The picture quality is brilliant - ex2510 - it’s really well reviewed. Much better than my AOC 24g2.How's the BenQ there. Does it have a nice clear picture?

Nothing if you don't plug it in.It’s been sitting in my closet for a week. What on earth is there to play on this thing lol
I'm not a game dev, either, but it seems to be a huge upgrade that helps the devs to get better results easier. The tools for the developers are better, it can handle more data/assets faster etc, thus resulting better games. For the non technical amongst us (ie. Me) what's the deal with this? Better games on the way?
These help make a dent in my backlog but I'm kind of getting low on the easy achievement games from the previous ones.May Rewards/10k gamerscore challenge is on.

Only feature missing from Quick resume is the ability to flag one or two so as never to be removed.
I really like the OG Xbox dynamic background they added.
One problem with pinning Quick Resume titles would be game updates. If a game in QR is patched, then there is no other option than discarding its Quick Resume state. That could give false sense of security. I always save, when a game has manual saving, before quitting and accept that I may be returned to a save point, if the QR is lost.
One way to fix it would be to let the update system notice that a game is in QR-state and allow the gamer to defer the installation until the game is safely closed - unless it is some priority patch that fixes an exploit. MP-games, which are more important to be patched at the same time, don't benefit from the Quick Resume, anyway.
Xbox gamers, how are you dealing with the current lack of new games?
I only have a XSX and PC and I’m starting to get really annoyed at Microsoft to be honest. They’re doing all kinds of cool things with Gamepass and BC, and fps boost is mind-blowing, but why haven’t they released a single new 1st party game yet? I don’t understand, it’s been 6 months since launch now. I know Covid is brutal but why are they so behind Sony on software?
Haven’t heard anything about Forza but isn’t Halo coming in Q4? I certainly hope they have something planned before that. Not 1st party but Ascent should arrive soon I hope, looks fantastic. Not sure what else is on the horizon?I think a bit of a dry spell was inevitable. They didn't have enough studios until quite recently and most of the new studios they've picked up had either just released something or were in the process of releasing something. We should have Halo and probably at least one of the Forza titles coming in the near future. Plus whatever Bethesda had on tap for the holidays, though two of their titles are locked to PS5 for the moment.
So much on GP that I haven't played so not an issue for me at the moment.
Thankfully there are still some third party games coming out, I just played through NieR Replicant v.122 on Series X and it was a great time, now I'm going back to the backlog and finishing out Sunset Overdrive, along with getting back into Outriders since they finally fixed the inventory loss glitches.Xbox gamers, how are you dealing with the current lack of new games?

Honestly I think Returnal seems great and Ratchet & Clank seems even crazier. But PS5 can’t be found in my country so that door is closed, don’t want to buy from a scalpers either and risk overpaying for a noisy one. It is what it is. But Microsoft is awfully quiet regarding software. I don’t like it. I hope they’re quiet because they’re ramping up to blow us away at E3 or something.Thankfully there are still some third party games coming out, I just played through NieR Replicant v.122 on Series X and it was a great time, now I'm going back to the backlog and finishing out Sunset Overdrive, along with getting back into Outriders since they finally fixed the inventory loss glitches.
At this point I'm just kinda used to slow output from MS 1st party, we haven't gotten a string of notable releases from them since the Xbox One's launch. Luckily that's going to change, and I don't mind clearing up the stuff I missed and trying out some Game Pass games in the meantime. I don't think the others are doing much better either, frankly. Nintendo's 1st party output outside of ports is basically nonexistent. Sony has been better about getting games out but still nothing really crazy from them. Returnal looks pretty awesome, but not enough to get a console for I feel like (though if I do get a PS5 I'll definitely get it).
Fingers still crossed for Starfield this year.
No issues here. The lack of first party games and not having enough new games to play seem like separate issues. Even in this "drought" there's still plenty of big and small new games coming out to play. It is curious, even with covid, to not have any first party games on a new system for so long. I'm hoping that for whatever reasons maybe these delays actually gave them more time to make the games better quality. You say lack of games, I say just from one series, there's like 10 Yakuza games I need to play.Xbox gamers, how are you dealing with the current lack of new games?

