So this is 5pm U.K. time today as in Thursday? Or will it be tomorrow/Friday.

I have a elite series 2 controller but I just couldn’t resist picking this bad boy up, I absolutely love the grips on the back, arguably even more so than the elite 2.

I never finished Blind Forest, but Will of the Wisps was much better overall. Similar gameplay of course, but the pacing and structure made it much more enjoyable. I'd recommend it even if you bounced off Blind Forest (unless you tried WOTW and couldn't get in to it either)
i think i might appreciate a game with better pacing, yeah, I just think... I think i went through the time when i could be moved by games like Blind Forest wanted me to be moved about 10 years ago...

In other news, I've learned that Series S can essentially be jailbroken already and can play gamecube games and such... I am insanely psyched about it and getting ready to de-hack and sell my Wii-U!

I'm going to be playing Infinite on the Series S, it's not ideal but I'm glad I'll be in a position to give an opinion on the thing as a Sony fan actually playing it.

Im confused, what do you buy for €20? Is the anniversary edition an extension of the GP version?
You buy the expansion, so to speak. Since Skyrim is on Gamepass, it's as if you own the game, so you only have to pay €20 instead of €55.

I found the upgrade btw, and it's €18 with Gamepass. One just has to scroll down to bundles. The full game is €55.

The Anniversary Edition is essentially the Enhanced/Special edition + $20 worth of the Creation Club mods.

Special Edition (on GP) got updated with some new features like fishing and such but doesn't include the $20 mod bundle. You can choose to just buy the mod bundle separately rather than the full edition.

This should probably have its own thread on the main page but I've never opened a new thread and I'm in a bit of a hurry. Shawyer's detective game seems like the more interesting one to me but I also loved We Happy Few so I'll keep an eye on "Midnight" as well.

I think there's 2 threads on it already. Us mortals cannot match the speed of the forum gods.

Yeah, it's under a couple of other threads already.

Can I say damn is Xbox leaky as hell? Their Surface division is the total opposite.

Forza Horizon 5, is there some mechanic about cars getting slower the more laps you do, was doing the first "Get 100 points first to win" race i found and getting first place the first four laps was easy and thus 80 points, but then suddenly the car just can't get to gear 6 at all and loses a lot of speed and it becomes impossible to win.

Maybe it's just the car i am using but what the hell is up with this, maybe i am just doing something wrong because the AI controlled cars really don't seem to lose any speed at all.

Is there any differences between running on 1440p/120hz vs 4k/60hz on monitor? Like I was thinking series x downscaler is probably faster than monitor one, so that probably favors 1440p/120hz. Is there any other advantages or disadvantages in either setting.

No there's no real difference. Only being if you run 1440/120 you get 120hz options, but non native pixel display. The games will still render in 4k where applicable but it won't as sharp as if you went 4k/60 in the settings.

Oh crap did the fan fest quiz thing go live? If so i totally missed it... whoops

Yes, it was yesterday. Some of the questions were mad, the winner was well up on their Xbox knowledge. Wasn't really time to Google unless you were very quick and specific.

Quite a few games got added to Backwards Compability, including the Otogi games, still not everything i want, Bionic Commando:Rearmed for example is still missing, but getting like 70 games for BC is still amazing and i hope the trend continues.

Unfortunately these are the last games being added. Program is now finished, and while I'm happy with what was added, there are still a few I would have loved to see.

Anyone else stuck on what to spend Reward points on? I’ve just redeemed £5 towards the Halo battle pass. Still have £65 left. I’m flipping between a second controller, Electric Volt, behind my Elite 2/the 500gb memory card/just using it on digital items like Battlefield 2042 once it’s down below £30. If I’m going to save for the memory card though I’m just thinking fuck it and save for another Series S.

I haven't been able to buy Otogi. For some reason, it fails and I get refunded by MS. Any idea if there are some problems currently on their side ?

Evil Genius 2 is really nice, Fae Tactics is also worth a try and My Friend Pedro is a Devolver game i haven't played so it's worth checking out.

The rest...well, i don't care about Deer Simulator and already know Dead Space and Dragon Age, don't know what the rest are at all.
