WWE Holding All-Day Creative Meetings Today & Friday

anything leak out of these meetings yet? meltzer pls

Here is how it is going: rest of staff, we need to put Bryan in the Main Event for Wrestlemania, give some lower card people more chances and quit using part timers, have the Wyatts beat Cena, bring in more NXT divas to face AJ and quit pushing the muscle people down the throats of the fans.

HHH and VINCE: NOOOOOOOO!

One funny thing I think a lot of people aren't mentioning is that if they hadn't unified the World Titles, this would be such a smaller problem. They could've had Batista choose to go after the Smackdown World Title earlier in the Card, and have the main event be anything they want. Not saying the World Title unification was a bad thing, just that it was incidentally shitty timing.

Very bad timing indeed. They should have held off on that, but I'm guessing they felt TLC would have done horribly had it not been for that match. Everything about the unification just seemed like panic booking to me.

Insider Scoopz: I heard Vince and Hunter have been holding these creative meetings to try and convince the rest of the writing staff to force Bryan to walk out like they did for CM Punk.

lettuce be real. Before the nWo invaded WCW, WCW was just not a cool company. It catered to hillbilly's and rednecks. As a kid, I just didn't find it being a "cool" product compared to the WWF. Everything about it was just so nerdy, the announcers, WCW Saturday night arena, the theme music and the production was just so uncool.

I now have a big appreciation for it though and can't wait to see old school Vader and Sting.

lettuce be real breh. the slick WCW promo video of sting taking a helicopter ride up the Rocky Mountains to the White Castle of Fear to face off with big van vader and company was the coolest thing out of the early to mid 90s.

Play the game! Play the game!

WCW before Hogan came in was pretty boss for wrasslin. A lot of bad gimmicks, sure, but they also had Austin/Cactus/Prime Sting/Arn Anderson/Bobby Eaton/Steiners/Lex Luger was decent/Miracle Violence Connection/Dustin Rhodes/Prime Rick Rude/Steamboat/Pillman/Liger and so on. The WCW mid card was just as good in 1991-1994 as it was in 1996-1999, just for a different kind of wrestling.

Meltzer drop the Batista bomb a few days before Royal Rumble. I don't have the link but that spoiler was at Wrestlingforum.com

A few days? Meltzer and every single other insider has said Batista was probably winning the Rumble since we knew he was coming back. This isn't because it was leaked that he was winning, it's because he's the only guy who made sense from the storylines they had going on and it's the only thing that made sense for Batista.

Any wrestling "journalist" worth his salt would have reported 100% as fact Batista would be winning the Rumble even if the amount of investigation they had done was watching Raw with the sound off while listening to The Clash and playing 3DS.

Worst case scenario if you're wrong is that you get a story about how "Plans Changed at the last second"

I think that's how the majority of stories in wrestling journalism go.

You didn't need to be a wrestling journalist to know Batista was going to win the Rumble.
You just need to regularly watch ever-predictable WWE programming and understand the way Vince's mind works.

Well yeah, why would they even sign him up to be in it with no real storylines going if he wasn't going to win?

Yeah, as much as I hate having the two belts, the resolution was really lame and seemingly thrown together for what should have been a really big deal.

This WWE we are talking about.

They signed Brock Lesner for 2 million a year and jobbed him out in his first match and spent the next 12 months in a go nowhere feud with triple h.

I wonder what's going to happen when the Network under performs?

I get the feeling most people are going to subscribe for those first six months, get everything they want out of it, then stop subscribing. WWE's monthly PPVs are definitely no incentive to keep people subscribing.

This is why they'll release content in circulation. I doubt they'll release everything in the first six months. I can see them losing subscribers if they decide to not stream Wrestlemania 31 next year.

I think it's more about the upcoming tv contracts than the network. Network will be nice but not able to bump it this much. This is about that nascar money.

Oh gawd, please tell me this is real.

Im sure the wrestling was top notch as ive seen some of old WCW on some WWE DVD releases, but at the time, as a kid in the 90's, guys like Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton and Barry Windham don't exactly scream "cool" like The Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage and Bret Hart. Rude and Steamboat were old WWF guys. The only guy that screamed "cool" in WCW to me as a kid was Sting

Yeah. As a kid, I had no interest in Double A or Bobby Eaton and guys like Bunkhouse Buck embarrassed me as a wrasslin fan. But now I know the error of my ways.

Hunter burying Brock and getting shit twisted lol. Hunter refused to lose to Brock that is why this happened.
