Like I said earlier, though, my server is medium pop at best and I've been able to log in and log out all day without a queue. I guess that's one of the perks of being on a shit server, but these days with all the cross-realm stuff they've added I don't really see the point of being on a high population one anymore.

honestly, if you're looking for the "game" to "feel" like vanilla, it won't. nothing will EVER match that feeling of first entering WoW and seeing xroads, howling fjord, hellfire penn, etc.. likewise, if you favor nostalgia where "back in my day, we had to be at the PC for every single FP along the way.. there were no auto flight paths.. we had to farm water for MC every week" etc.. the game isn't that hardcore anymore. nowhere near it.
with all of that out of the way.. honestly.. it is the best MMO out. yeah there may be some bias there. but I've played FFXIV ARR, Wildstar, DCUO, Rifts, SWTOR, and Neverwinter all recently.. and they are great, absolutely. There are a ton of things in FFXIV that I actually think are probably even better than WoW. But at the end of the day there is only one "the best" and IMHO WoW is still king. The streamlining they did to stats and attributes may seem like dumbing down.. but with icy veins and ask mr robot becoming staples for even casual players.. it just didn't make sense to have all of that complexity when again even the casual player would go, look up 1 or 2 builds, and be done.
about the worst that can be leveled against WoD/WoW at this point is that there is nothing new in the game/expansion for <90. It is only worth mentioning because it's actually only the second other expansion where that was true (BC as well)

goddamn I am stuck on the taxi, it always just stops in the air and I cant do anything, not even log out, need to alt F4 out and log back in, but it just happens over and over again, instance not found it says, but I see people killing mobs and fishing below me.

Same. Garrison instance seems to be broken.
Welp, need the breadcrumb quest for the garrison to continue onto Taladar, and the garrisons are down. Finished with every quest prior to that. q_q
Unfortunately, the only way to abort the taxi is to relog in the middle of the flight, which puts you at the location of the next hub you would visit. If the next hub is your garrison you're SOL until the instance is back up.

What? BC had the Blood elves and Draenei starting zones. It was more than Lich King, which had nothing but one starting zone for Death knights and that's about it.
Lol. TOTALLY forgot about them.
Ok, so yeah.. The worst that can be leveled against WOD is that there is almost no <90 content which is a WoW xpac first.

Which is why they included the boost to level 90. Instead of trying to serve both masters (early game content and upper level content) they opted to go full 90+ content and if you want to get in on the action right away you use the boost.

Game is broke. Everything was perfect for me until my server restarted, now there are like 200 people standing in my garrison. Can't hearth to it, none of the NPCs are there, and for some reason it seems to be the big garrison and not the level 2 one.

I was reading into WoD and the class changes to druid and warrior today and got really excited. I drove straight to a Mediamarkt, which had the best discount offer, after work and bought WoD. I feel a bit guilty, but also child-like satisfied.

Normally I'd say lock, but Prot wars now have a sub-spec that lets them sword and board DPS instead of tank, which looks like a lot of fun.

My last WoW expansion launch was Cataclysm and unless I'm misremembering, that was basically flawless. Dunno what happened here.

I'm a bit surprised at how bad this launch is. I wasn't there for MoP launch but Cata was almost flawless at least on my server.
Earlier I got my character teleported from Frostfire Ridge to Shrine of Two Moons and now I'm getting Character not found error on login.
