one good thing about that anime it would be that you shouldn't be a dickish asshole because karma will come back to bite you or
you could even lose a head.

Because a significant chunk of it feels like it was just carry over from the first series and then the second half was ridiculous contrived nonsense. For all that it got boring towards the end in the first series, at least the ending was sensible in a
"Waifumon! I choose you!" "Uguu!"
way.

Gundam Build Fighters 25

I lost my shit when
Master Gundam showed up.
So goooood!

An incredibly fun finale to an incredibly fun show.

Wait which anime do you mean.

It's a joke. There is a meme that involves posting a picture of someone (I've never quite worked out who it is) shouting "Your favourite anime is shit!" which people like to post whenever there is disagreement about whether a show is good or not.

I don't hate much anime, because I drop things that I'm not enjoying. :p

For all the posts and incessant hyperbole I like to spout sometimes I don't really 'hate' any anime that I've watched. Even stuff that I find terrible will have some good elements to point to (however difficult it may be to find), and even in the absolute rare case where literally everything is wrong the work will end up providing entertainment value in other ways. And ultimately in the end, it's just anime. Who cares!

One Piece Episode 638 – A Deadly Blow! The Astonishing King Punch!

I dont even remember the contents of this episode happening in the manga. Surely this whole thing wasnt just one chapter back in the day :(

Still, Bartolomeo for next straw hat, please.

I've not seen any anime yet that I've hated. Some boring or incredibly dumb, yeah, but no hate.

Maybe I've not seen the 'correct' shows yet.

Or I'm just easily amused

Only anime I'd say I hate is Infinite Stratos. I take a couple of minutes or so every few days just to hate that show.

Also switched over to the dub. Not bad.

Ah, there we go. So
you only get obliterated if Tenshi really gets you or you accept your fate? So everyone has to constantly not accept their fate to stay and fight, in hopes that there's another way?
Hmm, well, okay, I guess. It could set up some emotional farewells like this one, but still kinda a really odd setting.

That's what I keep telling people....

Just make sure like I said last night to watch the ED and scenes after episodes if there is one. Especially the last episode. It's kind of imperative to the ending.

Even MrJeff has come to accept IS into his heart and this is after countless nights of his anger at Houki keeping him from any sort of restful slumber.
