Xb1/PS4 owners, are you happy with your purchase or regret it?

Both Xbox One and PS4.
I regret nothing because I had a blast with my 360 and PS3.

I'm currently using PS4 only for exclusives, while X1 is used for exclusives and multi-plat. I'm happy with this arrangement.

got both and sold both for the profit.

won another xbox one with forza but haven't opened it. not sure if I should keep it or sell it. I want to play DR3 and KI but reading gaf makes the console out to be the step son you never wanted.

ps4 on the other hand has the better 3rd party ports, at least for the time being but the exclusive lineup is very lackluster this year.

don't know what to do....

I am nuetral I guess on my xbone purchase. I think the extra $100 was a waste for kinect considering it is unplugged. As I get older though my time to game decreases. I will probably only play 2-3 titles per yr, and really the only game I am hyped for is gears of war which wont be out for a while.

PS4 owner.

No regrets. Enjoyed every game I've played on it to some degree. I've put a good 40 hours or so into Battlefield 4 and still play it almost daily, which is the most I've ever played a launch game I guess.

Wut?
Gamerpoints?

I bought a wii u in September, put a lot of hours on it till Nov 22, stooped playing it . Got xbox when put a ton of hours on it until mid January, then I bought Mario 3d world, stopped playing xbox except for the Titanfall Alpha.

Moral of the story.... When there's games I love to play, great purchase when they get stale? Luckily I have wii u :)

I'm very happy with my PS4 purchase. It's early yet, sure, but I'm looking to the future. I'm mainly a PC player, but I Keep consoles around for the games that may not come to the platform. Final Fantasy, Metal GearSolid, etc. And those Sony exclusives are amazing. Microsoft have not shown anything making Xbone worth yet. Show me a new Perfect Dark , New Crackdown, and thats a start.

Ps4 here.

I dont know what to say. I only have one game (AC IV: BF) and Im not enjoying it too much. I dont have PS+ and wont get it anytime soon. I know it will come good games but maybe Im just tired of modern games...
I think I will get my snes back.

Got a xbox one and considering selling it.

It's a great console but the PS4 is luring me in. I bought the x1 for halo and gears basically (titanfall somewhat too) but I'm kind of getting tired of FPS at the moment. The x1 controller is awesome and I'm a bit hesitant about the DS4 but I'm sure I can get used to it.

PS+ is a big plus and having only a 360 last gen, I missed out on the sony exclusives. The power issue and better multiplats are also factors in me getting the PS4 also.

I don't have a PC for gaming and I usually only have one console because I don't have time to play both. So I don't know what to do unfortunately :/

PS4, NO RAGRETS (not even one).

best controller I've ever used, solid system, love most of the games I've played on it so far. I have a huge backlog so waiting for games is a non-issue. would buy again.

The only reason I turn my ps4 on these days is to use the web browser to watch giantbomb videos.

that's never even occurred to me. how's the quality?

My PS4 has been collecting dust since December. I don't remember the Wii drought being this bad... that was the only other console I ever bought on launch. Then again, maybe Zelda and Wii Sports just kept me busy for that long.

I'm glad I have the PS3 to supplement.

Not knocking your opinion or anything but there isn't that bad of a drought on the PS4. Lack of more AAA maybe but there's still plenty of games to play. Unless it's games that you prefer that are in small to zero quantity, then that's different but just saying. Good thing to keep the PS3 tho. I have a huge backlog but since launch I haven't touched it lol.

I am very happy with my ps4 and I cant even think about regretting the purchase. Its the only console I own right now and I get all the 3rd parties with superior performance as well as great exclusives (I dont even bother fiddling with a PC).
Its just a great system with a great controller and snappy os.
Its a console which has enough games right now that I want to play and its going to have a lot of them later this year.

I also like the fact that I can Xzibitify the controller with custom decals. Yeah, that gives it some extra awesomeness.

Bought both. So far, I'm very happy with my X1. I am *very* happy with the One exclusives so far - have sunk a lot of time into them and keep coming back. Most of my live friends moved to X1, so I'm sticking to multiplats on Xbox for now. (I have friends on PSN, but no one I actually know outside of the digital space). (I admit that Gamerscore still has its hooks in me as well whereas trophies just never interested me as much - silly, but it does make a difference.)

PS4? I'd have to say that I do regret that purchase. I loved Resogun and really liked Knack, but I don't find myself coming back to either. I didn't like Killzone whatsoever and not being a fan of Infamous, I'm not expecting a AAA retail exclusive to get my time for awhile. I don't hate any of the download exclusives, but none of them have really captured my imagination the way Crimson Dragon and Max have on the X1. I also vastly prefer the Metro UI to the bare bones PS4 UI. Overall, I expect to be playing the PS4 much more in about a year's time (cannot wait for The Order right now), but I bought into it due to the hype and feel that I should have waited until it had more exclusives that I'm interested in.

Never regret! I got a PS4 at launch, and have spent a lot of time playing pick up games of NBA 2K14 and Fifa, I'm about 70-ish hours in ACIV, but I think I'm going to leave it for awhile- maybe revisit it in the summertime, when it's warmer outside!

