Probably just a restructuring to streamline operations. Maybe integrate middle-east countries into European operations. I doubt even MS is dumb enough to just pull out of a whole region, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

When these rumors initially cropped up, our sources denied that Xbox had any plans to exit Saudi Arabia, or indeed any region where they are presently operating.
Ami Silverman, Xbox Chief Consumer Sales Officer responded with the following statement:
"Xbox devices are available in all current Xbox hardware-supported countries, including Saudi Arabia," Silverman emphasized. "Console availability may vary by country but Xbox games can be played on consoles, PCs, and on phones, tablets or TVs where Xbox Cloud Gaming is available." Silverman also noted that players can head to xbox.com/regions to see where Xbox will continue to be available, and what types of support you can expect per region.

Just goes to show how far Microsoft is "de-emphasizing" the series consoles. The towel has been thrown on the hardware front. But Xbox the brand will continue onwards on PC and mobile. Their streaming offering is absolute garbage quality wise so prob not enough for the gamepass ultimate crowd at $20 a month, when regular PC gamepass is $12. I'm guessing cloud streaming will be coming to PC gamepass as some point, doesn't make sense to lock it into the $20 a month plan along with the Xbox live gold.

It's just hilarious to me how much cyberbowling he takes for Phil and co. He's one of gaming's biggest lolcows.
I just hope he has some sort of job at Microsoft, or is at least promised one, because doing all this for free would make it even more embarrassing.

he doesnt knowing indiana jones was 100% the one going to playstation while nate the hate 100% confirmed it on twitter

It wasn't a denial. It was just them saying you can still buy Xboxes there...for now.
While stock lasts. They're already not selling the Series S & X refreshes in the country or most of the Middle East. That should tell you everything.

After the stuff early this year I have a theory that Jez does, in fact, have a connect with some people at Microsoft Gaming (as do Tom Warren & Parris), but they're forced to deny rumors until MS gives them the OK to confirm them.
Because that's exactly what Jez did early this year with the Discord leak rumors talking about more Xbox games going to PlayStation & Nintendo. Then suddenly he's one of the first to get an article up with quotes directly from Phil? That's some deep access IMO.
But again, until his secret boss Phil gives the OK, people like Jez have to play stupid and deny deny deny. MS could even be telling them upfront it's not true...but only for now. Then to just email them in a few weeks and go "PSYKE!! We lied! Go run this story for us, would you darling?"

Well luckily for us, we don't have to wait for Jez's confirmation.
Another local Saudi media personality supposedly went out and corroborated the news. Supposedly the stoppage of orders is through an official email?
I personally believed the original reports because they accurately reflect what i see in my home market, but still, this guy I'd consider to be less reliable than True Gaming, so feel free to take this confirmation with a grain of salt.

Like I thought Jez tried to bring up MS's response and Rand called BS on the comment by MS and said it was a non-answer and made him even more worried about the future of Xbox in MENA.
