Most of the games wouldn't even be ready this year, might as well accept how the industry is now. Games take long, long, time to make, longer than it takes to make hardware, in some cases.

Is there a way to add games in your purchase history without starting them as a download? Like I wanted Resident Evil and Lost Planet as games with gold but then have to cancel the download. Sure it takes a few seconds and some button presses so not a big deal but still wondering. Also I can't access from the web like Playstation Store, Microsoft always asks me for some extra confirmation code and then nothing happens. What's up with that? Same with the Mobile app. Otherwise I would use those as I'm sure you can redeem through there.

Sure but this can’t be news to Microsoft. I honestly can’t believe things are this silent. Okay so they delayed Halo, it was a good decision, but was that the only game they had planned for the whole launch window and 2021? I don’t understand how they can sit there and say nothing at all at this point. They need to at least show some trailers or teasers so we know what we have to look forward to.

Agree, I think DotT is full Tim Schafer, so credit where credit is due. It is difficult to choose a favourite (Thimbleweed Park is excellent indeed) from that generation where you have The Dig (ok serious), The Fate of Atlantis (half action, quarter comedy, all Indy
), Monkey Island I&II (not just Gilbert), Day of the Tentacle (hilarious, I find the contrast of offbeat and somewhat/sometimes more in your face comedy met with a bit of a sad melancholic undertone to it all... I am quite accustomed to that as tons of Italian comedy I grew up with wrestles with that a lot).

Don’t underestimate the impact COVID had on 2021 games, and the other big factor is the consoles specs were locked in, delaying a year would not have changed a thing just made them a year old to begin with, the only possible delay that I could even have seen to a March/April launch, then you have to ask what difference would it have made in terms of the launch window, the answer is truly none.
Right now we are getting the best console experience, playing games on the best console experience, I don’t see what is really to be unhappy about.

I kinda wanted to see your timeline. If you go into your games folder instead you can sort after latest played. I decreased the icon size to show as far back as possible, 4 weeks back.What am I playing now these, you can also add Hitman 3, which I have on my PS5.
But anyway it’s good that you’re satisfied. The thing for me is that I’m playing Cyberpunk and Control on PC, already made peace with not finishing Valhalla and I got kinda bored at Dirt 5. I’m ready for something new now on Xbox. Very ready.

MS said years ago that they wanted to move away from announcing things far in front of the launch. If you want to announce software in the summer that is releasing in the fall, for example, you just have to shut up about it until the summer, LOL.

That would be okay another year but not after a launch without any launch titles. I don’t want to want to wait until the fall. I’m still waiting to play the best launch window titles in Xbox history. I don’t know if they said that but they probably said something similar.

Is Greedfall really good? I’ve played a couple hours of it, reached the big island and it feels even worse than Dragon Age 2 so far? It’s ugly, it’s full of glitches, it runs like shit, animations are terrible, combat feels simplistic, indoor environments look designed by someone who has never seen a house, there’s barely any soundtrack and half of the voice acting is awful.
I can survive that if there is a good payoff in the story but I’m not feeling it. Did anyone enjoy it?

I finished it but it was a slog, this is one of those games that just refuses to end, think Alien Isolation times 4. It's just classic Eurojank. If you're not feeling it by now I don't think it will get better for you. Nothing wrong with dropping it and picking up a new game.

Haha, well I think the line was that they had the biggest library of titles available at launch ever. All hail the X1, 360, OGXbox BC games, that did make it quite a large library at launch.

I liked the early part of the game and was invested in the story, but eventually the quest design got tedious.
Walk to NPC, do a task for them, go back to NPC to complete the mission. I suppose this is the formula for these games, but everything felt so cookie cutter.

Everything you said is true and continues through the game. Additionally, every building you can enter is a certain type and is the same as every other building of that type, with some tiny exceptions. Every town feels the same. Every village feels the same. Way too many quest have you go to A, then B, then back to A, then C, then back to A, then back to B.
All that said, I tend to like boring games, but this one should have ended about 1/3 into it. There's tons of dialog, with maybe a tenth of it being worthwhile.

I’m not quite ready to seek out greener pastures in terms of a place a bit more receptive to Xbox discussion...but let’s just say I’m lookin’ around a bit. I’m a registered member of the other place, but I’ve not posted there much. I find that one’s voice gets lost in noise there. I should hasten to say that I’ve enjoyed this thread, and the people who participate in it. And as @Rubberwald said, it’s an excellent source for up to date Xbox news.

I actually completed the main storyline and had fun with it, but I'm also kind of eurojank apologist. It's super flawed and everything you described about it is on point, but I just can't resist to get lost in those worlds. If you have XSX maybe you should wait as they promised a XS patch later this year.

The bigger the maps became in the series, the less I liked it. 4 is not bad or anything but I think 2 is my favorite even if the controls really don't hold up.

Anyways, started playing FFVII for the first time through Game Pass yesterday and so far it holds up pretty well (only a little over 3 hours in though). Apparently FF7R's exclusivity period might be ending this month, so fingers crossed we hear news of an Xbox port soon, game looks gorgeous.
