Xb1/PS4 owners, are you happy with your purchase or regret it?

I regret digitally purchasing a game through PSN.

I regret being an early adopter because I'm bored with my PS4.

I hate the capacitive buttons on my PS4 and may have to request Sony to fix my system. I had to cold boot my PS4 to get my system to eject a game last night.

I rented The Butler from redbox and it wouldn't play. That really fucking pissed me off because I had to reconnect my PS3.

All that being said, I'm underwhelmed.

Can't believe I read through most of this thread but it really helped me decide which one I should buy. It comes down to the games you enjoying playing and the game controller. I keep telling myself to wait but its getting harder.

I'm enjoying both platforms, so no regrets. I wish both had better media capabilities, and I wish I had more time to play, as both have games I don't have te to play.

PS4 has been great. One of the best launch systems I've had. It gets use everyday between media and games, and all the F2P/PS+ stuff has really helped the drought. The UI is awesome, as well. I love it.

Can't wait for Infamous, Driveclub, and all the announcements we're going to get over the next few months.

PS4 here and loving it. I wish games like Dark Souls and South Park were cross-gen as I would pick them up on PS4 for sure. When I play on my PS4, I feel like the entire PlayStation community is right there at my fingertips. Its so easy to jump into a stream, chat with friends, or stream my own game. When I go back to my PS3, it feels like it used to feel going back to PS2. I feel disconnected from everyone.

PS Plus has really been a Godsend for PS4. I got Resogun, Don't Starve, and Outlast out of it so far, which are all great. I haven't even played Contrast yet, though the appeal just isn't there for some reason. Really loving Tomb Raider and multiplayer games of Killzone, and though I know Call of Duty Ghosts is hated around GAF, I really enjoy the co-op stuff. Its nice to have a silky smooth 60fps upscaled graphics version of it. I have the PS3 version of it too which was really cool as they let me upgrade for just $10. That's awesome and I really liked that. I might do the same with Black Flag, but I haven't decided yet.

As for my 360, its funny because it has the whole party chat thing, but most of my friends are on PS4 now so it feels disconnected again like my PS3/PS2. I haven't bought a new game for it since Halo 4 (which I sold) and I really only go back to this thing for Gears 3 and will be forced to for Titanfall as I dont have an Xbone or a strong PC. So basically I only go back to it for two games I can't get anywhere else.

X1 owner here, and happy with the System. OS and controller are top notch. Game library is good. Still, I am baffled by some of MS hardware decisions.. .

Very happy with the PS4! Like at the beginning of gen 7, I'm just waiting on that one knock out "next gen" game. I'm eyeing Infamous...

PS4 owner here

I'm really enjoying the system so far and the games look incredible. PS+ has delivered so far and I'm looking forward to updates in the future. One very happy PS4 owner

I'm very happy with my ps4, it's been a great experience for every game I've played on it. I haven't used it very much in the last few weeks because I've been immersed in my vita a great deal, but once some serious rpgs hit the system, I'll be locked in for ages.

It's just been a great system all around, fast ui, great performance, continued excellence that is ps+, and the voice chat having cross platform with the vita has been a great feature, along with remote play. Very impressed and pleased.

I haven't gamed on my PS4 for months but seeing the availability still so scarce while March approaches makes me glad that I picked one up on day one.

Im very happy with both my PS4 (Main Console) and my XBone (Exclusives). I will say that the PS4 OS was much more polished at launch than the XBO OS, which i was very surprised at, although yesterddays update helped. Achievement viewing still pisses me off though.

Bottom line is if you love to play games they are both worth their entry fee even though they each have their cons.

I got a PS4 for Christmas, haven't had a reason to take it out of the box. The horizon looks pretty bleak, too, which is to say that there's currently nothing on it for me for at least the next year, aside from the MGS demo and maybe Diablo III. Or Yakuza Ishin, if Sega actually decided to get off their ass and bring something to the US.

So I technically don't regret it, but if I'd bought it... well, yeah. I would.

Got both, don't regret either although I buy all 3rd party games on PS4 so my XBone isn't seeing as much use.

Now I've got the Titanfall beta to play though, so it's all good :-)

40 days with a PS4 and had the chance only to play Resogun on it.

