World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

I'm happy how easy it is to do MoP's raids now (I mean, it wasn't too hard for some classes before, but as a mage...kinda squishy).

I was finally able to complete one of my favorite sets. I had the LFR version but honestly that color sucked. The green was just...too green. And fel-looking.

But this? This is a sweet one.

What class and set is that!?

Dat sheep staff tho

I have really grown to like it. Though I prefer Aluneth's less sheep-y forms. As I want to unlock the other colors though I gotta stick with the sheep.

Least it screams when I polymorph!

Mage, tier 14, though I believe you can actually put together the whole set via non-tier pieces (I've had absolute horrid luck with getting the actual tier tokens for the helm, shoulders, and chest). They all come from heroic MoP-entry raids (Heart of Fear, Terrace, Mogushan Vaults).

Did you solo Siege of Orgrimmar by any chance? If you did, how was it?

I'm actually about to try it out on my monk, now that Galakras was fixed to be solo-able. Will try it on my mage tomorrow I think. Will report back then.

edit: Wow immersius will take a while solo.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Immersius is such a pain. I remember when I did him on my DH.

Might go back now that I can do Galakras.

Yeah, I've been soloing up to Galakras and then dragging a friend in to farm the Dark Shaman transmog and Immersius takes about as long as the rest of the run combined. It is miserable.

I've only bothered to do through the Dark Shamans but its a cakewalk.

Couldn't muster the patience to go through Immersus on mythic so far. That boss irritated me when he was released and now I just detest him.

Not having any luck with drops so far in other old raids doesn't help either.

Not a fan of the staff but the rest are classy AF.

Its also annoying how long it takes to walk everywhere. Wish there was a speed buff or warp system (unless I'm forgetting something in the later parts) or could mount. Damn Garrosh for building indoors.

Running SoO for the first time in ages though brought back some memories. Some good, some bad (god how long did we run this place back then?). I do wonder if we'll see the Klaxxi Paragons again though, one of them says when dying that we'll see them again sometime, and with Old Gods on the horizon...

Not a fan of the staff but the rest are classy AF.

Gotta stick with the staff until I get down all these world quests and dungeon runs to unlock the skin, then its back to the cooler version of Aluneth. Or maybe if I can get the damn star-version of the sword to drop, I'll switch to fire for a time.

Withered training report: Cleared to the end, leaving aside only the two circular rooms (the one with the giant anomaly and the one you can only open with two berserkers) and with 27 withered left. Decided to take a shot at the circular room at the start since it had a chest to pick still. 27 withered entered, 0 left. I'm really not sure how I can clear that room without major losses because of the aoe damage those mobs do and how they are packed close to each other.
At least I only have a few chest to get left, the one at the end and the one in that shitty room (I saw no chest in the room with the giant anomaly but maybe there is one, I never cleared that room in any run so far).
Also, even with the seer unlocked, I didn't see any hidden chest this run, weird.

If you have 27 withered, use lust/hero/drums and berserk mode and just do as much CC as you can while your zombies kill everything.

How to get the Defias Leather set for transmog in Legion:

Requirement:

Must be an Outlaw Rogue
At least lvl 30 to use quest reward

How to:

In Ironclad Cove in the Deadmines you will see a ghostly parrot to the left along the water. If you approach the bird and take out the pet Green Wing Macaw, you will be prompted to use your grappling hook. This will take you to an NPC who gives the quest "Sea'in Red". This quest has you collect 100 maskswhich have a 100% drop from any hostile mob in Deadmines. Once the quest is completed you are rewarded the set.and once unlocked any leather wearing class can transmog it.

Quick question. How do you know if an item is best in slot for you?

This is a tough question to answer. You need to know what your best stat(s) are. Let's say it's Crit > Mastery > Haste > Vers.

You have equipped an 840 Crit/Haste item equipped. If you get an 835 item that's Crit/Mastery, it would probably be better for you. This of course can vary depending on the value of mastery over haste.

I've seen situations where someone has an 840 item equipped, they get a war/titanforged 860 piece, but it lacks the secondary stats they need so they have to keep the 840 on. This is mostly a problem with Rings and Necks and Cloaks

If you want something a bit more guided in game, checkout the addon called Pawn. You'll have to google around to find out the values to make a proper comparison though. Then you can compare the item you have equipped vs. what dropped and it will tell you if its an upgrade or not depending on the value of the stats on the items.

Woah, that's pretty cool. With this, the boss in Gnomeregan or the Hunter pet in Gnomeregan I actually wonder how many other things that have been removed have been hidden like this.

I see thanks. Just seeing people saying a few times that something that has dropped is best in slot and wasn't sure how they knew that.

Today's Sharptalon quest is bugged, btw. Quest asked me to do 5 Val'shara world quests, and instantly completed once I did 1.

Sadly, not really. Burning scrolls are cloth-only.

edit: If you're in highmountain, do yourself a favor and avoid the area north of where the snowfeather falcosaurs are. Seems there will be a Helarjar world quest there eventually, as there is a giant Vision of Helya with vrykul mobs. And it bugs out and puts you in combat regardless of how far you go.

And good luck trying ot defeat them. One is right next to the vision and she will kill you pretty quick.

friend got 2 legendaries today, back to back (first on his pali, then on his DH), another got one on his mage and a third got one on his rogue (in a heroic no less).

when it rains it pours I guess

Just did this, thanks! Did it with a friend on his level 81 rogue too and you both can loot it. Quest showed up as a low level quest for me so might need to turn that on if you do this.

Still none for me. Was really hoping something would drop given how many were showing up.

A lot of classes had their stat values upended when the recent balance fixes went live. Boomkins went from Haste>>>Mastery>Crit>Vers to Haste>>>Crit~=Vers>Mastery.

Re: Frost Versatility

You really need to sim yourself if you want to know. It's close enought hat these stats change at the drop of a hat and depend on your talent/gear choices a lot. For example if you have Toravon's Whiteout bindings (the best leg) it bumps it so that vers/haste/mastery are all about the same for me, with crit lagging behind. My actual gear right now? Vers is on top for sure.

For example, my ACTUAL current gear:
Str > Wdps > Vers > Haste ~= Mastery > AP ~= Crit > WOHdps

My ideal gear (just the bracers changed and talents shifted accordingly:
Str > Wdps ~= Haste ~= Mastery ~= Vers > AP > Crit > WOHdps

I never actually simmed anything myself so far (mainly because it wasn't necessary because more strength = better in most cases). Do I just go to simcraft and enter my stats or something?