Honestly, I love the system but I'm falling into old habits- replaying Flower and Flow has been incredible, and I haven't dedicated much time to really getting invested in other games. I've got Knack here, and Killzone, but I'm waiting on a price drop on Tomb Raider to revisit it.

I can't wait for inFAMOUS- everything looks really neat! And UFC comes in May (fingers crossed!) so I'm more than excited about the system. The controller is the best I've used since the 360, and I'm looking forward to playing some great titles.

I keep the 360/PS3 in heavy rotation at all times- a mix of Demon's Souls/WWE 2K14 at the moment, so the PS4 is slightly neglected. I want to go in on an XBO when Quantum Break drops!

A lot of friends who own PS4 are not using theirs. I certainly be getting a PS4 when Mirror's Edge 2, and Carmageddon Reincarnation get released.

Some people have complained the battery life on DS4 is too short, and the thumb sticks have already worn down. Hopefully they improve both things...

This was my first launch console and for now PS4 delivered more than I expected... I have so many games to finish yet.

No regred... just happiness here.

If I choose Xbone instead PS4 then I think I won't have a lot games to play right now... I like indies, Warframe make me love it and Killzone MP is just vicious.

Have the PS4.

Wouldn't say I am happy or disappointed with it. I don't use it, but I don't mind having it. I would only really be disappointed if the price dropped before I find a game for it

Couldn't be more happy with the Xbox One, Great selection of games and I've been using it constantly since launch.

Bitterly disappointed with the PS4, Really regret the purchase and haven't switched it on since the end of December now. Sony really need to up their game with interesting exclusives and the release schedule is dreadful.

Only thing I regret about the PS4 is that almost every game I am hyped about is coming out on PS3

Xbox One, I wouldn't say I regret... But it isn't even plugged in right now. There is nothing on that system that excites me.

I love the Xbox One.

I'd rather the power difference not be there, but it's not a deal-breaker. The Xbox ecosystem is just the better all-around experience for me, and I'll opt for it over the PS4 for the same reasons I opted for the 360 over my gaming PC last gen.

Since I'll use it primarily for exclusives, I do regret owning the PS4 this early. I bought it on impulse and under the impression that inFamous was coming out several weeks ahead of Titanfall.

No regrets. I knew at launch you would only get a handful of titles. There would be a lot of waiting. Being honest with myself, knowing this, I enjoy the games I do have and look forward to years with the console.

I'm happy with the PS4. I even managed to get Battlefield 4 with it for $8. That game could likely hold me over until inFamous comes out.

I had both preordered for launch and at the last minute decided to cancel the PS4 and just go with the Xbox One.

I don't regret that decision at all as there is currently nothing on PS4 that interests me where as Forza, Killer Instinct and now Titanfall have been amazing.

Sometimes I hear about how underpowered the X1 is in.comparison to the PS4 and I question whether I should have just waited... But the bottom line is that ultimately the only thing that really matters is the games and (for my tastes) X1 has the best games.

One thing that annoys me about sony is they play their cards too close to their chest.

Take MS, they talk about Halo 5 and maybe it will come out in a year or 2....who knows, but they still dangle the carrot.

Sony, GOTY Last of us, and they cant tell us anything about a PS4 version yes or no.

Sony, give us some idea what your first parties are doing.

Only thing I regret about the PS4 is that almost every game I am hyped about is coming out on PS3
Sure, but those multiplats are in such a comprised and lesser form on the PS3. Why on earth would someone play Destiny on PS3 at this point? It'll run subHD, and probably be lacking features present the PC/PS4/XboxOne versions. I still love my PS3, but not because it can play new games, but because it can play old games you can't get anywhere else.

X1. It's a good system. A few bugs to work out, but I can see it being brilliant. They should open up the app side and get the TV stuff sorted for pal people.

Happy.

Love my PS4 and I'm excited as fuck for it's future. Ton of exclusives and indies in development along with superior multi-plats...worth the $399 for the investment alone. Can't wait to finally see The Order in action in couple of days.

Bought a PS4.

Haven't gotten a retail game since launch. Am considering Rayman but I already have it on Vita.

Meanwhile been playing a lot on PS3 (XIV, KHHD, LR) and future titles I want (South Park) are last gen only.

Don't think I'll get a PS4 game until the upgrade for XIV. Then my playing will transition to PS4. Keeping that in mind, I could have really waited for the PS4. But I'm happy I got one regardless since they seem difficult to get.

All my digital only titles however have been bought on PS4 since PS4 launch and I'm excited for stuff like Octodad and Transistor.

As a PC gamer i can only compliment PS4-owners with their console. I've been very impressed with its performance so far, and it will only be a matter of time until the games start coming their way.

Xbone, not so much, sorry. I hope it somehow can match up to Sony in the future. Close competition would yield the best result for all consumers.

Bought a ps4 yesterday, and love it. Spending a lot of time watching streams, and am in love with bf4. The ps4 is a really well built piece of hardware. :D

I will probably buy a XB1 when Crackdown 3 comes out.

