Black Bullet 2

Wow, that was excellent. It got real dark real fast, the villain is pretty menacing and interesting, we got a taste of the politics of the world, and the MCs got some interesting character development. I really look forward to seeing more of this.

Seriously, I can't believe Sentai did what they did. Just look:

Disgraceful. Branduil's cover art must be some kind of error.

Come on now, guys, they mess up some times but this is just too much, they can't be that bad.

Yeah the villain is pretty menacing and the MC I actually like now since it doesn't look like it'll devolve into harem hijinks. My one complaint is still the lolis. The villain would be so much menacing if he didn't have a moe 5 year old around him trying to act tuff all "imma kill you uguuuuu"

A pity it sold so poorly, though.

Yup. This sounds like the show. :p

Against all odds, this remains pretty entertaining. The CG portions are always going to be shit and it's riddled with QUALITY at times, but the colorful cast and awesome flat shading make the non-combat portions of the show a treat to watch. It's still pretty shounen so I don't think it's a show that most people will enjoy, but it scratches some vague itch for me.

Actually it stuns me how un-shonen the series is, yea it isn't breaking the mold too badly, but on the other hand there is been no trace of hot-bloodedness, extreme idiocy, extremely exaggerated emotions, SHONEN YELLING, dramatic wind, excessive determination and so on and so forth. It is quite refreshing actually.

jesus is that seriously how the manga looked? HAHAHAHA brilliant.

Every single volume cover has one of the girls on the front, usually looking down their cleavage. I have no idea how the story is adapted beyond the vaguely pornographic sex scenes that somehow crept into the first volume; perhaps it's otherwise quite faithful despite the artwork? I mean, I don't actually recognise the characters on the cover of the sixth volume - I think the one in the background with the enormous rack is supposed to be Saki, but the other? No clue.

I don't understand 99% of this thread.

But One Week Friends is pretty enjoyable.

Then you understand the 1% that truly matters.

It's pretty smutty too.

I'm usually uncomfortable with overly sexualized characters in anime (ie unrealstic breasts and slutty clothing) but for some reason their other-wordly smile in these covers makes me more uncomfortable. Like if the second I turned around they turned into these scary motherfucking creatures with sharp teeth and made this face

I'll take a potato chip.... And EAT IT!!

I think the show is trying to flesh the characters out and set up things for the next few episodes. I like how what happened in the last episode had some repercussions in this episode and probably will have more in future episodes. But mostly this episode was mainly the characters mulling over their next move... like they don't know what to do next when I believe the answer is right in front of them.

Gundam Build Fighters 9-16

Reminds me of a time when I waited for new episodes of Yu-gi-oh. This is pretty fun now. I imagine there were a ton of shipping fanart.

Detective Conan 291:
This is truly an example of solid meat and potatoes Conan. The start of a spooky mystery, with the characters in an enclosed setting with no promise of help coming, and a lot of suspects hanging around. It's also a really good episode because there are some really good character moments. Conan and Heiji's friendship/rivalry is always entertaining, and Heiji gets to show his more intense and reckless side, too. He's really lucky that he didn't drown or get swept far away after pulling that stunt. Ran and Kazuha making awkward puns and Heiji getting annoyed by them was a funny moment, too.

This has become quite the unique story. While it does have certain tropes and cliches you can't argue that it's premise is unique. Certainly different from what I've seen.

Anyways in this episode we see Jintan kind of come out of his shell of misery and regret, while still being the likable, kind hearted guy we've come to love. It's good to see at least half this group back together as friends. :)

Also this episode helped certain parts of the OP make sense, now that it's in context.

AnimeGAF, nyanpasu~

Can work be over already? I wanna go home and finish Battle Tendency. WHAHUAAMMUUUUUUUU is still the best villain this season.

Please come back, Dio.

I was thinking about finishing Blood Lad after Battle Tendency, but I'd better go with D-Frag, no way another battle thing can do me any good after Joseph's manly crossdressing.

Raining a lot and it's a bit cold, so I guess it'll be a slow day at work again, time to read KissxSis. leewwwdddddd

I wish work was over but I have to cover for my coworker. This is Day #8 and by tuesday morning I will have worked 96 hours.
Im so fucking sick of this week. I just want to watch anime and play some Blazblue.

I went on my final anime trip today:

There's loads of anime ema there. Huge pics, so links:

Man I would love to see all these someday. Livin the dream.

Wait, that monorail is real!? Going to sound ignorant here but I honestly assumed it was one of those weird anime things they made up for the show because it looked cool. I mean all track based things I've seen in my life have had the track at the bottom.

Yeah I was sure such a thing could exist and I researched it before. Definitely real. Im pretty sure the same monorail is featured in another OP too but cant remember which.

Don't like the anime of this season? No problem, imagine better ones.

The Holy Mecca of DTL

So yeah, this series ended at the very beginning. It was nice to see the origins of Mediator (or Sweets, we never learn her given name), and the final episode got quite creepy.

I came into this series expecting something disturbing and melancholic, but what I got was a beautiful, charming, witty, insane and sometimes disturbing show. Very creative, and now I want to get the bluray. It may not be for everyone, but give it a couple of episodes to see if it's for you. It's definitely one of my favorites, though.

SOGOOD. Glad you gave this show a chance. One of my recent favorites. a really oddball but pleasant series. Her name is "Watashi" or thats what the people who discuss this show and do fanart call her. Youll find lots of stuff about her if you use that name.

It made my top ten. As an anti-romcom, it's pretty good. The fact that he's actually The Batman doesn't hurt either.

That just fuels the fire.

I won't lie, I'm generally dismissive on a lot of stuff so it's interesting to hear about something quality that was overlooked.

I dropped SNAFU when the fat chuuni guy showed up and I realized I didn't care about any of the characters introduced so far.

Unlikeable characters doing uninteresting things.

I'm STILL reading KissxSis, this has been a ridiculously slow week, so much as to not even being fun to chill at work anymore, I need something to do so time can go faster >_>

It's been 8 hours of nothing already today and still one and a half to go.

What makes him interesting is that he's a social pariah and martyr, but he's not necessarily celebrated for it. He really is Bruce Wayne at the end of The Dark Knight. He's the hero we deserve, but not the one we need right now (the more I read that quote, the less sense it makes).
