My prediction for sunday

Andre Battle Royal - Mizdow and about mizdow how he and miz dont have a one on one match is beyond me , it was the perfect time to have this feud but they completly fucked up , like they did with most of the mania card and will fuck up with the winners.

Biggest missed opportunities for Mania were setting up Miz/Mizdow match and a Stardust/Goldust match. The entire card could have been red hot with the exception of the title match. And even that can be saved with proper booking.

"n an act of sheer defiance before The Show of Shows, Roman Reigns snatched the WWE World Heavyweight Title from Brock Lesnar and refused to let it go. Will The Big Dog be able to get his hands on the most prestigious prize in sports-entertainment this Sunday at WrestleMania?"

WWE.com writers really reaching to make Roman look strong.

This is my first Wrestlemania! I've only watched WM13 in retrospect when I started to go over the Attitude era.

Thoughts on the card and how it has been built since I started watching at Hell in Cell (and properly after Survivor Series)

Cesaro/Kidd (c) vs The Usos vs New Day vs Los Matadores – WWE Tag Team Championship

Anticipation Level = 2/5

Tag team division was actually making some ground up towards having proper rivalries with the Usos and Cesaro/Kidd feuding. Instead of building up a new matchup between any of the other teams (maybe the reformed Prime Time Players, who have been shunted to the side already) we get a no storyline multiman match. I want KiddCesaro to retain but Usos will win.

The Second Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Anticipation Level = 1/5

The man who won this last year is on before this match, in a tag team. The best, most developed storyline in the last few months is in this match instead of having its own spot, giving it the 1 on the anticipation level. I hope Titus O' Neil wins, he looks great, talks great and his theme is banging.

Rusev (c) vs John Cena – United States Championship

Anticipation Level = 2/5

I couldn't stand Rusev when I started watching. Predictable squashes in an enormously played out storyline. He has definitely grown on me - he can wrestle an entertaining match when given the chance, being extremely agile for a man his size. His mannerisms and heel antics alongside Lana are fantastic. Still the framework of USA vs USSR Russia is so boring and limiting. Cena has played his role acceptably apart from some really questionable insults thrown to Lana given his supposed good guy standing. Cena will win because he has to and Rusev will have nothing to do after.

Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins

Anticipation Level = 3/5

This should have been the feud. Actually Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins should have been the feud coming into Wrestlemania but I'd settle for this. Sadly Orton's return was seriously underwhelming, simply hitting the reset button on the whole thing to build it back up again, poorly, for 3 weeks. I loved the crazy coke fueled Orton pre his going away. Still I'm looking forward to what should be a very entertaining match. I kinda hope Rollins wins because he's been the best part of the show for the last few months and should CASH IN AND WIN THE BELT FOREVER AND EVER.

Daniel Bryan vs Stardust vs Dolph Ziggler vs Luke Harper vs Dean Ambrose vs R Truth vs Wade Barrett (c) – WWE Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

Anticipation Level = 0/5

Turd build. Turd belt. R-Turd. Starturd. Bad News Turd. I genuinely love each one of these performers in this match and they all deserve better. This is the graveyard of my favorites. This is going to get a bit ranty.

People who know a lot more about wrestling than me have said much better things about Daniel Byran. I wasn't there for the moment last year but I can tell that audiences react to this guy and I want to cheer for him.

Stardust had just won the tag belts when I came in. He got some promo time with Goldust and it was weird and great. He is 100% committed to this gimmick. His best promo was put on Youtube. He should be having a singles match vs Goldust here.

Dolph has gone from being the guy that got me to sit down and watch Raw each week at Survivor Series (a position that Reigns should have been in were he not injured, as has been pointed out) to killing himself in a dumb ladder match at TLC for nothing and killing himself again in this dumb ladder match for nothing.

Luke Harper should replace Kane/Big Show in the Authority as the unhinged big guy that murders people.

Dean Ambrose should be the 2010's Stone Cold.

I don't like R-Truth.

Wade Barrett is the finest example of how awful having the IC belt is.

I don't care about how good a match they have, none of it matters. R-Truth will win, I can feel it.

AJ Lee and Paige vs The Bella Twins

Anticipation Level = 1/5

I generally skip the Divas segments on Raw. Recently the NXT women have been stealing the show and I'm glad that the Raw girls are getting longer matches. I hope they can really knock this one out of the park on the big stage to match their developmental peers. So they can move onto the next Total Divas mandated storyline.

The Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt

Anticipation Level = 2/5

Before watching a bunch of 97/98 WWE I was nonplussed for this match. Taker didn't really mean that much to me - I haven't seen him on my TV once. Wyatt promos are great and different but when its all the feud has to rely on beyond cheap lighting tricks to build, they get old quickly. Still this should be a visual setpiece and has potential to have an incredibly weird finish. I still can't forgive Bray for being the roadblock that stopped Rollins vs Ambrose though. God knows who wins, it hurts both a lot to lose.

