Reading the paladin posts on the beta board are hilarious. My friend just went broke respecing his Paladin. The seal + judegment combinations rock, and twisting the seals are very powerful. Paladins are complaining this is boring? When they've been mashing the same two combat keys for 10 months? Jesus, people whine about everything, and it's obvious hardly any of the people bitching have tested the changes. Blizzard really needs to refund Paladin players about 120g though. But anyway, the Paladin is insanely cool now. If I was going Alliance I would probably level an alt Paladin to 60 with my rogue. But the Alliance sadly sucks balls.

Damnit, are you sure hunters are really populous?Right after they were introduced I could see,but everyone deemed them crap and went back to their other classes.I picked hunter because it seemed interesting and not many people would be one.I hope it's just because all the new guys are trying it out because it's the only ranged weapon class. Also maybe it's because of talents and the few other changes.

Hrm, looking at the classes again. I'll probably be a Paladin, Priest, Mage or Warrior. Rogue sounds fun but it was never my bag in most MMOs.

Yeah. I've kinda decided against Rogue, now. Dunno why... images of ^^ run around in my head when I think of the class...

Well,it's past 12am pacific and no update yet, although they'll probably wait till morning. It sucks though because the guild wars preview weekend just ended and now I have nothing interesting to play.

Argh...this sucks. Why release it on a day when people have to work? ><

the new felhunter pet for warlocks owns, it's definitely the best group pet now IMO. paladins actually sound like they are fun to play now but require actual thinking, which is probably why most of the paladin testers in closed beta are bitching since a retarded monkey could play paladin at 100% effectiveness before. and a level 54 hunter guildmate on horde is doing huge dps now.

I really think, though, that healers and warriors are the most crucial but least appreciated classes in all MMOs and that's true with WOW as well. I never liked tanking much with a warrior because it was (I don't know how it is now) just mashing the taunt button whenever you had rage for it.

definitely sticking with my plan to make an orc warlock first in retail, then it's really either troll priest (if they make the berserker racial trait better for casters, like changing it so it's active whenever but makes you take more damage) or orc shaman, then orc hunter.

warlocks own for the most part, the only semi-lame thing is that the high level summoned demons (the doomguard and the infernal) are hostile when summoned and don't last long (with a huge cooldown too) so you pretty much have to use them with the enslave demon spell. they're pretty costly as a class for training as well, but now you can bypass some of the spells with these new grimoires (before it always required previous ranks, now you can just buy the highest rank), plus they kill fast enough that you can take some good money making tradeskills if you really want.

Jezus Christ, I've been checking for 13 and a half hours now. Open the goddamn thing~!!!

MrPing, google for real estate sites operating in America. It's what I did ;) :D

Same here...this is stupid. Already 3:30 EST.

I don't think it will be up before I head out in half an hour, but it better be up when I return!

Man, I have to go to work in 30 minutes and sell Halo 2 for almost 24 hours straight through. Luckily, my awesome girlfriend is keeping tabs on the open beta and signing me up. ^_^

Blizzard games in general are delayed for years at a time before they release. I'm not surprised that they're torturing us with a just out of reach open beta.
This is what I'm saying, they are always torturing us by delaying stuff more and more...

It's awesome that the people in the bazillion-post threads complaining about the death penalty are the same people who made bazillion-post threads for the past eight months complaining that there was no death penalty.

I think Blizzard's death penalty is a little harsh tho... 100% durability loss on EVERYTHING in your inventory is a bit too much. Plus the 30 min. res sickness is insanse.

Maybe make it a few min. sickness and 50% durability loss on all items, equipped and in inventory... or 100% loss on just items equipped.

Is this new? It never happened to me in the first stress test.

The new death penalty that they're using in the patch looks rigidly harsh to me. I think it's the worse of all the ones I've seen in all the MMOs I've played.

Here is everything related to durability from the patch, Trasher.

* On death, all equipped items will lose 10% durability.

* Durability loss through fighting has been decreased (mainly to accommodate the new penalty for dying)

* The penalty for using a Spirit Healer has been changed - there is no longer any experience loss, instead all items (equipped and inventory) will take 100% durability loss and the character will gain resurrection sickness for a duration that scale according to level.
