I play PC games only, have done for the last 10 years.

More console exclusive games coming to PC is only good news for me.

As a PC gamer i have numerous buying options, CD keys sites, traders etc to buy new games at a fraction of the price.

I heard EA wanted to snag the 3rd party license and resurrect Triple Play. Sony always had a 1st party license.

MLB wasn't structure like NFL and other games. They had 1st party and 3rd patty licenses. But I would imagine they wanted it combined for the Madden/FIFA (at the time) like pie. Especially with DD virtual card revenue.

Either way, so many tried and failed the past 20+ years. It probably would have crash and burned MLB baseball games forever if Sony walked away going by the mountains of 3rd party failures the past 2+ decades.

EA was one of the two I was told as well that was after that license

What pc gamer beat you so bad to hurt your feelings like this? I'm the guy with a Xbox series x and ps5 pro. This for sure the last console gen for me. Also, at the end of the day. PC lot cheaper then console after everything. Also, when you want too. You can almost just turn it to a console buy just having it start and stay on big screen stream. Everything can be use on the controller

Nope, it was already known that Bungie games were going to continue to go to Xbox. So name a game that's not MLB, you can't. Better luck next time, champ.

Was it? We knew the deal Bungie agreed to before the purchase was announced did we?

Sony own Bungie solely, at the end of the day they could say no you're not releasing anywhere else Bungie isn't in charge anymore Sony is. But who the fuck knows who's better with the absolute trash GaaS both are producing right now that with another hundreds of millions worth bomb about to drop.

Yes. It was said since day one, Bungie would still operate as if independent and would continue to be on all platforms including Xbox. That was part of the agreement during the purchase.

Sony have dissolve Bungie in at least one more studio (Team LFG). They basically get some people of Bungie and relocate them in another studio. This sounds like independence for you?

But I don't know why people are discussing about this. Bungie is in such bad state right now that I think is completely pointless to Sony keep them as a "exclusive" studio. The best would be to revert the whole purchase, but I think this is out of question.

If I remember correctly, they were allowed to retain their independence so long as they hit certain financial targets. They didn't do that, so now Sony has more say in how Bungie is run than before.
 
It's clear now that Microsoft sees PlayStation as a business partner rather than a competitor.

That might have some early days awkwardness, but I think it's going to be pretty shortlived especially as Microsoft moves further away from Xbox hardware.
