the new felhunter pet for warlocks owns, it's definitely the best group pet now IMO. paladins actually sound like they are fun to play now but require actual thinking, which is probably why most of the paladin testers in closed beta are bitching since a retarded monkey could play paladin at 100% effectiveness before. and a level 54 hunter guildmate on horde is doing huge dps now.
I really think, though, that healers and warriors are the most crucial but least appreciated classes in all MMOs and that's true with WOW as well. I never liked tanking much with a warrior because it was (I don't know how it is now) just mashing the taunt button whenever you had rage for it.
definitely sticking with my plan to make an orc warlock first in retail, then it's really either troll priest (if they make the berserker racial trait better for casters, like changing it so it's active whenever but makes you take more damage) or orc shaman, then orc hunter.
warlocks own for the most part, the only semi-lame thing is that the high level summoned demons (the doomguard and the infernal) are hostile when summoned and don't last long (with a huge cooldown too) so you pretty much have to use them with the enslave demon spell. they're pretty costly as a class for training as well, but now you can bypass some of the spells with these new grimoires (before it always required previous ranks, now you can just buy the highest rank), plus they kill fast enough that you can take some good money making tradeskills if you really want.
