Yep. Should have done this and just went with a new pair or reg batteries while waiting for the Amazon shipment to arrive. I'm a very impatient man. Plan to buy a 2nd pad for Killer Instinct matches in the next couple of days,so will go with Amazon for the battery route in abit. Thanks.

Btw-regular batteries lasted about a week,playing about 6 hours a day. The Official Microsoft chargepack battery pack(with cable) lasted about 4 days with slightly less play time(about 4 hours per day.) Ok I guess.

i noticed that today

the 360 used to flash all 4 corners letting you know its low even after having the battery indicator on screen. wtf were they thinking not putting any visual notifications to low battery. Just have the guide button flash

Xbox One is slowly growing on me, love the twitch app for watching my Dota 2, still odd PS4 doesn't have a proper twitch app. I haven't even popped a game in yet LOL. Going to beat AC4 then I'll try a game.

Please no. Put an indicator in the menu but nothing on the controller. God that blinking light was so annoying on the 360 controller.

Every time I decide I'm buying the other console I see something cool that the One does or has coming. With patches the potential is massive. And the games man, Titanfall and QB alone look crazy. I'm dead set against getting both but it's bloody tough!

Anyone been able to fix the twitch app issue where the picture is stretched passed the tv borders? I can't figure out how to change this and no other app seems to have this problem. The video quality is top notch though

Yeah I'm thinking this first year will be incredible when it comes to fixing existing bugs and adding new features.

Just found out there is a 5 month manufacture date difference. The one with the HDMI sticker was made in Dec. So it's less than a week old. It was made with a fix for the common disc drive.

Wow, that's a fast turnaround from manufacturing to in consumers' hands. They do seem to be shipping a lot of units.

The record feature is by far the coolest thing about this console. Its so easy to use. I am addicted to uploading and watching clips - some KI online comebacks but mainly crazy Battlefield clips. I even had people message me saying my BF4 clips got them hyped. Truly something new and fresh for console gaming.

Why the dumb distinction in te first place?

If your console is unusable out of the box, why should one certain kind of defect yield a free game from customer support, but another type of defect gets you shit? The customer's experience is the same.

There are not much consoles dead out of the box. If the drive is busted you can still play while waiting for your replacement to arrive. That is why they give you a code to download a free game so you can play something. If your fan is loud or the power brick is making some noise you can still use the console just fine while waiting for the replacement. So it's not really the same.

Their reasoning is that a broken disc drive prevents you from actually playing your game, in many cases. The download code is so you can still enjoy the console while you wait a few days for your replacement.

A loud fan is just an annoyance.

My console was noisy so I contacted MS. They told me it should be silent and would need to be replaced - they offered me a free game for my troubles.

People are paying a lot of money for these consoles and they should work absolutely perfect out of the box.

You'll always get numpties that abuse the system, but if you think your console has anything wrong with it, then you should be phoning MS to make sure its all gravy.

I think much of this issue comes from people having wildly different criteria as to what counts for 'quiet', and thus that gets everyone worked up over making sure their console is functioning as it should.

There's a fan in every component of this machine. Don't say it's "completely silent", because it's not. You might not be able to hear the noise, but it's still there. This has caused people online to send their console back because they can hear a fan when they're standing near it in a silent room, which isn't right.

Yeah it won't be completely silent, but it also shouldn't be making an noticeable scraping noise from the other side of the room.

Microsoft themselves said it's supposed to be practically inaudible.

My hard drive was loud enough to hear in another room even when turned off, I think that qualified as replacement worthy. Didn't get anything free, but got a silent box now.

I sent mine in for making a tiny bit more noise but didn't get the free game. :p They don't give to you unless it's your disc drive being broken anyway. Unless you just get some service rep that just don't give a damn.

Does anyone know how I can delete my NFS: Rivals save?

I wanna go back to where it requires an Origin log in and try sort this shit out. Had to use an old Origin log in as it wouldn't accept my current one. Now it's bugging me that I used an old one.

BF4 is such a buggy mess. It's really starting to grate on me. I was playing the single player for something to do and it hit a point and crashed. Now I can't load past a cut scene every time I try and load my game. Add that to the multitude of online problems and the infuriating hit detection. Ugh! I kind of want CoD now.

Sorry to hear that. There should be a law against selling software that crashes this often. One that refunds your money back. I was so set on buying the game till I heard all the horror stories about the buggy pos game. EA at it again. If they disapeared tomorrow nobody would miss 'em.
