X-men Apocalypse Official Trailer

That comparison is quite cherry picked. You're not even comparing the finales of both movies :-P

Not really. My point was not comparing finale's but comparing how one movie that involved the possibility of two people dying was successful in keeping me as a viewer on the edge of my seat and believing that the stakes were high compared to an event in another movie that had the possibility of thousands dying but completely lacking an iota of tension.

Well, in fairness, the actual finale of TDK takes a huge dump on the entire MCU. It would probably take that universe ten movies to get that character arc out of Harvey Dent. That's how lacking in substance they are. They're Transformers for superhero nerds with the odd exception like Iron Man and Winter Soldier that try to do a little more.

Yup. To think Harvey was not even the traditional main villain of the movie and yet was infinitely more interesting than any of the MCU villains.

Any how getting sidetracked. With regard to this trailer one thing Singer really needs to improve on his visual style. It all comes of looking so cheap for some reason.

But those are two completely different scenarios with different theoretical stakes. I don't think it's a fair comparison when those two scenes are trying to accomplish very different things. That said, TDK is much more successful in what it attempts to do there than AoU in its finale.

Why does generic love interest who's not even a mutant also get a costume? lol.

p.s. Instead of this garbage, they should've stuck with DofP's style where most of the characters (except Magneto, for reasons) were just wearing regular clothes throughout the 70's timeline. This is just shit.

Absolutely. To hell with costumes. They had 80s clothes to work with this time man

I wanted them to fight in denim jackets and hammer pants lol

Disappointed he went the black armor route

Why do Apoc's voice keep changing so much? Literally in the banner that plays after the trailer he has a different voice.

In Singer I trust but c'mon now.

That voice was from the first trailer. There have been 3 kinda voices in all three trailers including the superbowl one. I just don't understand its like they are running a poll or something as which would be the best..

Shitting the movie for their trailers and the looks of the centinels
And turn out one of the best superhero movie

Most of the ultra-big imposing characters like Thanos/Apocalypse/Darkseid look stupid.

Thanos does look like comic Thanos more than Apocalypse looks like comic Apocalypse. Neither look great in live action.

Thanos looks fucking great in live action, as good as it can get. If you want terrible looks, go to apoc and fant4stic doom

Judging from the trailer team Apocalypse will almost win and when Apocalypse goes to kill Mystique Magneto won't be able to see it so he will change sides and with the help of the other X-men defeat him.

I hope he kills her himself to prove loyalty, otherwise having Mags be a horseman only to turn ruins any tension the movie would otherwise have.

The bad guys always die in super hero movies and who better to defeat him than fan favourite Magneto and redeem him at the same time?

Gaf gonna Gaf.

It was a fantastic movie but one of the best? ehh.

Since I saw that dude in Star Wars, I have a feeling he is in every movie I see.

I watched Ex-machina last week and now during this trailer I was like "what the hell"

Dude is an incredible actor. I put him up with Fassbender and Hardy as actors to watch out for. He's putting in great work after llewyn Davis

I quite liked Days of Future Past and I remember the trailer for that movie always intriguing me. This one on the other hand not so much. I'm going to still watch it and it might even be great (maybe even better than Civil War and probably better than BvS) but my hype levels are low. It's all about them hype levels.

The only problem I have is mystique. Now I like j law but mystique as the leader just rubs me the wrong way

It bugged me at first but narratively it makes sense with the movies. She's been around a while so if Xavier and Hank are out of the picture, she's the next person up with combat experience that can lead a green team.

I thought the trailers for Days of Future Past were uninspiring, and that the film was going to be a massive misstep. And It turned out a lot a better than I expected.

I hope I'm wrong again, but I can't help but be pessimistic.

I liked how the music builds in the last few seconds of the trailer but other than that, yeah, something seems pretty off about everything I saw in this trailer.

I feel the same.

Same case as the first trailer, for me.

I haven't seen DOFP, mind you, but this Apocalypse movie has always looked wrong to me. Can't put my finger on why.

It's probably the lack of Wolverine. I'm still finding it difficult that the main man is missing.

People are saying that the trailers for DOFP weren't that great, but I really liked all three them myself. Even with the horrid jump in the first trailer.

I guess the reason why we don't see Mystique in blue much is because JLAW was like "aw hell nah" when it came to the entire makeup process.

I get the complaints about the Mystique character. People claiming Rebecca Romijn was good or better than Lawrence? Give me a fucking break.

but rebecca romin was SO MUCH better

jlaw looks like a little fucking kid pretending to be sexy/grownup/mysterious

I didn't like DoFP at all and I feel like I'll like this more, so nah.

Best trailer yet but still not sold on this movie. Thought DoFP was fun but overrated. I agree with those saying the effects look cheap and expensive at the same time lol