Sting vs Triple H

Anticipation Level = 3/5

I haven't seen Sting wrestle a match once and my enduring image of him in my mind is this TNA gif which I see in the thread a lot. Thanks to Wrestling isn't Wrestling, 97/98 viewings and the documentary on the Network I know far more about HHH than anyone else on the roster and dig him a lot. I hope his entrance is as cool as the gifs I have seen from 30. Should be a competent match that the crowd will be into. Stang will win.

Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns – WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Anticipation Level = 5/5

Never saw the Shield in action so I never got to see Roman when people liked him. He should have been wrestling guys like Ziggler, Byran and Harper instead of fucking Big Show, Kane et al. I've seen him mess up promos, wrestle ho-hum matches, make very odd facial expressions, give questionable outside interviews and look unconvincing. Everytime I hear Brock's music hit I get excited. He feels special, otherworldly and very very dangerous. He is easily in my top 5 and I've seen him wrestle once - apart from a brief viewing of the Summerslam match vs Cena. I want him to retain. My anticipation level is so high because I can't wait to hear the reaction to Reigns - pure schadenfreude - whether they'll have him go over clean on Brock AND Rollins cash in on the night or night after and just how bad his title reign will get. Believe that.

Don't watch the Attitude Era WM's, they're terrible. Watch 17, 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26 and 30. Enjoy! :)

So you highly anticipate the main event and have no interest in the IC ladder match? What universe is this?

Fair warning to those who haven't seen this segment yet: This WWE upload already edited the crowd reaction to Roman snagging the belt by adding in some positive noise. I was watching the live broadcast last night and there were ZERO cheers in the crowd. It was 100% loud booing.

EDIT: I'm mistaken and I guess I heard what I wanted to hear last night. The audio is the same as last night.

The boos directly impact his ability to make a living for him and his family. I wish the fans would think about that before they make noises between stuffing concession stand nachos in their mouths.

So not worth it

Because I was doubtful about this claim I just rewatched the original broadcast.

Nothing was edited, nothing was changed. Reaction on the YouTube video is exactly as it was originally.

Nah, that's how it sounded on the broadcast last night too. Even if it wasn't 100% boo's, he still got the shit booed out of him.

Wait how long has he been "The Big Dog?"

How many nicknames have they tried with him?

What if they brought their own nachos, possibly Cool Original Doritos? Does their booing have more impact?

FYI: For us Canadians who hate Rogers and have Bell.
Bell Fiber Op TV is getting the WWE Network. It officially launches on March 31st. You can call starting tomorrow to get it for Wrestlemania however.

When he first came down there was a smattering of overrated chants and some boos and very light cheers, pretty dead mostly until he took the belt then it was some cheers and then when nothing happened it went to all boos pretty fast

Is it too late to announce Stone Cold as the Special Guest Referee so the audience doesn't boo the match back to the stone age?

The only time the crowd would sound positive is when; 1) Stone Cold comes out, 2) Stone Cold inevitably stunners them both at the end of the match.

The crowd is perfectly happy with Brock, there's no reason to do gimmicks other than change the heel/face dynamic from Brock/Roman to Roman/Brock instead.

Which they've been sort of teasing for a while now, I think we're pretty much in for a double turn at Mania.

I'm not sure there's anything to look forward to with Wrestlemania. A successful defense by a part-time champion? The reign of Roman? Paige and AJ might turn on each other?

The battle royal will be fun, and I think it will be good for Bryan and Cena to win championships and restore some measure of credibility to their respective titles. The Sting match is intriguing, but I imagine its novelty factor will far outweigh its quality.

I dunno, Taker deserves a ticket back to NXT. Dude technically hasn't wrestled a good match in over two years.

And Taker's promos against Wyatt are the worst. Because he's so lazy that they don't exist.

When was Undertaker an active NXT wrestler? I don't recall this happening.

Brock beats Reigns.

Then Rollins.

Then suplexs every member of The Authority.

Then doesn't appear on RAW the next night.

The smooth taste of cool original Doritos would be spat into the open air.

WWE title gets defended in the UFC for a year

Honestly, the storyline with the most potential AND the most versatility is that Roman loses, Brock wins, and Rollins cashes in and is successful.

1: Roman doesn't have the title, which would make him a complete heel
2: Brock -could- leave and do UFC, or
3: Brock could have his monster babyface run and chase through Summerslam
4: Rollins finally uses that fucking briefcase

Lots of potential with that angle for character growth and evolution. I don't know why they wouldn't go this route. You can't have Rollins cash in on Reigns, because that would make Rollins a face.

The pop would rival the one Zigglet got a couple years ago. That crowd would (will) go insane for that.

And the heat from that would also be amazing

Rollins vs Lesnar with Lesnar as a face would be a great SummerSlam main-event. Could be a great angle for sure. Reigns and/or Ambrose could be the filler until then.

Then Rollins retains in the emerging feud with Reigns for a couple of PPVs and the main event of Summerslam is IC Champion Daniel Bryan Vs WWE Champion Seth Rollins and have Seth retain clean. Huge heel win and probably a terrific match.

Have Brock get sidetracked but enter the Rumble to finally get his revenge on Seth and get back his title.