Yeah kinda happy, but looking forward to Infamous, The Order and Thief. Didn't buy anything yet cause I'm tired of COD and BF.

Already have nearly 600 hours of gameplay logged on my PS4. I couldn't be happier with it. PS3 and 360 haven't been turned on since Nov. 15th!

XB1 here. I'm definitely enjoying the system and liked it a to when it was upstairs and connected to the TiVo. I'm really enjoying the Titanfall beta.

But there is a part of me that thinks I could have waited and been okay. I don't regret buying it but if I had decided not to I doubt I would have regretted that decision. About the time fall rolls around I'm sure I'll be knee deep in games to play and it won't matter!

Don't regret the PS4. Price went up in my country recently anyway, because of the exchange rate of my currency to USD. :/ Not to mention the lack of supply in most stores. Plus, Second Son is around the corner, which was one of the main reasons for getting one in the first place. So no, not really.

Still want to pick up an Xbone in a few years too. It hasn't even launched here yet, but whatever lol.

went with the x1 because they had the best launch games and titanfall, ps4 will be sometime in 2014 once it has more games. definitely happy with the xbox

Been playing so much catch-up on old games that there is no need for me to buy a new console(s) yet.

Fall will probably be the time I break down and get one or if I suddenly have an influx of cash.

I'm thoroughly enjoying both of them and have no regrets. Really looking forward to Titanfall and Infamous. Glad I bought both and won't have to miss out on anything. I'm actually satisfied enough with the graphics on them that I haven't touched my pc in quite a while despite it being more powerful than both of them. I think I've finally hit the point where I don't care about squeezing out every bit of graphical detail. If it looks good enough, I can play it and be satisfied. Last generation didn't quite do that for me. PC was always the system of choice.

The PS4 has 38 games (5 exclusive) available right now. Its been out for 3 months. Thats averaging over 12.5 games a month. How are there 50 comments on how weak the game lineup is.

I read comments that said they haven't played their PS4 in "months." Hahaha. Its been out 3. So you played it for a week and stopped. Why did you buy one then?

I'm glad I kept one of my PS3s for MP3 support and Usb video support, but damn some of you guys need to check the game lineup again.

Why wouldn't you take it out of the box to at least make sure it works? That's a waste.

I feel bad for whoever bought the PS4 for him. Could you imagine someone getting a gift and saying thanks by just keeping it in the box in a closet? Rude.

PS4 owner.

Very happy with my purchase. The console is quiet, sleek and looks great. The only issue I have is that the material on the left bumper on the controller is coming off, which I expect Sony will do something about.

As a PS4 owner with a < powerful PC I really like it. Mostly a waiting game for me as I want TW3, D3:UEE, and maybe Destiny. F2P offerings like DCUO and Warframe, + Gamefly are easing the wait quite a bit.

I only bought the PS4 because I could get it relatively cheap. I haven't played it at all since launch, there's just nothing of interest out yet (I own the supremely boring ACIV, but can't be bothered with it anymore after playing for 5 hours). I don't see it coming down in price anytime soon and I know there's gonna be a bunch of cool games that I'm gonna want to play on it, so I thought: why not? I'm not gonna be able to justify any big purchases this coming year (in the middle of basically completely remodelling my new house), so it seemed like a good idea.

I'm probably gonna skip the Xbox One for now until it drops heavily in price. It's not been released here yet, but outside of DR3 and D4 there's nothing I want to play on it anyway.

could only choose either one this xmas or the next.

Decided to go for Xb1 1st and PS4 next xmas.

Glad I did, Xb1 is a awesome device, so much more then a games console. I never thought id be ever saying stuff live xbox record that or xbox goto xyz. Feels natural now.
Also the games, Forza, Ryse, DR3 at launch and coming soon Titanfall and Kinect sports, Xb1 imo has the better games atm.

I think if I got a PS4 I would have regrated it, especially since drive club has been delayed for so long. Just doesn't have the games atm that interest me.

I love my PS4, but I overestimated the amount of time that I would be able to play it. With a wife, two little kids, my full time job, and the fact that I am going to school for my masters I only get to play on my portable devices. The Vita was and still is the only platform that I can really invest my time in.

