Man, healing dungeons in this expansion is.... interesting. I just popped 93 and tried out the Iron Docks for the first time. Something that probably hasn't happened to me since Gnomeregan in Vanilla (where I finally understood how the hell to heal in MMOs) happened: A tank rushed in instantly and pulled about 3 groups, and I just straight up couldn't keep him alive. Sure enough, the entire group takes damage, and I get overwhelmed trying to keep everyone alive (including the tank just getting BEAT ON), he dies, cusses me out, and just drops group. I haven't felt that freaking useless in a looooong time in this game. The last time was probably Patchwerk in Vanilla Naxarammas. No matter how skillfully I play my spells just don't seem to heal enough!
Maybe it's just a Discipline priest thing, but it feels like i have no adequate big heals at all. If a tank drops to 50% health I feel like I'm already losing the battle. I'd chalk it up to my gear just kind of stinking and everyone still being used to the faceroll dungeons near the end of MoP, but it really felt like I had no good answer for 4 people all being low on health. I miss Greater Heal, and instant cast Prayer of Mending, and Renew, and Penance causing Grace. Maybe I should just switch to holy? How is the questing as holy? I was going Disp mostly because I assumed it would make doing quests easier.
LOL man that was his fault. You can't pull 3 groups in Iron Docks unless you are fucking legit and you know your healer is well geared. This isn't like MoP endgame, it's a new expansion. Tanks should be taking things super careful. The few times I've got into a dungeon I've seen the damage people have been taking and the whole group gets hit pretty hard sometimes, heals definitely has a tough job and an extra pack can mean the difference between survival and a wipe. Tanks are going to lose a lot of health fast on some pulls. The game has been rebalanced so tanking and healing isn't faceroll anymore(in general), you gotta work for it.
I remember at the end of Wrath on my Disc Priest. I could go through heroics casting PWS on everyone and that's literally all I had to do and that was just dungeon geared.
That's what I assumed, but damn if it isn't sobering to go from MoP, where you felt like a healing god who could basically will a group through an instance (and do damage on the side!), back to barely being able to keep up with 1 group mishap (pulling an extra group, people standing in fire, etc...). Guess I'm going to have to finally make that LFG Dungeon macro that just says "Hey guys, this isn't [insert last expansion]. Don't pull 3 packs, don't stand in stupid damaging stuff, and please give me time to drink after fights. Love, Your Friendly Neighborhood Owensboro."
I'll get used to it, it's just different. Maybe it's time to just actually install a DPS meter and let the bad DPS die instead of trying to keep EVERYONE alive. It hurts my soul to do that though! I love keeping people alive.
Ashran huge waste of time for melee. Try to tank commander, getk illed have to run back from base, commander dies meanwhile, no honor recieved. May as well just sit back and hit throw.

How are garrisons still broken? Every time I try and hs back there it just crashes my game

I have a question for those of you playing Destro locks. I've changed mains to a lock back in TBC and I have to say it seems something is wrong with my damage output. Anyone else find this? I don't really know any warlocks to have a chat with about this, so I come here. I feel like I'm slow coming out of the gate. I follow the proper rotation I should be and other classes are killing me. I am 100 and my ilevel is 616. Yet I'm usually the worst DPS in 5 man groups. I'm not saying I'm the greatest player in the world, but there is no way that all of a sudden I am now the worst.
destro quite simply doesnt scale as well as other classes. i think this has been a huge issue in the beta. i think numbers will be tweaked after a few weeks after the raids open.

If you really are attached to him then I wouldn't sweat it in the long run. I can't imagine they'll let locks languish for too long.Thank you for your input. Some have said I should just roll another class, like a DK or a warrior for better DPS. I'm just so attached to my warlock. I really love playing as one. I don't want to abandon him. I hope you are right they get tweaked.

Speaking of healing...
I tried heroic Grimrail Depot earlier today. Dungeon Finder, got in, only to find 4 guildies at the first boss.
9 wipes later, this boss is still standing. To be fair, it's a hard boss holy hell. I get kicked, as did the first healer, because obviously it's the healer's fault.
No. No it isn't. DPS finally have to pick up their slack. No longer can we afford to heal them through fire and blast zones. No longer can they go "Adds? Interrupts? LOL who needz this shit look at mah deeps". "I needed heals wtf healer you suck!" No sir. I literally cannot afford to heal you to compensate your mistake.
And I love it.
I wonder if that guild ever got around to finishing that dungeon. I wager not.

A lot of my friends are really hating it for dungeons.
I'm sort of in the middle on it. I got 3 pieces from one dungeon and 0 from 2. I think there is more satisfaction in seeing 1 item drop for 5 people each boss as an accomplishment than only getting one chance per player.
Unless that one item that drops isn't usable by anyone in the group.
Stupid change.
As a plate dps who frequently queues with one or both of a plate tank or a plate healer (and not infrequently another plate dps), I can't wait to disenchant all that cloth/leather/mail that no-one wants!
Why? Crafting supplies are practically raining from the skies.
I think you need to calibrate your sarcasm detector.
Oh. I bet that argument has actually been made seriously already on the official forums though.
So, the anniversary event went live in Europe. Queued into MC LFR, put up with people being complete retards on trash (pulling like it was a retro-raid transmog run), killed Luci and got ~30g for my trouble after spending most of the fight on the floor after being murdered on the first MC cast, got past the dogs (killing some of them three times because people couldn't just let them despawn before pulling the next pack), started fighting Maggy... and the instance servers shit themselves and everyone was booted

Surprisingly, in the now stuck 26 page thread on the change, it's overwhelmingly negative towards the change. The mmo champ poll on it is like 60% in favor of personal loot as well.
Baffling change.

Yes, thank you so much Blizzard.
Nope, horrible change. Now we're back to people needing shit for their off-spec, and people from the same guild / friends needing items so they have a greater chance of getting it. Have fun having to roll against people for your loot instead of just getting it. Watch the amount of gear you get decrease.

They pulled the plug on Molton Core, it's not supposed to go live until 10am CET (9am in the UK). It went live early for some reason.
People in trade were saying they'd been booted from lowbie dungeons as well, though.
I guess whatever they had to do to shut it all down was kinda drastic.
Blizzard employee: "I said pull the plug... not all of them!"
The servers will probably still die a slow, painful death tomorrow anyway when it does go live for real. This was just a portent of things to come.
I loved personal loot...
If you think bad luck with personal loot is so bad, I bet you can't wait to go back to a system where you can still have bad luck, only with the added bonus of some asshole who might need/ninja the item that finally drops after like ten runs!

I don't like that change. I will leave feedback. It's still the old way if you queue with a full party. Had that happen to me earlier in the week.Blizzard is reverting dungeons to Need before Greed loot instead of the awesome personal loot system for some completely baffling reason.

So I haven't really played properly since wotlk, is it me or does the new talent system suck balls?
I get that they wanted to simplify and condense things, while also removing talents that we're practically obligatory. But it seems like all the new stuff is situational at best or often times down right meaningless. Entire tiers are dedicated to skills or upgrades that could only possibly be useful in pvp. Which is a giant fucking waste when you don't use that particular spec in pvp.
