Damn, alright thanks.Mythic BRF isn't soloable. At the very least you need a priest or outlaw rogue for Blast Furnace.
Even Mythic Highmaul would be a stretch to solo. Maybe doable by 2-3+ people though.
Damn, alright thanks.
I'm somewhat curious as the reason why Blizz hasn't turned mega-damage on for Pandaria raids, either.
Yeah, they're soloable (for the most part, mostly on 10 man), but some encounters still are kind of a pain to 'grind down' on 25M or what have you.
I want two or three of those Paragon mounts but if I hit that 10 Paragon rep achievement and I don't get a single one, I'm done with WQ's. I'm not going to continue to grind the same few quests overandoverandoverandover for a chance that something good might happen. I like older expansions methods better, hit exalted, buy a mount with gold and maybe some end-game currency. Not endlessly grinding rep beyond exalted for a chance something might happen.
Looking at the drops people get from the 10,000 rep caches on wowhead, well.. wow. ~800g? Be still my beating heart.

The mega damage was only to compensate for the gear crunch, until we have another one there won't be a change.
Or, you know, think of it as a nice potential bonus for the rep that would otherwise be wasted, and not something to just grind? At a certain point, an unhealthy play style isn't Blizzard's fault, it's yours.
Interesting, had not known (or at least remembered) that. In any case, IIRC blizz said they want to do another squish after Legion is over, so there's that, I guess.
Or, you know, Blizz locking out mounts that have been traditionally associated with reaching exalted reputation, which are now instead just one more cog in the wheel of 'pray RNG smiles on you' that has permeated much of Legion's activities is somehow frustrating for people.
I agree with that to a degree, but we've seen fewer "+1" type mounts this expansion in general, and do we really need 7 colors of the same mediocre model on every vendor for 50k gold each? They've given us cool mounts from much more interesting methods and at least for the first time they've provided some benefit to continuing to get rep, instead of it just hitting a wall and becoming meaningless. I think generally the idea of mounts and other cosmetics being more RNG based is much more okay than stuff like the russian roulette of getting a legendary. In my opinion these particular mounts should be seen as a nice potential bonus, not something that should be a grind.
Eh....I get the 'bonus option' aspect to the mounts, considering they're new models (from Legion, at least), but at the same time, they're a product of the otherwise 'pointless' Legion grind. I haven't forced it or anything, but I've gotten 5 paragon chests so far, and haven't even gotten order resources out of most of them - just another 600-900 gold and a mediocre AP token out of 3 of the 5
At some point, you feel discouraged from even doing them anymore, but then you still 'need' the resources, to some degree - either to keep the grind going, for alts, or what have you. Some of it's a sunk-cost fallacy on the player's part, sure, but at the same time it's another aspect to the 'just one more' gambling mentality that's Blizz has doubled down on this xpac to keep people on the hamster wheel - which I personally find at least a little distasteful.
It's a switch from 'Sweet, I put the time in, and now I get a cool cosmetic reward' to 'Well, I hope I get rewarded for all my time investment with something decent this time around, instead of just a pat on the head'.
I've really gotta stop gambling my nethershards... Saw someone who got 100k and someone else who got 666k, and I can't resist buying a key whenever I have 2k. But the last 4 chests, 3 of them have been 1 nethershard hah. I'm also doing it partially in case it bugs out when combined with the buff that gives extra nethershards when you loot them, but mostly cause im a gambling addict hah.

Exactly this. Earning rep mounts has gone from "you've invested this time, here's a cool thing you can now buy" to "you've invested this time, now you have a chance something cool might drop, eventually, maybe". The latter permeates too much of this expansion and this added layer of RNG to something that simply should not even require it is frustrating.
If you could buy the mounts at Exalted or even Paragon, then I wouldn't give two shits about this or Paragon reps providing additional "bonuses" beyond Exalted.
Don't you think I'd like to have an Ulduar rep to get me Mimiron's Head? Or something to compensate me for my over 300 Utgarde Pinnacle runs where I still have no Blue Proto Drake? RNG is a major aspect of mount collecting and it always will be.
If those chests had nothing in them but gold and resources they'd seem completely pointless. Adding a cosmetic reward gives them the potential to be something interesting.
Anyone defending the layers upon layers upon layers of RNG are missing the point. Too much rng is a discouragement for most people. Some people don't mind but if you look at the feedback for this expansion as a whole, it's that people want less rng but we keep getting more. It's gotten a bit ridiculous.

I think reputations in Legion are inherently different than they were in the past though as far as rewards go. In the past, you had to actively pursue reputations, be it via grinding dungeons, doing daily quests, or grinding mobs. And in most cases, what you were doing to gather the rep didn't award you anything other than that rep, or at least not much aside from it. So it makes sense that MoP or WoD reps give mounts, as you chose to spend time specifically levelling them without much other gain, and you earned the mount. In MoP you got gold and some Charms you easily got from other things from the dailies (after they fixed dumb gear rep requirements), and in WoD not one of the reputations at launch had anything to do with player power. Similarly, in TBC the mount factions had daily quests that awarded only gold, and the mount was the specific and only goal of doing the reps. In fact, in WotLK and Cata, when reps were more passive, most reps didn't have mounts associated with them because it wasn't deserved.
But in Legion, you would eventually get exalted with every rep just by playing the game and gearing normally. Even just doing the emissary a few times a week and doing follower missions, you would be exalted with all right now. Did you really "earn" a mount? You didn't do anything you wouldn't have done otherwise, you just got rep passively for seeking out your upgrades anyway.
I think the rewards should match the activity being done. Just because reps had mounts in the past doesn't mean to me that it should be foregone that every rep in the future also should. Reps in Legion work so differently than they have in the past that I almost feel like buying a mount for 10k gold for exalted with each rep would be undeserved. And if there is one thing in the game that is fine being RNG, it is mount/cosmetic rewards. The entire fun of having a mount is it being rare and you being unique in having it, as soon as a lot of people are riding it, the mount is trash that no one cares about or rides. The rep mounts are much more interesting the way they are than if they were purchasable, and I'm much more likely to ride them if I get one than if I just bought it at exalted. But I guess people like their guaranteed "I do this work and I buy this thing" rewards, and I do see why, I just personally think it doesn't match the effort in these cases (and also makes mounts incredibly uninteresting).
Something is up with Blizzard's dice. I rolled a Relinquished trinket on my Warlock, and he got an 880 Chrono Shard. Fantastic. Then rolled a Relinquished trinket on my Shaman, and he also got an 880 Chrono Shard. Great, but out of everything on the loot table, how did that happen?
I've gotten nothing but worthlsss PVP trinkets with versatility. Fucking lame.Something is up with Blizzard's dice. I rolled a Relinquished trinket on my Warlock, and he got an 880 Chrono Shard. I don't know what class to play anymore..i have them all well expect paladin and hunter. But i am struggling on what is fun to play right now.
I'm almost level 103 now. I've been using my Champions for missions and have another 1,600 Resources left at the moment. Is there any specific thing I should should be saving my Resources for? Or can I just send Champions out to get XP for me/them and not worry?
