PS4 doesn't do multitasking like the Xbone, nor does it have the same amount of apps available for it, nor does it have the same quality of online (just the voice chat itself is so much better on Xbone in terms of quality), fast game resume, snapping of apps is a revelation (wait until you start farming shit in Destiny, it'll get boring really fast so watching something else on the side will be useful), and the fact that the Xbone has gotten very fast software updates compared to PS4 and will get universal support for windows apps in the future.
I understand superior multi platform games, I'm not stupid, but owing a PS2, Xbox and GC back in the day, I didn't get all multi platform games on Xbox by default, even though they were always superior.
On a computer screen looking at stuff on digital foundry you might see the difference, but on a tv screen it ain't that obvious. For me though it was all about the content, and on that front I always found Microsoft's franchises to be superior to Sony's (only ones I like are uncharted and God of War).
Funny thing though, is why do people compare games like Forza and Driveclub or Halo and Killzone like all it takes is a driving game or a FPS, like it doesn't matter who makes it, as long as it's kind of similar it doesn't matter. IMO, who makes it and the fan following is important, and to me, Killzone is far from being in the same league as Halo. But apparently for some, it's just an FPS, so one or the other, for them it's the same thing. I just can't take that kind of post seriously. I also find MS' games to have better competitive modes and be more played in tournaments compared to Sony's games, so they have longer lasting appeal.
Also, since it seems like almost 80% of people bought a PS4 because it's more powerful (looking at answers), I'd like to know one thing. Honestly, how many people would buy an Xbox Two over a PS5 if they were both the same price but the Xbox Two was more powerful?
