To the surprise of nobody, this week's ratings were a disaster.

Aside from that show, from a ratings standpoint this will probably be the lowest rated show since October 14, 1996, and that's when it was going head-to-head with another wrestling show, major league playoffs and an NFL game.

8 p.m. 2.83 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.72 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.52 million viewers

Went against the first MNF games of the season featuring a highly hyped LA Rams debut. Ignore that the Rams sucked, a Los Angeles NFL team playing is a big deal on TV for now.

Seriously tho worst rated show since October of 96 is horrible. And both of the football games last night were borderline unwatchable.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
LOL you all know Owens is going to take the blame for this.

Sucks for Owens but I don't believe it's his fault. The program is very stall right now.

Its the only decent thing on RAW right now.

Been said countless times but modern raws biggest failing is still that they only try and keep the main event feud evolving where as the rest of the card is just recycled matches over and over and over.

Tag team division is on repeat for the last few months with Club and New Day
So is the womens stuff is still the same. They keep putting all the women in the same feud when they should have 2 or 3 different feuds going
Sheamus versus Cesaros entire gimmick is doing the same shit 7 times in a row.

Smackdown god bless them got the bad end of the stick at the draft but creatively they are doing a bit more with what they got. Not a whole lot but they are trying.

Smackdown may very well beat it this week for the first time, I don't know, ever?

Smackdown used to have better ratings during the early 2000's when it was on UPN.

That third hour is horrendous. It went up against the 49ers vs Rams and that game sucked the entire time.

I liked the Owens/Reigns matched but didn't bother sticking around for much else. Best of seven sheamus/cesaro? The club and new day continuous scrimmage?

There is way to much filler on RAW, other then the main event the show was pointless. I really hope the WWE doesn't blame KO for the shitty ratings, the writing is terrible across the entire show.

Smackdown is a good reason to not watch Raw. Raw started decently enough for a week or two after the split, but has somehow gone to shit despite having a lot of wrestlers I enjoy: KO, Jericho, Charlotte, Bayley, Seth, etc.

So how long can these shows realistically keep going? I assume it's still quite profitable maybe from ticket sales and merchandise?

Down 22% from last years Monday Night Football premier is a disaster. Raw in a couple weeks will be going-up against MNF and the first presidential debate, we might see a record low

I know the smackdown live + roster split was their panic move, but has there been any actual shakeup in how the shows are actually run? Any attempt to bring in new people to shake things up?

The writing has been better than it has been in many areas, with a lot of moves that seem meant to satisfy the dedicated crowd. Every (main) champion the WWE has is somebody who wasn't even on the roster a few years back.

It's a shame this is their reward, but at a certain point it's tough to stop their downward momentum.
