Shame. I already own nearly every game on the list so far. The others I'm not overly interested in. Maybe later.

Great service though. Only $11AU per month is great.

Btw they gave phantom dust, Ori DE and 14 days of Game pass all for free in the last few days. Not bad.

The plan has a lot of potential but the current lineup is abit weak IMO. More 360 than XB1 games and a lot of throwaway stuff. Hopefully it continues to improve over time but at the moment there's no real value for me personally to sub. They could also do with adding a 12 month option.

Hmmm might check this out depending on what XPA titles they add that are playable on PC.
It's too bad it's not more like EA Access, where you'd maybe get a % off new Microsoft Studios titles / DLC or early access or something. Right now it seems just like a backlog of games that are good for people who maybe haven't had an Xbox before but not for people already bought into the ecosystem.

It looks like it's only for games in the game pass catalog, which right now look like they're all 2-3 years old at least. At least that's what I'm interpreting? Maybe I'm wrong.
I would say you should view the service as just that. The likelyhood you will get many XB1 titles(soon) and games that are not at least one year old is slim.

If you're not an active user in the sense you don't buy many new games then it will be a great service otherwise I don't see it being as valuable.

https://news.xbox.com/2017/05/24/xbox-game-pass-available-june-1/

Earlier this year, we announced Xbox Game Pass, a new digital gaming subscription service that gives you unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games for $9.99 USD per month. To ensure Xbox Game Pass provides the best experience possible for gamers, we rolled the service out first to the Xbox Insider Program, with a limited number of titles to test the features. Thanks to the positive feedback we received from the community, we’re thrilled to launch Xbox Game Pass broadly to the Xbox community in 31 markets and share the entire catalog of over 100 great games.

Beginning today, May 24, all Xbox Live Gold members will get exclusive Early Access to Xbox Game Pass, and can start their 14-day free trial before anyone else. This is our way of saying thank you to our valued Gold members for their continued support.

On Thursday, June 1, Xbox Game Pass will be available for all users. That means anyone with an Xbox Live account can start their 14-day free trial and play over 100 games. Subscriptions will be available for purchase online at xbox.com/game-pass, with a retail offering expected later this year.

We know that a gaming subscription service is only as good as its catalog of titles, so we’re also excited to share the full lineup of Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games that will be available through Xbox Game Pass. At launch and beyond, our goal is to make sure there are great games to play for all gamers.

When Xbox Game Pass launches, you can download and play a broad range of games in full fidelity on your Xbox One or Xbox One S console, including blockbusters like Halo 5: Guardians, NBA 2K16 and Payday 2; fun for the whole family in LEGO Batman, Banjo-Kazooie and Viva Pinata; retro and classic games like Mega Man Legacy Collection, Streets of Rage and Pac-Man Championship Edition; and of course, Xbox Game Pass has a number of great first-person and third-person shooter games, including all three titles in the amazing Bioshock franchise, Gears of War 1-3, Gears Ultimate, Perfect Dark Zero, Borderlands and more.

But the Xbox Game Pass experience doesn’t stop there. At launch, members can also explore classic Xbox hits and community favorites like Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, The Golf Club, Terraria, Resident Evil 0, XCOM: Enemy Within, Mad Max, Knight Squad and many, many more games.

Our commitment to an exciting catalog goes well beyond launch – each month, Xbox Game Pass will add a new set of games to the catalog so there is always something new to play across a diversity of experiences, genres, ratings and more. For gamers, this means endless play of full-fidelity gaming experiences without having to worry about streaming, bandwidth or connectivity issues. For a complete list of all games offered through Xbox Game Pass, visit xbox.com/game-pass. And be sure to check back in each month to see the newest additions to the catalog.

As an added benefit, Xbox Game Pass members can purchase all Xbox One games in the catalog – and related add-ons – at an exclusive discount, allowing you to dive deeper into the Xbox Game Pass titles you love most, and make them part of your permanent library.

Xbox Game Pass reflects our continuing aspiration and commitment to offer gamers the best product for the most value, and joins the diverse experiences only available on Xbox One such as Xbox One Backward Compatibility and Xbox Play Anywhere. With one low monthly price for unlimited access to tons of games, along with exclusive discounts, Xbox Game Pass is a tremendous opportunity to better meet the needs of all gamers.

All of us at Team Xbox have been incredibly excited by the positive reception toward Xbox Game Pass so far, and we’re really eager for the entire Xbox community to get their ticket to endless play in the coming days. We hope you love it as much as the gamers on our team who helped create it!

Cool idea for a service, but I looked at the list of games and it's not something I would pay $12 CAD per month for after the trial.

The games just don't interest me much.

Good starting list, not for me as I game share with a friend and have almost all of these games, but for a few friends this is a steal!

Just keep in mind new games will be added every month.

Signed up for the trial. Already have 5 or 6 games I want to check out. The value is fantastic here, but I wonder how many games they will change every month.

I hate that to play multiplayer you need to have an XBox Live Gold membership on top of this Xbox Game Pass as well. The service sounds good but it's just one giant cash grab to me.

I might be off base here, but I have a sneaky suspicion that E3 is going to give us XBL multiplayer at no charge going forward. With them melding the Xbox brand with Windows 10 (which you don't have to pay for XBL for multiplayer), it just seems like a logical conclusion. They now have other services attached to Gold to justify the $60 yearly subscription, and by adding Game Pass to the mix, there is more revenue they will bring in.

Couldn't see how to access game pass on the store but if you had it in preview, go to manage subscriptions and under expired is game pass and you can get in that way.

I thought they would as well but i think the marketing wouldn't have been put in place if they were.

Microsoft is not going to shut down the insane stream of cash they get from Xbox Live. Xbox Live is cheap I know Iam beating a dead horse but I haven't paid more then 40 for the year ever for the service and it's worth every penny

How do you know the games haven't been released yet?

I'm basing it off the games featured in the marketing image plus the games from the test period. A good majority of it is games that have already been part of Games With Gold, therefore the value just isn't there for me.

However... I see this program as a great value for new Xbox One owners to build a library quickly. If I was new to the platform I'd be all over this.

Edit: Nevermind, the full list is out. Some really decent titles there. Okay, there might be some value here for me!

Makes are conversation moot.

I guess the next step is to build a solid library, then bring some exclusive episodic games with the extra money. The exclusive games will be what will truly bring in more subscribers.

This can easily become Netflix for games if they do it right and stay on top of it.

This is Microsoft we're talking about. Best case scenario is that they bundle XBL Gold with Game Pass.

This is the kind of service that needed to be in place when things like D4 and KI were coming out of the pipeline. Hopefully they can generate more interest in titles like that here...

...hey isn't there a dev that just finished one of the best episodic games ever for sale at the moment?

Me too man... But does this do away with the Games with Gold program as well??? That's another question I have in regards to this program.

Games with Gold is still a thing and will be going forward. They currently have no plans to discontinue it as Game Pass is its own service.

Going to use the trial to finish SSO and Gears Ultimate. If they add more games that interest me I might subscribe later.

Same way how they reacted to EA Pass. Sony is looking after it's consumers by not offering it.

Sony knows what is better for their customers, don't you know?

That's probably because it's the 360 versions in the official release, lol.

Other 360 games included in the pass are fine.

I'm browsing the list directly from the console, using the subscription menu thing. Only Bioshock seems to be affected right now.

Ohh I thought you were trying to install the XB1 versions, since those were in the preview program for it.

Have you checked the XB1 versions? Maybe they got them mixed up