I don't regret the PS4 purchase but I regret buying AC4 for it because I can never play it. I should've gotten it for Wii U instead because with Off TV play I would actually be able to play it. (Vita Remote play is pretty good but not quite good enough for me, at least after playing Wii U off TV play which basically feels like the game is running locally on the gamepad).

Same man :( the misses keeps coming up with stupid reasons why not to play the Titan fall beta this weekend :( thought we could watch a movie been her fav...

I love my Xbox One. Features such as voice control (it works perfect for me) and suspend/resume are truly next gen and most of the exclusive games are a blast to play. Ryse is great, Killer Instinct is awesome, Dead Rising 3 is probably the best launch title (the most fun at least for me) and Forza 5 is also great.

I'm now waiting for Titanfall (currently playing the beta and having a blast).

I get to play on the big TV now and again when she's reading, or, nothing is on. For other times, I have a 19" TV in a case. It suits fine for when I really want to play a game and she really just doesn't want to have to watch me play one.

Compromise save so many potential arguments.

Very.

I was fully aware that launch software wasn't going to blow all the doors off, but AC,, KZ an resogun make for a pretty incredible few months, especially if you've been around for .... Well almost any console launch ever.

PS4 owner and loving them! Sold my 360s and games the day I got my hands on some PS4s :D

Games selection isn't too bad either

Assassins Creed 4
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
Fifa 14
Call of Duty Ghosts
Knack
Killzone Shadow Fall
Need for speed Rivals

Preordered
Infamous and Destiny

got PS4 this past Friday but didn't get any game with it. thanks to PS+ i played Resogun, it was really fun.

Very impressed by the fact that the machine is slimmer than my slim PS3 (not the super slim one)

Pretty happy with the purchase and looking forward to playing FF14 and Diablo 3 on it....

Only one thing: the glossy plastic is way too easy to scratch.

XB1 owner here... No regrets although I think both consoles could have greatly benefitted from some backwards compatibility. I haven't been able to fully remove myself from last Gen consoles and it looks like it may be a while with games like South Park coming out.

Capable PC basically. When I buy a new console, I'm doing it to gain access to games I couldn't have played otherwise. The PS4 simply hasn't done very well in this area. The X1 has provided Killer Instinct, Forza 5, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse, along with a few I haven't got around to yet such as Peggle 2 and Max. The PS4 so far has given me Resogun... neither Killzone or Knack are worth a purchase imo, and I'm not too sure what the other 2 exclusives that you're referring to are. Basically, once I tired of Resogun, there was no reason to turn the machine on anymore.

As for why I bought it... I just stumbled across one in store and decided to pick it up whilst it was available. It's probably not going to drop in price before I start getting some decent use out of it, so it didn't seem to make much difference. I had expected Drive Club to be available by now though. The only reason I regret it at the moment, is because I picked it up instead of a Wii U, which now seems like it would have been a much better purchase for now.

Ps4 owner here. I kinda wish I would of waited for Infamous and some rpgs but I like resogun, warframe and dcuo. Pretty soon the the ff14 arr beta will start and I'll be enjoying that too. I've already beaten tomb raider on the pc,I've never played a killzone game, didn't like the need for speed reviews, not a sport fan... So I'm glad the f2p games are here lol.

I take that back. I may be buying need for speed. The other review I watched had me thinking it was terrible.

I regret not waiting a bit longer as the main reason I bought a PS4 was for MLB 14: The Show and that is coming at least two months late this year. I could have played most games on PC if I wanted as only a few PS4 games interested me.

But I will have gotten one anways so its not really a big deal, but I don't find myself using my PS4 as much as I had hoped. With Titanfall out soon and Dark Souls 2 I'll be using my PC and PS3 way more than my PS4 until May when The Show is out.

Very happy with my purchase of the Xbox One. Only complaint is that none of my friends have it, that should change with Titanfall hopefully.

So far happy with both the PS4 and Xbox One for different reasons.

PS4:
Fast and streamlined ui
Controller
PS+ Games: Resogun, Don't starve, Outlast

Xbox One:
Exclusive Games: Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Killer Instinct
Controller

Overall happy with them both so far, but I will enjoy my PS4 more once Sony has some more retail exclusives available.

PS4 and XBO owner.

Definitely have buyers remorse on the Xbox One. No games I like. Multiplats almost always look better on PS4.
