Seriously though, how they handle Magneto is my biggest worry. It's so weird to see him be a follower at this stage in his life. (I know, he follows Cyclops later on, whatever.)

Really liked the trailer this year is insane for CBM's this ending May we potentially have three good to great coming out within two months starting with BVS.

I think it is perfectly legitimate to hate a trailer, let's not confuse the two.
He might be fast, but doesn't mean he's super strong.

You don't need to be super strong when you're extremely fast. All he needs to do is pick up a rock and throw it at someone while running and that guy is toast.
Still, to this day, don't know why he got the main storyline for World War Hulk instead of the artist who did WWH Uncanny X-men.

Add to that, three of the four horsemen can fly. Storm alone can hover up there and shoot lightning bolts. Cause a snowstorm, freeze the ground, lower the temperature to slow him down. She's OP.

This trailer is the best they've had so far. But is it unfair to say this looks less interesting than x-men 3? Apocalypse is my favorite villan from the X-Men and they butchered him and every character in this looks much less interesting and devoid of character than their adaptations in the previous series.
I imagine it's meant to be an arc within the movie.
Anyway, the trailer looks great, and I'm really looking forward to this. Great action, especially.
I kind of wish they were showing more characterization, but I guess spectacle is the main thing they want to show to get people to buy tickets.
If you freeze-frame the shot of Cyclops trying to blast Storm, you can see Jean behind him guiding his head. They discussed that sequence in one of the interviews about the movie, and it sounded hilarious.
How? This series has a strong track record with villains, and Isaac is a great actor.
Seeing as Agents of SHIELD has many times the running time of all the X-Men movies to date, that isn't surprising.

In terms of design, voice and personality I'm just really not feeling it. His face has improved but that's about it. He's not scary or intimidating at all he's just kinda there. He feels like a generic older dude villan.

I'm getting Last Stand vibes from this film, and that scares me. It looks so rough.
Does anyone else remember the leaked promotional material for First Class that looked atrocious? The marketing for this franchise has been wonky as hell since that movie.

For some reason I thought the X Men films were generally considered being great. What is with some of these comments. Or is this the case of the movies not sticking to the source material, therefore their shit.

Nah, I like xmen being seperate from the MCU, Days of future past and deadpool are some of the best comic book films and they wouldn't exist if Marvel had the rights.
They can have fantastic four back though, I'd like to see Torch and spidey together and doom too.
I seriously have no clue why a lot of people act as if marvel can do no wrong with their movies, like half of their movies have been really boring.

While I don't think they are playing that relationship in these movies canon, the problem linked with that regarding JLaw and all the other actors/actresses from First Class to Apocalypse is that regardless of a couple of decades passing, the actors/actresses themselves haven't aged that fast. If they wanted something believable, they should've focused on each movie featuring a new cast(each one focusing on a new "group" of X-Men characters), or just set them all around First Class(early 60s).
JLaw's beautiful, but despite acting chops, she'll always have a babyface. I know why they are using(or overusing) her, but considering the face that Mystique is a mutant with the ability to transform into anybody, this is a role where each appearance, they could've had a different actress portraying her while not making it seem strange(she's a fuckin' shapeshifter). They could also pull a nod to the previous actress similar to Rebecca's appearance in First Class.
Because she's has a massive amount of star power, probably the most in the xmen movies now that Hugh Jackman isn't in this one. I don't particularly like her but you know, hunger games and oscar and all that jazz.
