Unfortunately, from personal experience and my male Asian friends, that seems about right.

I know one person who's Chinese and...common law? with a Greek girl. She may be unique though because the few times I talked to her, I never got the impression she saw me as a "Chinese guy", just a "guy". I can't say the same thing for a lot of other girls I meet up here.

Met one British girl who went to a high school filled with Asian guys and told me she only had interest in them. I was curious enough to ask why, and she just said she's used to them.

Met another British girl who was teaching English in Seoul who...enjoyed the local culture, let's say. Again, the few times I talked to her, I never got the impression she viewed me as anything other than a guy.

Met a Japanese girl who ONLY dated French guys for the image they portrayed and hated Asian guys due to her father.

Heh, I do know this one Chinese male and Black female couple. Unfortunately, she's a super crazy jealous type.

What are you considering "submissive"? I currently live in Japan and I wouldn't consider the women there "submissive". I do consider most of them to at least be loyal, committed, and willing to do their part in an equal relationship which I can't say for American women these days. Their divorce rate is also a lot lower because there is a greater stigma on divorce still in the asian countries.

As soon as a relationship becomes difficult, the American way is to divorce and try again. Especially on the women side. You always hear about the "50% divorce rate" statistic in the US, but what you don't hear about is that 80% of those divorces are initiated by the woman. Why? Because she makes out like a bandit in divorce court. It becomes too financially beneficial for the woman to the point where divorce is an extremely attractive option for the woman.

(The statistic for Filipino woman-American man marriages is 80% success rate.)

I personally enjoy asian features in their physical look. The long, flowing black hair, the almond eyes, the great skin, the feminine and dainty way that they carry themselves, but you can't really lump them all into the "asian" category. I've been to many countries and a Japanese woman acts very different from a Chinese or Korean woman, then moving to the southeast, and a Vietnamese woman or Thai woman acts different as well.

I personally like the features of Japanese women, Thai women, and Filipino women the best, with Chinese women and Vietnamese women also being quite attractive. Was not at all impressed with what I saw in my two visits to Korea. Korean women in entertainment and modeling are gorgeous, but the everyday Korean woman on the streets was not at all attractive to me.

But that's just a superficial look. I don't base relationships on physical fetishes. There has to be a physical attraction, but I have seen a wide range of women in all nationalities that I find attractive. But American women are losing their luster with me after serving for 19 years in the Navy and traveling around SE Asia. Their yoga-pant or sweat-pant wearing masculinity has turned me off when compared to the feminine elegance that is the Japanese woman. It's not just the physical features, it's the way they carry themselves. It's just something you have to see to truly realize how far American women have dropped off in their style and femininity. Add to that the hyper-feminist culture/upbringing and "men suck and must be punished for everything" attitude of the entire nation and it has bred a whole generation of women that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

Women in America used to be able to compete with that. They knew how to be women. Now they all want to be tougher than men and "put men in their place" which is beneath them, controlled by them, enslaved by them. What you call "submissive asians", I call feminine, loyal, trustworthy, committed, and elegant women.

Their beautiful asian physical features are only the exterior icing on an already delicious cake.

I mean, if you date a blonde girl, you'd hopefully appreciate her blonde looks. Ethnicity is the same way. Its a trait, and there's nothing wrong with specifically appreciating that trait.

that's precisely how I feel about it. Everyone likes certain "traits" - culture and ethnicity are just factors in that equation.

Everyone has preferences as far as physical appearances go. Ethnicity plays a heavy role in physical appearance. You're fooling yourself if you deny either of these things.

Nah.

He's hitting some alright tones. Some deaf ones too, I'll admit. Other cultures don't have the sex/gender conflict like we do here in America. They may have their conflicts, but its nothing like it is in America and perhaps also the UK and AUS. The legality surrounding the sex issues of marriage and divorce are really in need of re-examination here.

I certainly don't agree with his definition of subservience though, and it's best we omit that. And i don't agree that people should even seek somehting like that out, based on real impressions or not. But if he says women from other countries tend to be more loyal or less likely to divorce, less likely to cheat, and that's what he seeks out. I'm not going to attack him.
