Xbox World 360 asks: "What game is this?"

That would be quite dumb of them, but now I know the name of their magazine that I am not planning on buying so that is worth something.
 
hey guys let me make a story about HUGE 360 game and slowly unravel a picture of FF13, only to then add in the last picture, oh what you thought this was releasing? I said big exclusive not big exclusive coming to 360! Just that it would be neat right? LOL IDIOTS

If they have screens, the full story, etc, I will be interested, but this bait and switch bullshit makes me want their editors to be assassinated more than to buy their shit rag.

Exactly. It would be a very interesting story to find out what happened to what appears to be a well into development update of the game, and why it got canceled. Hyping it up in such a deceptive way is not the right way to go about it.
 
No one else think this is a genuine, personal, effort on Xbox World's part to try and create a big enough fuss to try and flush out the corporate bullshit thats keeping this game from release? Cause a big enough comotion and try embarass the parties involved to get over themselves and just release a game them many people want?

It's goldeneye for sure, but.... it will never match up to the Original.. Remakes never will for the most part.. We have played so many FPS's since than, graphics have advanced, AI, scripted events and more we have played 1000 times and while it might be a nice little memory jogger it will never recapture the glory of the first time you played it...

I don't see how there can be rumors of the game being canceled but nothing material that makes sense about why.

Is it possible the Free Radical people own the game code or content (not the IP of course)?

It was kind of stupid to hype something like this up, but if they have solid details and game assets it'll be an interesting story for sure.
 
This reminds of Matt Cassamassina and Halo DS.

Only he just posted an anecdote on his personal blog saying that a canceled prototype existed, and later posted videos just so people would stop bugging him about it. He didn't actually hype it up as a mysterious exclusive new game with hints as if it was actually coming out.

Nope the Free Radical people don't own the game code - why would they?. Contrary to popular belief the Free Radical guys didn't write Goldeneye all on their own. Only one of them (who did most of the backgrounds) was on it from the start, with Doak on it for just over a year and the other programmer at free rads on it for less than a year. This was a game which took almost 2 and a half years to make.

They made it when they where employed by Rare. The deal is that you give up the intellectual rights to your work for pay. I challenge you to find a company that does not work on that principle & if you do, tell me, I want to apply for a job there.
