On Monday, October 24, Xbox Live and Xbox.com will be offline for servicing and unavailable for approximately 24 hours.
Simultaneously, the Xbox.com forums will be shut down in preparation for their grand re-opening.
On October 25, when both Xbox Live and the Website are back online, Xbox.com will be sporting a whole new look-redesigned, revamped and ready to kick into high gear with the launch of Xbox 360. Xbox Live, will also be ready to support all the great new Xbox 360 features.
Approximately one week later, the My Xbox portion of Xbox.com, as well as the new forums, will be unveiled. For more details about My Xbox click here.

My Xbox is a seamless integration between Xbox 360, Xbox Live, and Xbox.com. It reflects the friends you add, achievements you earn, and games you play on Xbox.com in real time. You'll be able to compare your achievements with any other Xbox Live member just by logging in to My Xbox on Xbox.com. (Remember, achievements are new and can only be earned by playing Xbox 360 games.)

/For the past few months, the Xbox web team has been working on a very special Xbox 360 feature that we have kept quiet, until now. Next week when we re-launch Xbox.com, you’ll see a new section of the site called “My Xbox.” Imagine having all that cool gamer card stuff that you have seen in the Xbox 360 Dashboard, on the web. Assuming you have your Xbox 360 connected to the internet, you can! In addition to being able to view your gamer card and the games that you have played, you can also view other members’ gamer cards and the games they have played. You can even compare your achievements to someone else! We are also giving you the ability to take a version of your gamer card (above) and place it on your blog, a forum signature, web page…anywhere you can drop some HTML code. Your gamercard will then be automatically updated as you play games, increase your gamerscore etc. How is that for cool?

We are also upgrading the official Xbox forums, when they are upgraded your gamertag will be your forum name…and when you post, we show your gamer card right next to your post. All of this coolness will come online next week, when Xbox Live and Xbox.com are upgraded. Here are details on the timing of the upgrade

Are you sure?

I think MS employees plan on buying GTA Liberty City Stories with a PSP and playing it all day.

COOLNESS!

hahaha.

Anyway im interested in how the new redesign will look... hopefully they will start adding high definiton videos to xbox tv... thats been there for about 3 years and there hasnt been one link available.

They've got a really cool system going there -- very nice Live integration on the web. Can't wait to see developers really crack this stuff open. I'm interested to see what kind of achievements people come up with -- that was always one of my favorite parts of the Ratchet & Clank series (the skill points) and to see MS take that idea and integrate it into every game. It's very, very cool.

I wonder if this some of these changes will carry over to XB1 as well. It seems that everyone that ties their Gamertag to Passport is going to have a Gamercard... what will show up on it if you're NOT getting a 360?

That second panel in that PA gets me every time I see it. :lol

The fact that you can link your gamer card anywhere HTML coding is allowed and it will be updated real-time rocks! Very nice.

there are going to be a lot of goatse pics on there

I doubt you'll be able to set any old pic as an avatar. You're gonna have to buy a shitty Joanna Dark pic from the marketplace!