Only have PS4 and Wii U and I'm happy with both of them.

The PS4, while suffering from the post launch slowdown, is going to have a bright future ahead of it.

The Wii U, I bought it for Nintendo's games, so I knew what to expect when I hooked it up. A great game here and there, but a lot of slow time.

PS4 + Wii U or Xbox One + Wii U is the best combo to have if you can only get (and/ or have time for) two consoles. A lot of game variety. Just choose the Xbox One or PS4 based on what games/features you are interested in.

I have Xbox One and Wii U. So many games to play this year. Love it.

I've been extremely happy with my PS4 purchase. I have plenty of games to play while I wait for a few more games to come out.

I bought an XBox One last week without high expectations. I've been happy with it. I'm impressed most by the features I wasn't expecting -- turning on everything with voice, switching games, "Fast boot" in games or whatever it's called, "XBox Record that," and the Upload Studio. Also, Madden 25 is under-rated and I'm really happy with it so far.

Games are exactly as I was expecting. Generally better looking versions of games I could be playing on my 360/PS3.

Things I'm disappointed with: Lack of games that I can play for 20 minutes and then put down for a while... I really miss the huge library of XBL Arcade games.

XBL wasn't built in a day!

But no, I definitely understand what you mean. Check out Peggle 2 if you haven't already.

Got a PS4, but it's been pretty much unused since the newness wore off. I knew it'd happen because the shortage of games, but I had to get one anyway. I'm eagerly awaiting for Infamous and Drive Club to reignite my interest.

Have both, and regret neither but have been getting pretty bored and mostly gaming on last gen. X1 has picked up a bit lately first with Spinal in KI and now the Titanfall beta, but these systems need more games. TR did nothing for me.

Looking forward to Infamous a lot, hope it lives up to the hype.

Had a ps4 for about a week or so and I'm really loving it. Battlefield is amazing and I can't believe I sprang for Premium but it seems a good deal.

It's been forever since my bro and I owned the same console and being able to play with him and his fiancé is really kick ass.

Happy as can be expected as an early adopter. Only sucks that theres no Driveclub to play on the PS4 right now. And not a peep out of sony on a release date.

At least i can dust off my PS4 now, picked up Tomb Raider yesterday. Should hold me over until Thief 4, and then Infamous baby!.

Bought an Xbox One at launch and I regret it. I'm a huge Killer Instinct fan and I had to have the new one on day one. It's a good game but certainly not worth the price of the console, especially when you figure in the $200 fight stick. I'm not a shooter fan so games like Halo and Titanfall don't do anything for me. Doesn't help that I've loaded the Titanfall beta six times so far and I've yet to be able to play it.

I also use it for Hulu and Netflix. However, I've had a ton of problems with Hulu on the machine. It will almost always time out at least once per episode of a show. Sometimes it will start an episode towards the end for no reason. In my experience, an Apple TV streams at better quality and more reliably.

Crackdown was one of my favorite games of last generation, so I'm hopeful that a new version in the series comes that can recreate the magic.

I'm thrilled to see so many people in this thread enjoy their Xbox One. I hope it continues to provide them joy throughout the generation.

I might end up with a PS4 at some point, but I've never been a fan of Sony's exclusives.

PS4 - kinda regret it. Only playing FIFA on it, wasn't worth £349. Also own Killzone and BF4, but they're both garbage Imo. Should have waited a year or so.

Things I'm disappointed with: Lack of games that I can play for 20 minutes and then put down for a while... I really miss the huge library of XBL Arcade games.

Definitely check out Killer Instinct, Peggle 2, and Halo Spartan Assault Those 3 games are perfect for picking up and playing for 5-20 minutes.

I own both.

Neither of them really are worth what they are charging and if anyone is interested in either one, I'd wait until there are more games out for it because it's pretty weak right now. Both have a lot of potential so I hope that this time next year I'm doing more with them than I am now.

What I like about the Xbox One:

- It is the ultimate media watching machine. With Kinect I can watch whatever I want without a single button pressed. It is so well done to the point where I'm almost too lazy to press a few buttons to watch something on Netflix. The Kinect has always been very responsive to me and what I want to do with it.

- The best games at the moment between the PS4 and Xbone. Dead Rising 3 is a lot of fun. I played a lot of Powerstar Golf and that is a great HSG/MNG clone at the right price. I had a lot of fun with Forza 5. Peggle 2 is great. Halo Spartan Assault is pretty fun but overpriced and has a lot of bugs at the end of it.

What I like about the PS4:

- I like Resogun. It seems like a fun little game that I will play around with here and there 3-4 years from now.

- Nice evolution of the Dual Shock.

- Nice free PS Plus games. Resogun, Don't Starve, and Outlast are pretty nice free games to entice you to put down a subscription.

Yeah, it seems right now that I enjoy the Xbox One more right now and that is the likely case. Yet there is a good lineup for both systems in the future so it won't be too much of an issue for long. I own a Wii U as well and it hasn't been turned on since I beat the post game content of Mario 3D World in December. Going to get Donkey Kong though.
