World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

Its honestly not that hard and the later ones give some good artifact power.

I quite enjoy it. Some anoying bits like having to go talk to the lady in the elite place but I have no problem with it overall. I've been doing it on my druid aswell.

I never actually simmed anything myself so far (mainly because it wasn't necessary because more strength = better in most cases). Do I just go to simcraft and enter my stats or something?

Download simcraft here
https://www.simulationcraft.org/download.html

Install it and go to import, find your realm and character

Under options, check "Enable Scaling" and check all of the character stats you need to know about, then click simulate at the bottom right corner

Your results should give you some stat weights. Like Yanger said, they will change with your gear, like if you have 25% crit and 0 vers, vers is probably better for you for example (not DK specific, just a math example)

Thanks! And for that...

( Pawn: v1: "Nâix": Strength=8.38, CritRating=6.09, HasteRating=6.26, MasteryRating=6.76, Versatility=6.55 )

That moment, when the stats are actually pretty even with my stats. The hell. xD

How to get the Defias Leather set for transmog in Legion:

Requirement:

Must be an Outlaw Rogue
At least lvl 30 to use quest reward

How to:

In Ironclad Cove in the Deadmines you will see a ghostly parrot to the left along the water. If you approach the bird and take out the pet Green Wing Macaw, you will be prompted to use your grappling hook. This will take you to an NPC who gives the quest "Sea'in Red". This quest has you collect 100 maskswhich have a 100% drop from any hostile mob in Deadmines. Once the quest is completed you are rewarded the set.and once unlocked any leather wearing class can transmog it.
Someone needs to figure out how to get Mask of Artful Dodging already.

almost 250 hours into legion, finally got my first legendary,

also pictured is the 835 ring i will still be wearing

sorry but i'm going to need the Sephuz's Secret whiners to give it up, this ring is worse for a priest than a Secret is for ANY class.

You have a better chance than me of having a useful legendary two weeks from now. Maybe a much better chance depending on your class. I would gladly disenchant this ring right now and pay 10,000 gold if it would reset my bad luck protection and let me go try to find another one with a chance to be useful.

All that being said it's no big deal, still like the system, some folks got to get the shitty ones for the good ones to feel cool. Also a chance that this will get redesigned, it's easily the worst healing legendary and one of the worst overall. Just so rough to have jewelry with the wrong secondary stat(s) because it doesn't get a primary stat boost just due to ilvl like other legendaries do. Add on an absolutely useless ability and yeah.

Like I said, still cool.

i was running kara attunement earlier and one guy got his legendary from HoV. Then another gets a legendary from BRH. Im just sitting there just holding back my tears.

edit: I dont really care that getting a legendary is from drops. Im just disappointed that you can get a really crappy legendary which just makes it not feel that great

Got my second legenday for my Brewmaster today from helping out in alt raid. It's the belt that gives 25% heal for any stagger purified. Pretty gud, especially compared to the previous one I had that boost Zen Meditation and is super situational.

Also got the hidden appearance for Windwalker, only missing Brew now :d.

Man I'm jealous.

Still trying for the fists here.

edit: A heads up if you are raising the falcosaurs.

If you are on the stage where you need to do 3 world quest pet battles with one, make sure the corresponding hatchling is actively summoned before doing it. By that I mean, make sure they're out like an actual pet. Otherwise it won't count, even though they're taking part of the battle.

The way I got it was by getting the set before the deleted it.

Got my first legendary today as well, from a Nightfallen emissary chest. I liked the sound effect the game makes when the legendary appears, it's very distinct. I got the Norgannon's Foresight boots, which on my demo lock could be nice I guess (since movement is brutal) but I can't see very much proccing it as doom is my only instant cast, so we'll see. But they're 895 with a good chunk of haste at least.

That's not been my experience. My hatchling wasn't summoned, he was only the first in my battle lineup. I was tasked to fight 3 water striders in the wild and he solo'd all three bouts (not intended, he's just good against aquatics).

If it's any consolation (and it probably isn't) I'm at 351 hours (216 on my main) and no legendary.

Every Heroic group alllllllllllllllllways thinks they have the DPS to 1 phase I'lygnoth. No matter what you tell them. To 1 phase H Eye duder we'd have to be way overgeared for the encounter so we'll be fine 2 phase but noooooooo we gotta be huge badasses and save 3 minutes*

Had a PUG where we couldn't 2 phase him. Our healers had serious issues keeping up during phase 2. So we had one healer go dps, carefully timed our first heart phase and then burst it down in an all or nothing gambit. I doubt we could've done phase 2 unless we replaced one of the healers.

I wish Melee Survival was added as a fourth spec for Hunters.
I am really enjoying it, but at the same time I miss the old Survival playstyle with dots and explosive shot and lock and load.

