The ROI on this just rocketed to Mars.
There are GOOD billionaires, sometimes it takes a lot of personal wealth to achieve great things. When I'm a billionaire I intend to be as benevolent as possibleSomehow we've gone full circle and managed to convince conservatives to happily endorse billionaire rhetoricians masquerading as populists in order to help out their billionaire friends, all so we can dunk on gender pronouns together on twitter

Hard to say that Musk is hurting humanity though. X functions basically as intended. SpaceX is amazing. Teslas, while not the environmentally best idea, are revolutionary in many ways. The Boring company, not so sure about that one. Starlink, will REVOLUTIONIZE communications, no doubt about that one. All them cell phone towers about to be obsolete and I bet in 10-15 years the internet of things will allow for distribution of highspeed wi-fi from a single sat receiver down through hundreds of devices to reach the deepest, darkest corners of the planet to become a ubiquitous service
I just really wish something would be done about all the bots. It's gotten pretty bad. I also think they whole blocking change is such a weird call too considering there's little to no moderation there.Never been happier Musk bought Twitter. It had more engagement last night than ever.
You can’t put a price on shaping the future of the United States of America and the world.
It’s been worth every penny, ten fold.
Musk quotes from October 2022:I'd say that's only a retroactive justification though. It wasn't part of his original intentions behind this whole deal, which is still rather questionable in terms of pure economics.
those are botsNever been happier Musk bought Twitter. It had more engagement last night than ever.
Musk quotes from October 2022:
"The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner without resorting to violence."
"I didn't do it to make more money. I did it to try to help humanity, whom I love. And I do so with humility, recognizing that failure in pursuing this goal, despite our best efforts, is a very real possibility."
He needs to buy Reddit and send it back to pre-pandemic levels of engagement. No bots, no shilling for Kamala or dems, keep politics out of non political subs and there's small chance it could be redeemed.Never been happier Musk bought Twitter. It had more engagement last night than ever.
Something to be celebrated though!Wow a billionaire used his control of media and massive wealth to influence U.S. politics. genius stroke. no one's ever thought about doing this before.
Yes. Though that's a pretty low bar tbfHe made it better though. That's what counts. I'm sure he still has enough money to live in luxury for his next 1000+ lives.
Doesn't matter if you or anyone celebrates it or not. There's nothing you can do about it.Something to be celebrated though!

Well, first of all he is one guy, dudes making petrol cars are many and overall they employ way more people. Also, more support for EVs means easier market for China, so in the end it will be Tesla, subsidised Chinese companies and nobody else. I don’t think it’s in the West interest to make authoritarian regime more powerful than it is.I remember wincing at this when it got reported on. Weird/dumb move to shut out the main guy making electric cars, in favour of the dudes still making the petrol ones.

Now that's the kind of friction that's just waiting for two personality cults to ignite. As long as he strongarms/cajoles/bribes Trump into making it easier for more space exploration. Ultimately that'd be a greater long term good than most other shit.
Au contraire. This guy better stay far away from all politics. The shit was worth 50 billion when he bought it, it’s now worth 9. That’s all I need to know.
Stick to making stupid predictions, musk.
Ha ha ha, no, that's the point, he's gonna be snorting ket all day and suggesting things to Trump non stop. This guy better stay far away from all politics. The shit was worth 50 billion when he bought it, it’s now worth 9. That’s all I need to know.

I'm excited that twitter doesn't let a federal bureaucracy talk it into calling legitimate news sources disinformation while banning their story now.Aren't you excited, now Elon Musk bought a federal bureaucracy and gets to do the same thing that he did for Twitter!
Yep, no problem at all with just directly hawking policy to richest donor. This is fine, everything is fine. Wholesale, out-in-the-open corruption as a matter of policy is awesome and good. Even better if you sell it to aspie weirdos who read Mencius Moldbug and who literally want to break it and crash the economy.I'm excited that twitter doesn't let a federal bureaucracy talk it into calling legitimate news sources disinformation while banning their story now.
