they should fix steel battalion and give it out for free on the one, it looked interesting but Kinect 1 was not good.
The sales age geek in me is mad happy about MS showing those stats.

IMO Lococycle loogs pretty bad graphically. The gameplay could be very fun though, and I'm loving the live action stuff I've seen so far.
so I was kinda right. Ha. Forza gonna be the first game you officially play?
Twisted Pixel always delivers with gameplay and humor for me. Thats whats important to me.
Twisted Pixel is amazing. Haven't really followed Lococycle much though.

Really wish they had a extension cable for Kinect 2.0 at launch. I'm not gonna be able to put the console where I want till I get a longer cable for it.
you don't have to change anything. Just grab the DVR remote for more functionality "Live TV" is whatever signal the DVR is sending via HDMI. The episode I am watching is on Tivo, recorded. I can pause, rewind etc.

The TV is really confusing me ... I figured as long as you have some sort of cable box with an HDMI port you could plug your xbox in and use the functionality? Am I being naive?

I think you can plug the cable box in but in order to have all the extra functionality you need another special box... or something.

I'm with Virgin (UK) and have their basic cable, do I need a TiVO? (damn knew I should have upgraded).
All I want is to be able to say "Go to TV" and it do it ... Oh and the guide! ... oh stuff it, I want it all.
Dish is one of the supported providers.. hopefully it works well with my Hopper+Sling

I think for the guide you need something additional. Otherwise you can hook up your basic cable box using HDMI. I think.

it's exclusive to HDMI.
although HDCP is a cruel mistress, the function is in some ways provider agnostic and supports a huge range of STBs. Remember I am talking about US stuff for the most part and carefully repeating things Albert and Larry and Yusuf have already confirmed, but. Hardware "codes" and guide information are kind of easy, solvable and separate components.
it may sound complicated but really it's actually a reflection of how capable and flexible it is.
it only does hella things.

My understanding is that you'll still be able to do the passthrough to essentially overlay the One's UI on top of the TV (get invites to chat, play multiplayer, etc) but what you won't get is the OneGuide.

It needs to know what TV you have and what cable/service you have.. I think Stinkles said it supports receivers as well.
I know MS are good partners with Sky but do you think they'll do something with Virgin?
I'm guessing you have more of an insight on the scope for this TV thing.You'd think they'd partner with the biggest provider here ...

I haven't paid attention to the Xbone news up until the last week or so, is the US getting all the cable features from the start? And it works with DirecTV?

I have no idea about relationships but technically:
Guide is (simplistically, because it can do much more) a database, collected from the internet.
HDMI is a high fidelity video, data and audio connector .
Kinect is an amazing camera, mic and IR blaster. In theory any combination of those functions can be combined and implemented.
