Problem with archaeology is that when certain things are discovered and such, they aren't announced in certain news circles till months or even years later. I don't know the entire process but I imagine this pyramid has been known, both locally and scientifically, for years. It's only till now that the general public get the news about it.

I could never go inside a pyramid I think.

For some reason I find them to be the creepiest buildings ever. I mean most of them are just giant tombs. I'd always be thinking there were traps inside and I would be buried alive!!! :lol

Maybe that would have made sense when information travelled at the speed of boat. Why would they wait to announce stuff?

I think it's mainly because these findings and such have to go through a lot of red tape. Government contracts, local council contracts, etc etc. There's a guy on the Ausgaf section in Gaming who is involved with archaeology and was part of the team that excavated those three new dinosaurs found in Australia just recently a month back or so - thing is the team he was part of discovered those bones a year or more ago. I suspect a lot of that had to do with digging in certain Aboriginal areas i.e. if you're digging in an old tribal area and you find Aboriginal bones, your entire excavation could be beset by delays for years simply because you accidentally found an old burial site.

I'm not sure if this is a sarcastic post but it's coming from you Wii so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, however this is the second time I've heard of someone mention this "Hall of Records"

The first time was from a friend of mine who went on an intense trip from LSD back during out latter teenage years and experienced this Hall of Records apparently. Of course that was all an hallucination, but the things he recalled was quite striking - something about detailing important events from the past, present, and future. We never knew fully about it and still don't simply because we were too young to really acknowledge it properly, and heck the same friend of mine is the most stoic scientific thinker out there. Just a bit "out there" to have the same thing mentioned by someone else.

Yeah, lots of interesting stuff in there btw but nothing conclusive enough yet that it's a pyramid. Why don't they just get a giant razor and shave the damn things.

They smell like urine.

Not just any urine, but the urine of Egyptian tomb robbers, Greek Hoplites, Roman Legionaries, Ottomans, and French and British infantry. It is the urine of history.

Besides, the best tombs are in the Valley of the Kings. There are some amazing tombs there.

As for your friend, that's actually really interesting imo. Reminds me of past lives and whatnot, since there is actually quite a few stories where people account detailed recollections via hypnosis treatment of other lifetimes, and in some cases young children actually remember past 'events' with great detail as if it's normal. Weird stuff, but who knows.. you should suggest to him to go see someone who specializes in that kind of stuff, the LSD must have had a certain effect on him at the time (it does free the mind ) so it would be interesting to use and go through some kind of hypnosis process.

You don't remember anything more of that event btw? And you sure he wasn't into Egyptian history or had seen movies recently and whatnot? Strange indeed man..
