Ok, I retract that. How else do you explain Argentina being granted penalties when there is non?
Tell me which one is dubious:

vs Arabia: VAR checked grabbing Paredes (fact)
vs Poland: VAR checked Szczesny hits Messi (Ref called it)
vs Netherlands: Acuña fouled inside the area (fact)
vs Croatia: Livakovic fouled Alvarez (he blocked with his leg, fact)

Outside of those first few shaky minutes and concerning that goal Morocco has held their own. Very good on the counter attack and I don't know how many times France will be spared a goal given how Morocco is playing. I hope they play a great second half and tie

1. And yet Maguire didn’t a more obvious penalty. To me the one awarded to Argentina shouldn’t have been a penalty - it happened way off the ball.

2. Not a penalty as the ball was off Messi’s head and then the keeper’s hand hit Messi. Ref called it, I know - as they are pushing for Messi to win. Definitely not a penalty.

3. Grazed his leg and Acuna acted the hell out of it but it is a pen due to soft rules these days.

4. Contact was after the shot. Definitely not a penalty. The keeper stood his ground after Alvarez took the shot.

Completely delusional. So your saying no fouls can happen if its far enough away from the ball? Or you can't foul someone who just took a shot?
You must have a strange rulebook.

edit: Another clear yellow not given against Morocco, ref clearly favoring them now.

1. Do you understand the PK could be called on any player fouled inside the area no matter if posses the ball?
3. He touched Acuña's leg and loose control. Liked or not the overacting there:s VAR to help but the ref was sure.
4. Not even touching the ball makes the block a PK.
2.it's the most dubious, it's ref interpretation

1. Explain to me how Maguire didn’t get the foul? Have you see teams defend corners? There’s always pushing and pulling and yet we don’t see penalties given all the time.

2. I didn’t say it wasn’t a penalty.

Clearly you’ve never how corners are defended. Refs pull back the play on these kind of fouls. If a foul happens on the other side of the pitch in the penalty box, the ref wouldn’t award a penalty.

You can foul someone who’s taken a shot but you don’t get penalties for being tapped on the head after your shot has gone on the head. In this case, Messi being hit on the head isn’t even a foul outside of the box.

Tell me what happens when someone is fouled in the penalty area on the other side of the field then.

edit: bye bye

France is too much for us, still. But no regrets! We had a great run, and losing against the champions of the world in a semi-final is nothing to be ashamed of. We must capitalize on this whole adventure, and work on our most glaring weaknesses, especially the lack of a scorer...although this could be hard, seeing as Morocco has never been known for great attackers.
Congrats, France! I wish I could lie and say that I support you against Argentina, but I hope Messi get crowned, because he absolutely deserves it...His task is going to be hard, very hard, against such a compact team. May the best selection win!

Happy for this win, but at the same time I would rather lose to Morocco than Argentina, so I hope we make it all the way. Also a poor showing like the euros would have ousted Deschamps to make room for Zidane

1. Yes everybody is pushing until the ball is in the air (on play) and in that moment is when have to avoid the foul. This is WC and should be extra cautious. On other championship might happen but it depends on the ref if there's no VAR

3.Come on, the ball is still on play, that's basic

If the ball is on play no matter where and someone is fouled inside the area is PK, that's it

Oh look, France won.

Morocco did great and if they continue like that they have a chance in 2026. The most important thing is moving forward, unlike Poland, who never fucking learns anything.

Awesome achievement but history suggests that it is unlikely you will get here again for a long time. These runs are often miracle runs and rarely something to build off for the smaller nations.

I beg to differ. Our country is well intent on becoming a major inetrnational football player, and with this trajectory, no expenses nor efforts will be spared. I think this is the start of a new era, that you will put Morocco on the world map for years/decades to come.
Also, Morocco is on its way to becoming a great nation. We were once a dominating force, and by God, we shall regain our status of old.

Its more like you gonna use from big immigrants population in western countries, but i would not call that major.

They are Moroccans, buddy...unlike certain countries where people from other origins transform into nationals...Yet, nobody seems to care! If you are born to a Moroccan parent, you are immediately granted citizenship...That is how we have always operated: The law of blood. You may not like it, but that is your problem to fix, buddy!

Im not saying they arent, just poiting where this world cup success are coming from. Its just reality. Without them you would have problem to even qualify on this tournament. Its just not bad or good, its how it is.

I know my History. 😎
Mostly every person on this planet could write something similar poiting at history. Doesnt change today facts.

We have had bi-national players since the late 90s, and yet, we have not gotten out of the pools since 1986...Morocco has been investing in soccer continuously for a decade now, so our performance is not a fluke. I am confident we will do well in 4 years time...but that is just me! 🤷‍♂️
The irony is that today's facts are that we have reached the semi-finals...
