Wukong Director posted on Weibo to thank all supports for Steam Awards, also addressing the delay of Xbox port for the first time.

Although there were no big surprises, I still felt a little emotional after getting all of them (STEAM awards). Everyone's fighting hard for us. But the only thing missing is the XBOX award, which should've been there (but that 10G of shared memory, it's really impossible to get it without several years of optimization experience

To be fair, BMW is extremely poorly optimized. They cannot even give us a 1080p/60fps mode on the base PS5 without frame generation, so I imagine Series S was something like 720p-900p and 45-ish fps with frame generation. An awful experience.

Still, that's at least two major titles that were delayed on Xbox because of the Series S.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

True, when the Ps5 Pro version drops to 46 and below, they've got a lot of room for improvement.

Perhaps, like AW2 and BG3 developers ended up saying, working on the Series S version will be beneficial to all console versions.

Still a bit bitter than they can't offer proper 60 FPS on PS5 Pro. hopefully they'll further hone their skills with future patches.

Is that series s? Yeah I remember everyone saying that within 3 to 4 years xbox will suffer due to series s and here we are. You were all right.

Could be the Series s And the X.
On the Series X, one segment is 10 GB running at 560 GB/s, primarily used for the graphics system, and the other is 6 GB running at 336 GB/s.
On the Series S, it's even worse. It's split into two parts: 8 GB running at 224 GB/s and 2 GB running at 56 GB/s.

So devs have to control what goes into what, or risk hitting the slower pool and performance staling.

I bought the game on PS5. It ran like shit so I uninstalled. Reinstalled with the Pro patch. It still ran like shit. Waste of money and SSD space. Stellar Blade is a better action game that actually runs well.
one is using Unreal Engine 5 and other is using Unreal Engine 4.

threat interactive made a video about it.

I buy way more games than you do. I've never even seen you discuss actually playing something ...
im a normie gamer. i play like 3-5 games a year at most. i don't have FOMO and even struggle convincing myself to play videogames. (I don't like the feeling of thinking I'm wasting my time).

im currently playing Persona5. and i don't play games in order to talk about them.🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah that sounds pretty damn bad. Luckily for Xbox there hasn't been many devs coming across this issue but they should have designed the systems with more memory across the board.

As much as I want to be part of the ‘haha, fuck you series s’ bandwagon, I gotta go with the devil’s advocates here. The game runs like shit even on the best hardware
That's part of it. Raises questions, however, about Microsoft pointing to "deals made by our partners with other platform holders" as the reason that the game isn't on Xbox.
Thats a given though, theyre not going to bad talk their own product

Theyd rather save face and secretly send optimization ambassadors to help with the port like they did with the first destiny

So it sounds like the devs weren't worthy of their GOTY awards they cried about. Need about a decade to get those skills!

The way this game performs is just awful all around!

Series S isn’t a very powerful system. We all know this.

But this game is optimized worth shit. Runs terribly on a PS5 pro. If that can’t get 60 fps without frame gen they have a lot of work to do.

Per the DF video, the one on one fight where the game seems to drop frame-gen, it drops to 40~ on PS5 Pro.

Clearly there's plenty of improvements / optimizations that can be done across the board, and not just for Series S.

Lol you did know I was poking fun at Adam right.

Adam loves and forgives you all the same. Bask in the light of the two lord patrons of gaming. Gamepass and Gamefly.

But Ms hinted Playstation paid for exclusivity…..

https://www.mensjournal.com/videogames/black-myth-wukong-sony-secret-exclusivity-deal-report
Following that, a Microsoft spokesperson suggested the existence of a secret exclusivity deal. "We can't comment on the deals made by our partners with other platform holders, but we remain focused on making Xbox the best platform for gamers, and great games are at the center of that," said Microsoft.

Reports from IGN and Digital Foundry suggest that Sony and Game Science have signed a private deal, though whether it's for timed exclusivity is unclear. Previously, conflicting reports suggested that Game Science did not release Wukong on Xbox due to technical issues, but that seems to be incorrect.

Your telling me those slimy tards at MS, a multi trillion dollar tech company didnt know about the memory issues, and instead tried insinuate that there might be an exclusive deal between PS and Xbox…

Yep and all at the expense of Xbox owners. With MS spreading BS rumors as well on top of it misleading their customers.