Yeah it’s alright and I have Gamepass til 2024 so I know I’ll have stuff to play. But the console is new and I want something new and super polished that push the system, or at least more extras like Hivebusters, that was nice.I play games to play games. I think I'm less bothered with what's 1st party or 3rd party or exclusive and whatnot than most.
I have a metric shitton of stuff I bought and never finished and stuff being added on game pass that I meant to play, so I don't feel like there is a drought or a shortage of games.
I just keep plugging away at whatever tickles my fancy at any given time. It probably also helps that I have a wide interest in genres so I'm not just constantly looking for the next big AAA game.
I get what you’re saying but it just feels like I’m playing better versions of old games right now and that’s not how a console launch used to be. I have a PC too so I’ve already seen a lot of that.No issues here. The lack of first party games and not having enough new games to play seem like separate issues. Right now I'm playing the re-release of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Far from a "new" game but that doesn't matter to me. Even with PS5 games, the main reason I bought it was for playing my PS4 games on the more powerful hardware.
Does this mean I can only download the rest of the game on launch day?
Mine preloaded yesterday (Tuesday) and I thought it was small at only 21.3GB, I can live with it though as I will be starting with ME1 anyway.
It’s odd tho considering you can download the whole three games now on PC and PlayStation. First time I bought a digital title in a while too (jinx)
It also makes me wonder if we are now going to have to download this huge day one patch on Friday too, instead of just being ready to go.
I'm too busy playing games (my own plus Game Pass games) to worry about it.but I honestly don’t understand how people can be fine with the current 1st party software situation
Always a great idea giving your biggest rival a headstart that you'll never ever catch up to.I think they would’ve gained more by delaying the whole console...
With what? Spiderman DLC? Ratchet and Clank demos? As it is Sony is on an empty field hitting the ball out the park over and over
I would just say wait and see for e3. I suspect we’re going to see Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2 and Flight Sim nailed on this year. I also think we’re going to be surprised with Forza Horizon 5 and Starfield this year, and a release date for Wolfenstein 3.Posts like that are aging quickly the more games Sony pump out. When Ratchet & Clank is out it’ll be difficult to stand satisfied on the sides unless MS has something to counter it with, which I doubt they’ll have.
I like Microsoft, I like the console, I like what they’re doing with Gamepass and BC, but I honestly don’t understand how people can be fine with the current 1st party software situation. They literally only had Halo Infinite planned for launch, and they delayed that. What about those that don’t like first person shooters? I don’t understand how they thought that lineup was good enough.
The console can’t be bought anyway and they’re still updating the console software with new features. I think they would’ve gained more by delaying the whole console... Imagine if they had kept the 12TF hype building up since nobody would know how much difference there would actually be between PS5 and XSX, then launch it this year with 100+ FPS boost titles, Halo Infinite, The Ascent, an updated The Medium, a bigger Gears Hivebusters as a separate game, Forza Horizon 5 and maybe Starfield. Perfection!
As it is Sony is on an empty field hitting the ball out the park over and over while Microsoft hasn’t even tied their shoelaces yet.
The best thing so far for me has been the storage solution. I really don’t understand how PS5 owners can deal with that tiny SSD. And the backwards compability of course with fps boost. That’s just magic. And I also like retail mode Retroarch more than I probably should, it might honestly be the best living room emulator solution I’ve ever experienced. I did a 100% run on Super Metroid and it was pure perfection, looked amazing on the big telly, very little latency, screenshot/movie function, not a single crash or even bug, it was possibly the best playthrough I’ve ever done of what for me is the best game of all times.
So it’s not all bad!
They did it with Xbox One X and it made me skip PS4 Pro, they got me hyped about the extra power so I waited on the better machine, would’ve done it again, it was the right choice.I'm too busy playing games (my own plus Game Pass games) to worry about it.

I think you worry too much. Enjoy what you have.
Well I hope you’re right. But I don’t see how it’s a good plan to launch a console and don’t release any 1st party games for half a year and then stay silent and wait for E3 to show what’s coming. I think the current owners deserve better.I would just say wait and see for e3. I suspect we’re going to see Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2 and Flight Sim nailed on this year. I'm pretty sure they had thought of a better line up for launch, but covid messed up their plans. After the Halo demo, they got careful of showing anything too early.Well I hope you’re right. Yeah I think they banked a bit too much on third party devs to deliver and maybe also that XSX versions would always be better. It’s a slightly awkward situation right now. And I think The Ascent and Scorn was assumed to be out by now. Not sure what else was in their games reel.I'm pretty sure they had thought of a better line up for launch, but covid messed up their plans. Sony studios had probably better backup plan for working from home and the games were almost ready to be able to keep the released.

This time they had the same power hype going but I’d say it’s mostly gone now, seems like it’s at best a 50% chance multiplats will run better on XSX but likely a lot lower. I would say that the economics (Gamepass) and backwards compatibility (FPS boost) is where they’re ahead, feels like they’re behind on everything else.
Absolutely, the future looks bright. But that doesn’t help anyone right now and I have no idea how they can solve that tbh, rushing it and release unfinished games just to fill a gap will be even worse, they need to come out with top notch games or they’ll be laughed at.Once the first-party floodgates start to open it should be smooth sailing, they'll have a much easier time having a steady flow with 23 studios, even if the games take 4 or 5 years to make.
It’ll suck incredibly hard if they haven’t released anything yet when Bethesda’s PS exclusives are coming out.
