Not sure if anyone here can help with this, but wanted to check if any of you guys have had the same experience as I have with Legion. Ever since Legion hit, I've had a huge drop in FPS on my laptop, granted it's not the most powerful by any means, but I would think it should be able to run WoW on 1080p with every other setting on low or disabled except AF and Textures on High. If I go infront of the AH in Stormwind, I drop all the way down to 20-30 FPS with everything on low and the resolution at freaking 800x600, and to me this seems totally absurd.
I'm running WoW on a Lenovo Y700 laptop with a 960M 4Gb, i5 6300HQ 2,3Ghz and 8Gb memory. WoW is installed on an SSD. Does this seem at all right to you guys?
I've kept my eye on the CPU and GPU usage in Afterburner and single core % is never higher than 75-80% and overall CPU is at about 40-50% when the drops happen. Same with GPU, it's at about 20-40%.
Check your in game rendering multiplier, the NVidea software likes to jack that up. Also make sure your draw distance isn't any higher than 7. You might also run a memtest, that sounds a lot like lack of memory, one of your sticks could have gone bad.
I'm running everything at 1, the sliders I mean. And I don't have Nvidia Experience installed, so rendering is at 100%. I tried it at a much higher (also lower), and the same problem still persists.
EDIT: I just downloaded Passmark Memtest86 and it's running. No errors or anything yet, but it's on the first pass at the moment.
Stormwind AH is one of the busiest areas in the game, what's it like everywhere else? I think at like the "7" setting in front of Stormwind AH @ 1440p, I get like 40fps with 1080/6700k.
It varies, a lot. Most of the time it can be on 60 fps, but at times it slows to a crawl at 20 FPS. I wouldn't mind it all that much if I could correct the issue by just changing the resolution to a lower one, but even that doesn't work.
