Preordered. Not " hyped" but certainly looking forward to playing.

Looking at top sellers on Steam it's doing much, much better worldwide than in the US.

Yeah bought the Deluxe. I'm committed to beating Donkey Kong in a week to jump right into Wuchang. Souls game with Fighting Game mechanics looks right up my alley.

It looks just like the other one that sounds like it. these games will never reach the level of fromsoft games if you think they do you are an idiot.

Still have Nioh 2, Stellar Blade, Stranger of Paradise and Khazan to play, so no, not at launch at least.

Kinda tired of seeing all the modern "sword games" play more or less the same.

Seems to have a lot in common with Black Myth Wukong based on the gameplay I've seen. I'll enjoy Wuchang I'm sure but I'd love some of these modern Sword games to get back to the OG baller swordfighter that is Blade of Darkness.

I'll be reading yours and other fellow gaffers impressions. If the game delivers as much as BM:W I might end up getting it sooner than expected.

My man! Loved that game. I sure miss when "sword games" let you do directional attacks or even combos. Hell, even Zelda OOT had that! Nowadays it's way too simplified, jsut normal attack and strong attack, with more emphasis on being defensive rather than doing cool stuff.

Blade was ahead of it's time. Sure had some neat hitbox-porn when cutting enemies limbs.

Not buying it since I'm not into souls like and setting.

I bought Stellar Blade because I also like the lore, monster design etc but I don't have the same feeling for this game no matter how hot they make the character.

I do hope it does well though.

The only type of "Souls-like" I play is actual Souls game made by FromSoftware and no one else.

Some people might say thats close minded of me and they maybe right but this way I never get tired of Souls game formula because I just dont play every "Souls-clones" that comes out.

I'm not hyped but hopefully it'll hit the quality of something like Lies of P or be like 80%-90% as good as it. If it's around that quality level then I'll most likely get it.

Here honey, it's time for your weekly reminder to play Lies of P once and for all.

See ya next week! :lollipop_content:

Not many current if any games have directionals or decapitation based on where your weapon strikes. A lot of current games have scripted animations that you overcommit to and have little to no advanced tech for either self improvement or skill expression or just doing something because it looks cool.

Think only BoD and Jedi Academy/Jedi Outcast has any of that.

NEVER!

Female wukong. Probably not as I thought Wukong was pretty average and this looks worse.

Edit: around 30 bucks on some of the third-party sites...not a bad price. Might reconsider. Thought it was going to be 70+ or some shit.

Zero Hype, for this type of game.
Does China have any puzzle games I could get into instead.
I would love a Myst like graphical adventure with the look of these games.

Way more hyped for this than Wokai but I'll be waiting on reviews for both games just in case.

I luuuuuuuuved Wukong and anything close to that and I'm in.

I much prefer soulsborne to open world slop but I have an open mind.

Lies of P and Nioh 2 both hold their own with pre-ER From titles. Specifically Nioh 2 arguably has the combat crown and Lies of P has competitive ambiance. Neither game misses as many tricks as you would expect. Unlike ER, NG+1 isn't a victory lap.

I've never let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

If a person did though, I would not call them an idiot.

Honestly sounds to me like you are trying to eliminate fomo with a blanket statement rather than giving a grizzled veteran's report on all the soulslikes you've completed lately but who knows.

When it comes to Soulslop, China already put their best foot forward with Black Myth, which outside of its graphics was ultimately an average game. So I have zero faith in any of their other attempts at the 'genre'.

This game was sooooooo good! I do hope either FROM makes Sekiro sequel (the true ending gives room for one) or single player new IP like they did with Sekiro.
Sekiro *is* so good.

A direct sequel following the true ending would be awesome. I also wouldn't mind a prequel playing as Orangutan. I would be very interested in seeing what leads to him becoming the Sculptor.

I actual the prequel has to be about Tomoe, there is so much lore about her in the game.

In all honesty? I wouldn't want to see Atsu in an outfit like a girl in Wuchang is wearing.

They could've hired a much more attractive- and better - actress in someone like Karen Fukuwara. She's probably more pesos…but…the agenda is real. It shall be peddled.
Atsu is typical ugly woke shemale. Wuchang looks way better

I love this type of game, but I am not sure.

The graphics and art seems cool, but the combat seems weird to me, something on it gives me a bad impression.

From Bujingai on Ps2 to Jedi Survivor on current gen, there's always some games like this that seems perfect for my tastes, but then there's something on the combat that makes it unplayable for me.

Thankfully it will be released on gamepass, so I will play it there first and depending on how much I enjoy it, I might buy it.