That or just replaced Marksman with Melee Survival. Marks has always been the least fun Hunter spec.

Maybe its buggy, though I've seen others report the same as me and then once they're sure its out before proceeding, it works.

It took me going through two world quests before I tried it and then it began to work. So who knows. Better safe than sorry.

Unrelated, but another three days until my next try at the fists for my monk. Damn it, drop! I had my best run today! 700 points!

Re frost and versality, it's supposed to be the best stat *sfter* you get crit to 25% and haste to 20%. Crit higher than 25% cuts into killing machines effectiveness so whilst not bad isn't great, and haste between 20 to 30 % doesn't do anything for you (there are breakpoints at 20% and 30% but otherwise no real benefit).

So once you get those stats, versality becomes the default best stat because our mastery doesn't affect Obliteration. It's not that mastery is bad like it is for Blood, where you don't ever want it on your gear, but versality is better.

Not really sure what to think of Karazahn having beaten it. It does not really have a place in the game to me when time is just better spent running Mythic+ or EN. With so much other stuff to do a really grindy and tedious five man is just sort of confusing I guess. I probably would have preferred if they removed most of the old stuff and did more to set it as a regular mythic dungeon that could scale up. Moroes, Attumen, Curator, Maiden...just flat to me. The Netherspite substitute...if that is what it is supposed to be...is conceptually cool but probably the weakest boss in the dungeon. I really do not want to see a mega dungeon again. All it means is absurd amounts of trash and more bosses than I ever want to do at once.

Went to Eye of Azshara to do an elite WQ about killing Nagas and the first kill gave me this:
0iec.png

Made me quite happy and put it on my hunter right away in place of the +haste trinket she was wearing (hopefully with attacks it means any attacks, because if it doesn't work with ranged attacks I'll cry). Right after I proceeded to die a lot because people loved to train the elementals on people killing nagas. This game is full of assholes on both sides, since both horde and alliance players kept doing it.

I don't think there is any ilvl restriction for Mythic+ after Mythic-0

There isn't

That being said if you are trying to beat a +5 timer with a group of people at 850 you're gonna have a bad time

Same if you try to beat a +10 timer with a group less than 870

Aaaand the Falcosaur shit is so buggy.

Today's quest: complete 3 Pet WQs with your Falcosaur pet.

Except I'm not getting credit for any I finish with my Falcosaur pet in combat or just by my side.

World Quests were only content for a few weeks according to you so you and you alone no longer get credit. /s

Ironically: it was a pet quest I normally avoid because it was annoying the first handful of times I did it. That goddamn Thistleaf Bully and his +50% avoid.

How is a miner supposed to reach 800 mining? Just from the Brimstone WQ and the Darkmoon fairy? At 789 (790 after the Brimstone WQ) everything is grey and I haven't seen a skill up except from mining the infernal body for the Brimstone WQ, which is 1 point every... 3 days? If the options truly are the WQ and the Darkmoon Fairy, my dislike for whoever handled professions in Legion can only go up, but it just can't be, right?

Just learned that you can make a trial character on any realm and then immediately go make a DH on that realm (the trial character counts as a 100). Don't even have to load the trial character. Probably a bug, so I'll probably create a few DHs today.

That's how I did it. It's bullshit, though.

On the other hand, getting to 800 does absolutely nothing.

That's how it was for herbalism. Had to wait for a few felwort WQs and DMF.

I keep wanting to believe that once I finally hit 800, I'll finally get one of the three star mining quests, because I still haven't gotten a single one. Of course I look at how interesting and original the three star levels of herbalism are and compare them to the three star mining "get more materials" and just shake my head at how stupidly inconsistent the Blizzard developers really are.

I liked Kara a lot (first half did have a substantial amount of trash, but I didn't mind that much). The one thing I do wish though is that every boss rewarded AP plus a chance at an item. Feels bad going into an epic dungeonraid and getting 4g from a boss. Just a token AP reward would lessen the blow a bit, and might help lengthen the relevance of Kara a bit.

Final 3 bosses were really well designed, great fights overall (though I don't envy tanks on Shade in groups that only have 1-2 interrupts). Really enjoyed the dungeon as a whole, definitely hope they do this more in the future. Nice change of pace from the "gotta go fast" mentality of Mythic+ farming.

Though our session afterwards of Mythic+ dungeons was decidedly less fun, with 4x CoS and 1x Arcway. Great mythic dungeons, TERRIBLE mythic+ dungeons. Blizzard should remember well the lessons of old school challenge modes, random elements in speed runs are overly punishing and drastically reduce the fun of the runs.

E: God why do I bother ever replying to posts on r/wow, I should've learned my lesson by now. There are only so many times I can reply to someone saying the same thing, then having them reply back completely ignoring the point I just made before I lose my mind.
